Hi guys,
I'm on the hunt for some spinner icons, I've already been over at droidpirates but didn't see any.. Also to the Themer's out there I have just 2 questions 1) for the download and upload icons is the XML needed like with the battery or no? And 2) What is the name of the top tab with the carrier name on it on the pull down screen? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

The backgroud is transparent. Make sure you save them as png files and not jpg.

One of the reasons i love android so much is the ability to customize your phone. What id like to know is whether or not there is any way to change the color of the application icons?

Hello fellow Ontarian... I don't think you can just change the colour of the icons without extracting and actually making an icon pack with your edited icons. Once you do that, then you can use what I use to change the icons. I use Folder Organizer. There's also Bettercut. Here's an example of the icon pack I use.

BTW, no need to be rooted to change these icons.
Thanks man im going to give it a shot. Im trying to learn a bit more about apk files and fidling with them. But, just the same im glad there is an easy solution.

Hey guys,
I know I can strip roms for the notification bar png icons, but I was wondering if anybody had a good location to just download them. I am of course using ninjamorph or metamorph to apply. I have looked at droid pirate, but just wanted some nice looking notification icons...
Thanks
Can't say I've ever seen notification bar icon packs.

Can anyone mod our framework to make white statusbar and black icons like in original eclair/froyo? I can put framework-res.apk with such icons/color from Acer Liquid if you need it...
Post the framework res and ill take a look at it. Not promising anything but shouldnt be to hard.
Basically you want white bar with black text right?

Hi,
Not only framework-res.apk is required for this mod., services.jar is essential for changing clock color
I think this guide will help:-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9066440&postcount=1
good luck
Tried.. Tab hanged after first boot animation, without vibration or displaying anything..
So, I must wait for clever people to do that
Sorry for my late reply, I was away for work. As Galaxyer stated above more file are need to change the bar to white. I have some early builds locally that I am testing but hopefully by end of week I should have something. If you could post the services.jar file from your acer as well as I could do a diff on the two to see where the clock changes are, that would save time.
Here is services.jar
Do not Add any (framework - service - ect) Files to your Galaxy tab
you will hanging up
That files it very specific should be deference for your mobile
Heres my two cents, you can mod all the icons and the background color but modding the clock color is a huge pita. You need to deodex then reodex, push the new files and reboot. Be forewarned that the first boot after doing odex mods takes a while. You can easily replace the icons by downloading the theme you want then use ninjamorph to make the changes. Hope this helps.

As i was a owner of the great hd2 and loved the hyperdroid roms!
i decided to try and port the theme to the sensation!
This is at the early stages
so far:
battery
pulldown and quick settings
removed recent apps from pulldown
Im having a bit of trouble making the notification bar semi transparent
so any advice would be helpful! ive made the png files semi transparent! so i can only guess its in a xml somewhere!
Any way lets us now if you like! or if somethings could be better!
Flash with cwm
Thanks to thyparancy as i am using his "update zip"
I like the style of the notification pulldown. For some reason though, I don't like battery percentages in my notification bar. I know it's more effecient, but meh. Is there a way I could leave it stock? What would I remove from the zip
Thanks
Have you seen this for transparent status bar?

stock battery
Just remove the framework-res from the zip then flash! The notification pulldown are in the systemui only!

Of course, I'd guess there's the modified files inside the .bat you could extract and build into your theme
