Wifi Issues
Thanks for this update. I wanted to let you know, I flashed this 2x and both times wifi caused a bootloop, the first time wifi said "error", and the boot loop was every 6-7 seconds, the second time, the bootloop happened as soon as I turned on wifi, and was a constant bootloop. I was able to use the rom...if wifi was turned off.
Wiped 3x, AmonRa HausMod revA, Latest radio's, hw0004.
I hope you can get this worked out. I am looking forward to it.
Thanks alot

Good work man! Wifi could be a kernel issue. Anyone having issues try a different kernel?

On Odexed WiFi is causing boot loop.

Can someone test wifi on deodexed versio, i could be a odex issue, logcat is complains about wifi right before vm is shut down, and everything dies, causing a endless bootloop

ok, deodex bootlooped on wifi aswell, which, from my pov, is a good thing, that means it's something i did, i'm gonna take the links down, and i'll repost after i redo the base
But if you need the link to help me test it's here:
http://dev-host.org/users/NinjaWolf/182/Stock
---I beleive it has something to do when i pacthed the ota over, ugh, i might have to unroot to get the files right----------
EDIT:
Suspicion confirmed, the issue was no where to be found on the 4.24 ruu base, so, now i just need to redo the ota patch.

Wifi still causes bootloop.
sent from my EVO on Tapatalk

ok, i did a complette rebase by flashing a custom built 4.24 PC36IMG, then flashed the the ota, but i also flashed the radio, and it seems they gave us a new radio, it's now 2.15.00.0808, i'm not sure if that caused the wifi bootloop, but, it's a possibility, since wifi works now. now, i just need to pull the files, and add root and busybox, and hope wifi works still, eta is half an hour from now.

Rooted HTC Stock Froyo 3.26.651.3 - Deodexed

Although this is not the final build of Froyo for our Evo's im sure a lot of people would like to have this.
This rom is rooted, with busybox (thanks netarchy) and deodexed.
You will need to wipe all data and cache (including davlik) before flashing to ensure that there are no issues.
You will also need to flash the new radio and wimax update.
1st
reboot into recovery and wipe data/cache/davlik and flash the rom
Evo-Froyo-2.2-Rooted-Stock-3.26.651.3-Deodexed
when u see the home screen reboot into recovery
2nd
flash the radio update and reboot
Radio-2.15.00.07.28
again... when u see the home screen reboot into recovery
3rd
flash the Wimax update and reboot
Wimax26023
and that should do it.
have fun... and hopefully the final update for Froyo will come sooner than later.

Very nice, thanks. It's funny to see posts of people who can't read and can't wait 12 hours for someone to do this. Now they are whining they want to go back and can't because they lost root.
I've been on this a couple hours and all seems stable and pretty darn zippy for stock sense. 40.3 liinpaq and 1140 quadrant. Tb restored fine and market issues seem to be gone.

[Radio][28th November 2010] 2.42.02.10.29 Sprint CDMA Hero

Ok, so for those of you who are wondering where to find the new Sprint CDMA HTC Hero radio, here it is This is for Sprint users on any rom; however if you're using Firerat's, it will not be as simple as flashing the radio. For those of you running Firerat's, either follow these instructions to flash the radio or see this thread. For those of you NOT running Firerat's, here are the steps to flash:
Download the radio and place on the root of your sd card
Choose "install zip from sd card" in recovery
Select the radio
It should flash, and then ask you to reboot the phone via the menu.
Select "reboot phone" from the recovery menu
The phone should reboot, with a big box and android showing
The phone will then go back to recovey, and say "Formating Cache..."
Wait about 5 seconds, and then reboot!
You're done then, new radio should be flashed! Let me know if you need anything or want to express thanks!
Thanks to Nfinite for the radio pull, here's the MD5 for it: F15CF77B1C08CFB1F357E2574F386F5F

You both are so awesome, thank you!
Did not seem to impact signal so far, though I've only tried laying here in bed. I'll report back after work Monday, as that is always the major radio killer spot for me.
Side note: could be a placebo, but data does ' seem' snappier. I'll report back Monday and hopefully have more answers.
At least as good, if not better so THANKS!!!

No noticeable difference as of yet, but we'll see once I get home how it fares.
Since I use firerats and that method seems daunting, any potential issues with just staying with the old radio? I am due a new phone in Feb and just thinking it might be 'easier' to just stick with the old...also, does anyone know if the PRL is still 60671 or has that been updated also?
Will this work on various software build versions of the stock (rooted) Sprint Hero? Just asking because I didn't upgrade to the latest OTA so I'm still running 2.31.651.7.

if you ran my rom with no issues then you flashed this winzipped radio and have issues now that most likely is not a problem caused by the rom

[Rom] Rooted Stock 4.53.651.1

Here is the 4.53.651.1 OTA I pulled off my phone last night. it has the lastest superuser.apk included and it is completely stock no modifications done to it at all. I have included a link to a deodex version and a odexed version.
Any feedback on how they run is appreciated and any questions are welcomed.
deodex version I have tested the odexed version I have not.
Update:
This doesn't flash the new radio yet, I will be adding it here soon so please be patient while that is done.
Update 2:
Ok I have uploaded a PC36IMG.zip to flash via hboot to upgrade you to the newest radio, just upload it to the root of your sd-card and reboot into hboot and make sure to choose yes when it asks.
Latest Radio PC36IMG.zip
4.53.651.1-deodex-signed.zip
4.53.651.1-odexed-signed.zip
Here are the steps I took to achieve this OTA if anyone is curious
Bought new evo to replace my epic
Ran revolution to obtain s-off
flashed amon_ra
booted to recovery made nand backup
flashed su*.apk (beta4)
rebooted phone
pulled boot.img out of the nand backup
ran adb pull /system/ /OTA
deodexed it to create a deodex version
put together the odex and deodex verions
No need to PM an Evo forum mod. I frequent the Evo forums daily, purely based on the fact that there is ALWAYS a thread that needs cleaned due to certain individuals acting like a bunch of kids.
So please, lets keep the discussion civilised and on topic.
Thank you for the clean up.

Your can find the answer to your first question here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16461907&postcount=2
As far as flashing a radio make sure your on a sense rom, there and plenty to choose from. You have to have S-Off otherwise it wont work. Put the PC36IMG file on the root of your sdcard, boot into bootloader and follow the instructions. Update profile/prl after the radio updates.
Hope that helps you out.

Ya thanks n I ment the ROM do i just flash it through recovery or what

[ROM][deodexed][leak][beta]I997UCKI3

this is the UCKI3 leak deodexed and packaged with entropy's daily driver kernel.
it is CWM flashable for all to try but it is my first deodex and this is a test build from samsung so expect issues.
the kernel from the odin package gives me unreliable cell connections. i will post it later for those that want hdmi and i hope others experience with it is different.
there will be more to come on this, i need to come up with a good rom name then the debloating and stock app modding can begin. i plan to atleast remove the battery full notification, theme the launcher (because atleast in froyo the launcher needed to suport hdmi so im not sure i can just use gtg's great launcher) theme the notification bar and who knows what else.
when att releases it officially i will certainly move on to that as a base.
the link is below
flash me if you are brave
edit:
the known issues are that
-entropy's kernel and hellraiser dont seem to like my dock or car dock , no audio over usb (this is not unique to this rom on my phone)
-crazy rainbows if you use the stock kernel (not packaged with the rom for the reason that the incomplatible bootloaders bork recovery, if you are used to using odin you probably dont need this rom as it is still basically stock)
edit:
hdmi supported kernel is now attached. warning! this has no recovery! let the media scanner run before opening the camera or previews will be rainbows.
edit:
-the cell connection with the att kernel can be unreliable but it "seems" to be better if you shut down the phone in flight mode and restart.
-the email app is broke. im not working on a fix yet.
-wifi doesnt work with a rogers based kernel
this whole thing is a learning experience for me. i'm certainly not a gtg or linuxbozo. far from it infact.

You can always pull the modem.bin from the ZIP, and push it to your phone manually, although I don't remember where it goes, someone else will probably say it.
That's what I'll do when I get home, back to my Infuse (took my Inspire to school today so that my friend can play with it, lol).

Getting errors when trying to flash this. Ignore the md5 mismatch, sadly my backup decided to die and now I can get to recovery but stuck there. Hope I can get the rom to flash with help.

There is no md5 sum present, so yeah.... Just a signed zip!
The assert is at the top and based off what was in the ATT variant.
If you remove that assert in the updater script, should be fine.
However, those values match what I saw in the build.prop......hmmmmm. I'll have it in the morning for yah!

Glad to see a start
I just ordered a tab 2 and was kind of sad nobody was working on it at all...and saw this post today and jumped for joy and thought "atleast someone is doing some sort of work on it..and this is a great start....did the t-mo version get 4.1 yet? I hope someone kangs an AOSP rom for some 4.2.1 love...(prob to high of a hope) but I'm glad to see this atleast...so atleast i'll have some wiggle room..but saw a poster was having issues..and don't want to get stuck in his shoes..so i'll wait to flash...and or do anything..seen as there is no odin restore stuff or lots of roms that are known to work and stable and the like.....
Thanks for starting the game tho!!!!
Hellation,
That updater script is 100% correct. Had a user PM me.
Your Backup must have failed and/or you flashed something you shouldn't have.
You need to remove the "assert" line in the top of the updater script (unzip /META-INF/com/google/updater-script. Your issue could be that it cannot read itself right now.
Re-zip the whole thing and try again.
You have no readable props right now, or the readable props are wrong...

Getting back to you, I sold my T-Mobile model and got a Wi-Fi only one. I was never able to get it to flash. Kept getting Status 7 each time I did.
