I used this ROM for a couple of weeks; it was awesome. Make sure you use journaling on; my first pass at it I ran it for a day then it started rebooting. I reflashed from scratch again and applied journaling on and it didn't have that issue.
The theme is really nice as well.
I only switched off because I wanted to see if the EF02 code was causing me to have a large Cell Standy %; it wasn't, EG22 and EH06 (modem anyway) still exhibit the same thing.
This rom is really fast and I'd love to see it in EH06
The newer code/modems have better GPS at least for me anyway.
Thanks again for this work.

Nice rom, old leak.. please update when next leak comes out.

Shoot still no luck i can see i pushed it then checked with root explorer and rebooted but still nothing. I will look for a working genie.apk of it but do you know a good weather and news widget alternative. I am looking for a single widget with both.
also tried to do it with root explorer and set it up as rw/r/r no luck.

[ROM][FROYO] Refuse v1.7 (Updated 07/17/11) - PSA added to OP 08-15-11

Refuse v1.7
PSA: Thank you to all that have PM'ed me, chatted at me in IRC and the fans of this ROM. This is a quick PSA to let everyone know where I am at right now.
I will be waiting until the official gingerbread from AT&T is released before creating a new ROM. When I do, it will be based on the same idea with Refuse.
Light, Battery-Loving, and Quick.
More to come in the near future.
Thanks to everyone for their kind words and feedback. I really appreciate it!
Change Log below.
Installation:
If you are coming from another ROM, manually wipe data and cache via CWM before installing.
Download Refuse_v1.7_CWM.zip.
Copy to /sdcard
Reboot into Recovery (Red, Green, doesn't matter!)
Install zip from SD
Choose Refuse_v1.7_CWM.zip
First boot will be slow. If you do not currently use a ROM with a Voodoo Kernel, it will take a bit longer.

i'm going to flash this tommorrow morning.
i will flash this rom just for this 100% battery icon. no need to install another app for % battery!
does it has "soft reset" option when you press the power button?
Also does this rom have the normal Market or the custom AT&T one? If it has the AT&T market please consider changing it for the basic one.
EDIT: One more question... Any plans to include the versions of the stock apps that will resize if we change the screen density?

Heimdall, perhaps?
im about to test heimdall on linux, macosx may have issues but really shouldnt. the origonal bootloaders on the sgs couldnt be seen by macosx. it should work now as they fixed the bootloaders on the sgs line so a mac can see the phone in download mode, i would imagine that what they changed in the bootloaders made it's way into this phone as well.
edit: heimdall works great on linux. should work equally great on macosx. best thing about terminal based os is no drivers needed. so it is actually easier than doing it in windows.

so why choose the mik's kernel instead of franco's or fserve's latest version?

well, currently on fserve's latest goldenleaf release. just wanna know if there is any advantage in using mik's kernel. i guess mik switched to franco's v18 in his cm7 rom.
v19 and above of francos kernel include the new drivers from the .35 kernel. It's recommended that you use the latest CFS version of francos .32 kernel.
Well I mean this shouldn't escalate into anything and regardless what he said/thought I'm going to try this rom and use as daily driver if its as good as it sounds my only question is can you make a themed version without the battery percentage? Honestly I like seeing my phone at 100% and not full battery but 96% drives me crazy haha will report back on how the flash went

To make it easier for anyone who want to flash I9000,Captivate or Vibrant(haven't tried yet)roms, who would just rather have it all in one package. One flash. Instead of flashing two diffrent items. I know it not a big deal, but it was for me. So I amassed a collection of roms with Hellraiser already mixed in. I just haven't tried them yet. My main reason is so I can get more familiar with the workings of a rom. Once I get a real good understanding I will then construct my own Frankenstein (rom).Lol

Are kernel changes possible or just rom changes? If kernel, I'd like to see USB-OTG Hosting enabled so our SRs can recognize a USB flash drive and be able to read/write/transfer files. I think it involves changing a flag to "Y", but requires the kernel to be decompiled/recompiled which is above my pay grade!
rom updated to 1.1.. screenshots posted
just Rom updates right now, no kernel stuff.
I will work on a toggle mod and adding perm battery icon so its in one ROM. Once i figure this out i should be able to add anything i want.

So far so good, seems very responsive, I use ADW launcher and it plays together very well. Battery seems much improved so far. I had 48% when I went to bed at 11 last night and still had 44 at 730AM!
I prefer minimal roms, so I can add what I WANT

When I deodexed the ROM so i could add 14 toggle mod, I loose Market and APN settings and get no data. It happens after the deodexed and not even adding the toggle mod app/framework to the rom.
I also cant figure out how to get of that ATT Ready2GO crap

I got rid of all my ATT bloat by either just uninstalling from app manager or remounting /system as rw and deleting them from /system/app. I was able to get rid of all of the remaining ATT bloat. I did start from the rom and radio from cdshepherd's thread (1509978). Can't remember if I had to remove R2GO or if it was already removed. Anyhow most were removed when I remounted /system rw. I think there were only 2 that I was able to straight uninstall from app manager.

IF YOU ARE COMING FROM A CM7/CM9/MIUI BASED ROM, FLASH THE STOCK OR STOCK DEODEXED ROM FROM THE DOWNLOADS PRIOR TO FLASHING MY ROM!!!
MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE FLASHING.
Installation:
This is stock so there is no need to wipe or do any of that stuff unless you have a custom rom already on your phone then Wipe stock then flash.
If Running an older version of this rom or just Plane stock flash over and it will run though with the new updates.
Step 1: Download the Custom Rom Zip.
Step 2: Add the Zip to your SD card and Boot into Recovery Mode(Must have a CWM Recovery installed!)
Step 3: Flash the Zip,
Step 4: Boot the phone up and allow it to fully boot on the rom, should take about 5 to 10 minutes.
Setp 5: When phone boots up "Reboot" Phone,
Step 5: Once Phone has booted up fully - Enjoy
NOTE: For some reason the front camera does not work until you Reboot the phone, After this you wont have to reboot again. You dont have to reboot right after the rom flashes so if you forget or didn't do it, its ok.

It actually does the colour goes from "Blue - green - orange - red " it follows your battery status so blue for full - 80% and so on, im not sure the % for the rest i just happen to be on 69% battery, ill try to make it so that it stays blue. it does look better
The link is pointing to a file called "Evolution Rom v1.1.zip". When installed, the installer says it's "Evolution ROM 1.2". Rather than being Android version 2.2.2 which one would expect from a themed stock rom, it's instead android 2.3.4
What's up with that?

it is stock 2.2.2, but adding build.prop changes, or flashing thunder.prop will spoof it into saying 2.3.4
build.prop can effect what games and apps show up in google market for your device, our device has a limited market even tho our phones can actually handle alot of the things being blocked, by editing the build.prop and making the site think you have a different model phone running 2.3.4 it'll show a whole lot more apps and games for you to download
alot of them will work fine, some will not cause the phone just can handle the demands the game or app wants

Not all apps show up I can't get volume+ even from 4shared it say's pursuing error or something like that and won't install and I have that app on my tbolt I think it's cuz it's not really gingerbread.

Have to use a custom recovery, cwm or twrp , best place to find more answers and ROMs for triumph is at phandroid.

Oh ok, wasn't sure lol.. have you tried the flash image GUI? Don't know if it works on triumph mine is dead and buried

Nah it doesn't work the triumph isn't supported I could change my build prop to a supported device but I haven't found anyone who did that and had flash image work
