bell build.prop file - Mobile TV - HTC Sensation

Hi guys, anyone able to give me a copy of the stock Bell HTC Sensation build.prop? Heard I need to just edit a couple of line, not sure which ones.
I'm using Android Revolution 3.0.1 and it's perfect except I lost access to my Bell Mobile TV. Apk installed but it always says "There was a problem connection to the service. Please check your network connection"

[Q] APK Installed apps problem

Hi everyone,
I just bought a Motorola Milestone in Brazil and rooted it to use some apps like AdFree.
I got a problem and I dunno if it has anything to do with rooting or not.
I downloaded some APK files and installed it using the appInstaller, but they can't access the WiFi!
Whenever they try to use the WiFi it says that it's unavailable, even if the WiFi is on and connected to a network BEFORE the program was open.
Can anyone tell me what's the matter with them?
Btw, my cellphone is running 2.1-update1 Android, which came with the cellphone.
Thanks in advance!
Woaw...I guess no one knows what happened....25 views and no reply...
I can't make it work! I'm still trying to make something happen...Why the APK installed apps don't connect to the internet via Wi-Fi or 3G?

Are you using an HTC that came with the connection setup app?
I am using a HTC trophy.
As soon as I load the app the error appears.
I was thinking the app is looking for a db file that should be on the phone somewhere.
Any ideas?
Find a solution for this? I have a Mazaa (MS Dev Phone) and I'm trying to get it to use Verizon. TMobile SIM cards work, but even with the SIM card installed I get the same error you get.
Did your trophy work before a custom rom or something?
I'm assuming the phone is missing some of the stuff Verizon would have pre-installed. Is there a way to view the contents of a custom ROM from a pre-configured Trophy?
same boat mate. maaza can't provision. :S

[Q] Need Help - Samsung Galaxy Fit S5670

Hi All,
I am relatively a new user to Android and have recently bought my new Samsung Galaxy Fit mobile phone.
I have my Broadband connection for my PC and am able to make it as a wireless router. So my only job would be connect my phone to my PC's network.
But, I got to know about the limitations we have in Android phones with Ad-hoc networking and hence will have to tweak the settings, which first requires rooting into the phone.
So, what I am looking for is a way to root into my mobile and if available a complete reference on how to connect to any ad-hoc network that is available.
Thanks so much..! Any response is highly appreciated.

You could use an app such as the one attached. Download and install the attached file and try it. Hope it helps.
Thanks Theonew for your response, but unfortunately the Z4root doesn't seem to work.
I installed it and tried runnin the app, it runs for a while and then auto disappears. I assume that this should have worked but unfortunately when I type "su" in the Terminal it shows Permission denied again.
Little more help..

Try the other app uploaded in my previous post. If it still doesn't work, then go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682 and see if this works.
Hi Theonew,
Thanks for the link. I used SuperOneClick and it worked well.
Now, as I read in many articles I tried using a wpa_suppliant patch to detect the ad hoc networks but this does not seem to detetc any.
Can you please link me to any article if available

[Q] unlock and install apk

Hi,
I have rooted captivate running default ATT os eclair android.
I am unable to get it to connect to wifi hotspot (adhoc, open) in my laptop. HTC G1 connects fine to it. I just do not understand why captivate cannot connect.
So to install apk I tried sdcard route but says blocked. In Application menu I do not see any option to allow unknown sources like I see in HTC G1 which is running cyanogenmod.
since wifi does not work I cannot install using market. since unknown sources is not an option available in phone menu I cannot install either.
any alternatives ?
1) should install another rom like cyanogenmod ?
Regards,
Miten.

This will allow you to enable sideloading:
http://pocketnow.com/android/how-to-enable-app-sideloading-on-the-att-samsung-captivate
It worked for me and was easy to follow.
Hi,
sideloading itself needs installing apk. I have issue in first place that of phone not letting install from sdcard due to it not being from Android Market and wifi does not connect me to my local home hotspot.
do I need to have some sim in phone to get wifi to work ? I have been trying without having sim in phone since I know my sim is not ATT and the phone is locked currently to ATT and that unlocking is what I am trying to get done.
Regards,
Miten.
You need Superoneclick. It will root your phone, and it will also change the settings to allow for 3rd party apps.

[Q] How to make cdma-carriers-conf can be used in the rom?

Hi Guys,
I am using the CDMA android phone and found that the phone is not able to connect the internet via 3G. The problem is that the APN is not set in the phone. However, I have another CDMA phone and there have a files call cdma-carriers-conf.xml under /system/etc. I copy this files to my phone but it seems that it doesn't work. Do anyone know how can I make the system to detect the cdma-carriers-conf.xml rahter than apn-conf.xml?
Thx,
Xcraft
