Just looking into a few different options, I'm looking for the smoothest game play and I have a HTC Inspire which game play isn't bad at all, but I ordered a Infuse to see what it would compare too, I know it don't have as much RAM but could anyone shed some light on how game play compares between the two who has had both?
Most likely, id have to say the inspire would run games better, being as it has a snapdragon processor, and it comes factory clocked at 1 ghz.

You get that backwards? Then you also have to account for RAM which inspire has more
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Oh yeah, forgot to take RAM into account
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA App
I'd wait for the Nexus prime and not order anything.
Nexus will moat likely go to Sprint ?

Didnt you hear? Its the Droid Prime now

So wait, what would cause smoother gameplay? Is it the processor speed or would the amount of RAM be the determining factor?
Both would contribute greatly on any device.

While I don't know the performance difference between the Inspire and Infuse. I do know coming from an Aria, the performance difference between that and the Inspire was huge. I've also fooled around on my buddies Sensation, and I really don't "notice" a difference.
I do ofcourse have my inspire clocked at 1.6 Ghz. =P

Okay well from side by side comparison, the infuse seems to take the cake for me on gaming. The I used custom roms for both and overclocked both infuse to 1.6 and inspire to 1.8 and the infuse seems to have a smoother gameplay. Anyway just what I've seen with a few different games Dungeon Defenders, Pocket Legends, and Order and Chaos.

When you say smoother gameplay, was there that much of a difference between the two?

Now with nexus s 4g, I might grab myself a nexus s...I have the Epic right now and I know it has 512mb of RAM. Is this the same for the Nexus S?
Thanks,

Yes. But a % of that is reserved for the GPU just like the Epic 4G. It goes down to 345MB.

Dang, I want to have a good gaming device and the GPU from Nexus s and epic are amazing for games. The Evo 3D has a weaker GPU than our current devices, despite that it's dualcore.

Epic 4G & Nexus S/Nexus S 4G feature the same GPU.. its pretty much the same phone minus a physical keyboard + more behind-the-scene upgrades (filesystem/fastboot/cm7) etc.
I got an upgrade from att i used to have a samsung captivate and got an inspire but i heard that the atrix its a better phone should i exchance it or should i keep the inspire
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Inspire =recovery and customization. Atrix= root, but stuck with locked and signed bootloader. So if you don't plan to root your inspire, and load Roms. Then go for atrix. If u do plan to play with your device, then keep inspire. Oh plus motoblur just simply is horrid. That alone kept me away.IMO

I agree with mattmiller. I've heard a lot of negative feedback on the atrix. Check out atrix vs. Inspire videos on YouTube to see what you prefer.

I'm planning on getting a new phone next month and ive narrowed it down to the Ruby or the Hercules. Any advice in which one?
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA App
HTC Ruby is better
Reasoning?
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA App
it does not compute, how can it be better than the SGS2 ?
It does have a higher clock speed at a rumored 1.5ghz but even at that i'm still leaning towards the Hercules

Bump?

So with the phones releasing tomorrow, final thoughts anyone? I've watched video reviews of both phones and I like the photographic abilities of the Amaze but I love Samsung phones so final advice?

what about for the s2
I would trade for the T-Mobile S-II in a heart beat.
I would keep the phone for you. I just traded the mytouch 4g slide for sensation 4g. And I like it but I also like the mytouch 4g slide also. so it was a hard decision to make cause really there the same phone inside so your not losing much there. Just think about it do what's best for you. Tell you the truth the guy that I traded with also wants the sensation back but I don't like Indian traders. It's only a phone so do you and get back to us and tell us how it's going

I love my optimistic t, its a great phone but I have only a few questions...what the best T-Mobile phone on market...the sensation? Also knowing i can get a completely unlocked phone, what would y'all think is the best phone according to performance, internal storage/ram and ie....
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
It is actually optimus...
I think HTC sensation 4g is the best phone in T-mobile network.
The problem with it is the battery, not going to last long.
Samsung galaxy S2
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA Premium App running CM7 over clocked at 806
Nexus prime ...jk, but it will be lol but right now, I'd say its definitely between the Samsung galaxy s2 and the HTC sensation
Sent from my Sensation 4g using XDA App
Toss-up between Sensation and Galaxy S II imo
Sent from my HTC Sensation
So if I find a s2 unlocked, in theory I can use tmobiles network on the phone

Actually and technically, the MyTouch 4G Slide might be the best T-Mobile phone. It has the best camera and audio and other stuff.
Galaxy S II
Any specs on the phone you mentioned...I believe the optimus t uses a 600/800 MHz processor, with my mind falling more to 600...the g1 had the same processor..I loved that phone, man I spent countless hours learning what i could about rom development...unfortunely technology is always involving so its nearly impossible to keep up with it

Are you guys forgetting about the HTC Amaze 4G? That is definitely the best phone on T-Mobile next to the Samsung Galaxy S II
Radar 4g is my favorite at the moment. The dell venue pro is also pretty outstanding. You won't get a better media or gaming device on t-mobile.
Just how more advanced can phones get? Soon our phones might wipe our ass
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
HTC Amaze (why even consider Sensation with Amaze out?) or GS2.
Go for Radar if you are interested in WP7 and aren't interested in customization.

best phone on tmobile is SGS2 or Google Galaxy Nexus
