its no problem, so i start it at the car door opening and have it play for about 25-30 sec, i'll have to come up with a loop incase your phone takes longer than that to boot up. what rom you on and do you know how to use root explorer?

Is this where you place it after you download? I use ES Explorer. Also, do I have to change anything on the file after I download it?
Thanks

Depends on your rom as to where and if you need to rename it, easiest way to find out is goto system/customize/CID/default.xml look near the bottom line 167 (i think) it will say the place and the name for both.
My rice krispies told me what to say
Thats a useful bit of info, thank you.
Edit: i just went to system/customize/resource and there was no CID or any xml. But right at the top was bootanimation.zip. - running synergy rls1. Still, thanks.
Edit2: i misread your post. I checked the wrong path. Sorry. You were dead on.

This is the Xoom boot animation ported for the Nexus One. All credits go to tntdroid over at the androidcentral forums for his DroidX port.
Instructions
Place in tools folder, open a cmd prompt and:
Code:
adb push bootanimation.zip /data/local
Link.
Link2
Alternatively, flash the Xoom-signed file in your recovery of choice:
Link
Note: The little honeycomb bee is not part of the bootanimation but rather seems to be a splash screen, which as of yet N1 users can't change.
Do these instructions apply to the HD Desire port also...like MM's 1.7 build? Or is there some other location to push it to?
Thanks...looks cool.

Edit: was able to dl from the xda app, thanks for adding to post!!
The video doesn't do it justice.
I was hesitance because honestly it didn't look all that with the video.
I tried it and in person it's awesome looking. Thank you.
Also: I used Root Explorer to move the file to data/local

Yep, all N1 ROMs should be compatible, in fact unless I missed something all 800x480 devices should be compatible.

+1 to this. I have rebooted twice in a row just to watch it!
Any possibility of this being made to a flashable zip? If anyone could be kind enough to do so for the more less experienced users it would be greatly appreciated.......thnx.

Hello everyone, I re-edited this post. I would like to know if there is a way to edit the framework.apk and go to the bools (I think) and refit some of the XML codes so we could have our old gingerbread lock animation, all help will be appreciated. Thank you.
wow, thats an offensive first post )to the eyes that is)
and short answer, not really, after a full reboot, the change is lost...
best way to find out? try it! im not a fan of it, so im not even going to bother, but if you root, keep it and copy the files to system, it should work in theory...
but im pretty sure that you have to reboot for the settings to stick :/

And to the OP I don't know but like the above poster said try to copy the files you need to /SYSTEM and then use the FastReboot app, to trick your phone into believing that you have rebooted it and hoefully the changes will stick.

i've read in a other thread how to enaple the crt effect for an android 2.3.4 device easily (just change one line of code in the /system/build.prob file). but sadly... this line of code don't exists on my device (android 2.3.3)
I made this in the kitchen. It is tested and working for ICBINB GB rom.
Just download and install .zip in CMW no need to wipe anything.
(this will also add flying animations)

You should have made a backup of systemui.apk and framworkres.apk that way if anything goes wrong or its smthing you don't like you can manually push them back and undo your mistake or put things back to normal.

You need to get some sort of file explorer/manager from the market that has root access.
I use "root explorer", but there are many others.
My animations are already off so this will be good. Thanks.
I have put a bootanimation.zip file in every known directory that ive read about, ive also deleted every zip file with the word animation it it and i still have the stock uscc animation how do i get rid of it/change it.
what directory is this animation it?
Ive tried:
data/local
system/media
system/customize/resources---(doesn't exist)
Ive searched for animation in root explorer and deleted any bootanimation.zip or similar file.
