Has the NEXUS WEATHER APP been re-written for the iPhone?
I want to capture the graphics of the TEMPERATURE/PRECIPITATION GRAPH for my iPhone.
Thank you,
Eric
people with iPhones don't belong here. this is a site for android/WM/WP7., not iOS. go take your apple junk elsewhere. there are plenty of forums for it, there's even one linked to on the main forum page.
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

With all these threads being moved about quite actively, and that may be a good thing, I myself am not schooled on the difference between what constitutes a general purpose thread versus one that should be considered more of a Q&A type thing. For instance, aren't 90% of the threads here in this forum begun as questions that are missing a question mark in the title? Ether the OP had forgotten to indicate the existence of a question in the thread title or the title is misleading, because invariably, you will find in the OP, you guessed it, a question. So, what's the dealy-o?
General: "The MyTouch 4G looks AWESOME in red!!!"
Q&A: "Does the MyTouch 4G look awesome in red???"
That's about the only diff I've been able to tell
I have to kinda agree. I tried to implement a well known and proven successful thread from WM here, to have place for answers to commonly ask questions with answers in a single thread closed to other post where anyone with a question could look to see the answer before posting. Mainly for Android development but it go shot down by the Moderator. IMHO General should be a place to ask all general questions so the Q & A section is pointless.
Shouldn't this be in the Q&A thread? LOL, just kidding

Q&A section is for questions that have a clear cut answer. General if for a community discussion about a subject. I try to evaluate each thread as if it is for discussion or for Q&A, and sometimes it's hard and I get it wrong. If I do and you feel I made a mistake, feel free to shoot me a PM with your reasoning and I'll take a second look.
Thanks,
Korey

Why not put a list of all the questions that have answers on the first post of your Q&A thread? Then once people get used to checking there first before posting, it will reduce asked question and unnecessary post.

Well that's kinda the point of the Q&A section. Users good just get use to searching as well

Well whatever but as you and I know the majority of users will still not search so in theory it is good but in reality we know what happens. I had my doubts when the WM thread in chefs central started but I can tell you it made a positive impact and works very well, and to have all the solved questions and links to the solved thread in the first post for easy reference helps everyone. Sometimes even the search fails us. It is just a friendly suggestion take it for what it's worth.
Well if someone makes a FAQ thread and makes it look nice, and promises to update it often. I promise to sticky it
I think the two sections are pointless and should be merged as one or too many things are being moved to Q&A, i dont remember every single question being moved into Q&A on the vibrant forum

o they do.... go look , and not everything is being moved from general sections. only cut and dry q&a threads. and im more efficient then most moderators as well jk'ing
Imagine yourself you are a Mod and you have to dialy move dozens of threads just because members do not take care of reading what every section is intended for?
We would like to ask your cooperation to make the forum sections the more clean as possible, remember this is General section, and as it describes:
General
Anything that involves all of the phones and doesn't fit in any of the other fora.
All Questions like the recurrent "what phone should I buy" should go to Q&A section, threads will be moved or deleted.
Please help us!
With the number of users that we have on this site, we rely on users to show maturity, self restraint, respect and civility to others, a significant level of responsibility and, above all, to do their bit to engender an environment that is self policing and tolerant. If we all did this then you definitely would not need moderators to come in and clear out the mess every 10 seconds.

Hi all,
Just a reminder that we have now an Android General section where you can place all your general stuff related to the OS.
Remember here at XDA we cover many other OS´s as well.
Please use the new section!
Why is the iPhone the top phone in the forum list and not the HD2?
This is purely a question and in no way meant to start some kind of crazy "Which is the best phone" argument that can be found all over this forum. I just find it ironic for an anti Apple community. Or is that the point, showing off what we don't aspire to be?
If anybody knows I'm interested.
Regards
what list?

Because XDA is not really meant for the Iphone, but they had to include it somewhere. And its not really the phone specifically. It is for IOS. So if you look at the forum list, it goes Android, Windows Mobile, WP7, then IOS. Below that is when it starts going into actual devices.

Please note: title should read: "Roku HD Development." Not sure what happened there.
Hello all,
After a recent Roku HD purchase, I began thinking about potential underdevelopment for this device. Since they encourage development via the Roku SDK (Sorry, I cannot post links yet), I'd bet that creating an XDA channel to air among other thing, XDA-TV could have far reaching effects. Additionally, as far as I have seen thus far, nobody has uncovered a way to develop a quality Internet channel to enable functional web browsing. For my purposes, I'd like to steam webcasts offered on a website. One of my favorite web casts is currently underway and without a Roku, I'm confided to my Amaze.
Any thoughts?

Understood. I intended it to me more of a discussion about the potential to undertake such a project rather than a simple question. Hopefully i can shake the green or "noob" fairly quick.
Back to the aforementioned topic, I wonder if it's possible to get the market up on this device. Talk about cool!

Ik pretty dumb question but i have this craze to find the best apps for my htc desire 820. I go through Android police posts to get suggestions. Is there a forum or thread where there are suggestions by members for what apps they use or what are the best apps for the phone and stuff like that??
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. There are several threads discussing members' favourite apps on XDA, too many to list actually. But you might find this section interesting:
