Android Emulator and CDMA?

Hi all!
I was trying to figure out if this belongs to Q&A or Dev, but as it is development related I'll post it here.
I've developed an app which displays network info about an android device (Network Info II).
Problem is that I don't have (and can't have as I am in the UK) a CDMA device to test the app on.
Is there a way to get the android emulator to behave as a CDMA phone?
I haven't found any relevant settings anywhere and couldn't find anything on the developer's website.
Many thanks!
(Coming from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=6872513 )
Post your apk here and I'll test it for you.
Its not Dev. It belongs in the App forum...
Wait, to get this straight:
The Android Development Forum is here only for ROM development questions?
All other development questions go to the Themes and Apps forum?
------------
Anyway,
I'm not asking (yet) for someone to test my app (thanks mrinehart93!), I will start a seperate thread for that.
I am asking if someone knows a way to get the Emulator to behave as a CDMA phone.
Thank you!
Try adding.
ro.telephony.default_network = 4
To the emulator build.prop. I don't know if it will work but that's the setting that tells Android to use cdma.

Thanks zenulator,
Tried it but the only thing it does is get the OS to look at the CDMA hardware for info, which doesn't exist on the stock emulator...
Essentially, the phone is still GSM but it won't Android won't report any antennas or providers, or provide a phone number...

[Q] Superpad2 / Flytouch3 Bootmenu?

Hello to the forum
I'm not sure if I'm right here. But I have found no category for this device, so I put it under a general Android.
My question is, is it possible to start on the Superpad 2 / 3 Flytouch another OS? I would like to test out MeeGo or Ubuntu. Both there are in an ARM compatible version. My Linux skills are good, I'm not afraid to work deep in the system.
The device is already rooted. Device Information:
Android2.2-20,110,316
Kernel: 2.6.32.9
What interests me now how I can run a different system of microSD? What are the key combination to turn it on when? I have already asked Google, but nowhere was found suitable.
I thank you all for your tips and sorry my bad English

Coming from webOS to Android -- Point me in the right direction

A few questions:
1. How do I transfer an app into the emulator?
2. Is there any way to run .js / .html / .css project on Android devices?
3. Where can I find a good tutorial / thread / sticky about beginning Android development?
P.S. webOS news today sucks.

Sure html files can be opened with the stock browser, if the .js and .css files are part of the html page i think the browser will deal with them.

Thanks for this FAQ! Good work! :good:
New to Tab and I've been reading the forums to learn the process on this thing. Completely different than my phone. So here are the things I've got as questions and have been trying to get straight in the notes I'm compiling for myself... maybe they are topics/questions that you can address in the FAQ if you feel they might be helpful to others.
1. What is a general overview of the process for the Tab? For my phone it's straightforward to me, but to newcomers it's confusing, and now the tables have turned for me.
What I've gotten so far:
- Root using Odin
- Flash CWM
- Flash ROMs using CWM, and that from this point on Odin is not necessary???
2. What is Odin? Some sort of tool... what are the reasons one uses it? What is the difference between Odin and Mobile Odin - I think I read that Mobile Odin doesn't increase your flash counter?
3. How does this flash counter work, where is it? How many, if any, times can you flash a custom ROM according to Samsung? What is "bin"? Does Triangle Away remove all traces of custom flashing?
Link I found on Triangle Away: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494114
4. How does one return to stock for warranty purposes? Will there be signs of having rooted the Tab?
5. What is Kies, what is it for?
Here's a link I came across for info on Download Mode: http://forum.jakar.co/android-hack/1341265231/
That's what I got so far.
Is there any tweaks for camera to record at 60fps 720p?
Thanks for your time

I would flash TWRP if I was you, it's much better in comparison to CWM (says me who is still running CWM on my Tab lol. I have TWRP on my HTC One V though and it's great). I am not that clued up on Odin but to meit seems like just a graphical user interface for using ADB and android SDK to flash instead of using console commands. You do not need to worry much about the process Galaxy Tab 2 is virtually un-brickable.
Tab 2 Question
I am looking into purchasing a 10.1 Tab 2 right now assuming it has the one piece of functionality I'm looking for. The model I have available to me is SGH-I497. However, I can't seem to find a definitive yes or no as to whether the device is capable of voice calls via the GSM radio. I understand that there are a lot of VOIP alternatives but I am specifically looking for GSM based calls. Anyone have any ABSOLUTELY FOR SURE yes or no answer to this?
---------- Post added at 12:23 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:00 AM ----------
After a fairly extensive search of the forums, I have found that it appears that this model does not support the feature set that I am looking for. As a result, I'll pass on the buy.
no tab 2 camera is a very bad hardware so no software can pimp it but u can try some camera apps from googleplay store these add effects to camera that make it look less *****y

WLAN stands for wireless lan and probably the app you are talking about prevents you from using your data plan for video calls

Here I found a general info about DualBooting of WinCE and Android: OSLoader is a Dual Boot Bootloader for Android on Windows CE Devices.
And here is the info about RunDroid: RunDroid-Dual Boot To Android [SD] Or Windows Mobile 6
But it seems like it's for Windows Mobile 6 ... not Windows CE.
Here is the corresponding app thread: [APP][9/23/11] RunDroid-dual boot to (multi) Android [SD] or WM6
Maybe you find the solution to your issue there.
thanks
Hi, I tried your suggestions, but do not go well, if I'm not mistaken something, or maybe because the Wince is installed in a rom
My problem is this:
I need the Android OS that turns on wince installed on sd, ready to start using the car wince.
could you help me for a solution?
Thank you very much
