I thought it was a little ota. I wouldn't know cuz I'm always on customs. But in that case u have to install 2.3.3

Do mind that using an RUU will WIPE your phone in the process.
If you just want to update use this: http://www.multiupload.com/VM51YXCOKF
Note that you'll have to flash back the stock recovery in order to apply it (you can flash Clockwork back later).
Otherwise: http://www.filefactory.com/file/cd1...00U_10.14.9035.01_M_release_208857_signed.exe

Neither of those are for the T-Mobile US Sensation
For the OP, you can't yet as it's not leaked

I would love a RUU as well. I seen my update button pop up once, but it failed(Stock) and I have not seen it since or the update file anywhere.

Call HTC and tell them your phone stopped responding, they can send you a link for 1.45

[Q] install New RUU

Good day
I got my new sensation 2 days ago i need to install new RUU on the device but i don't know where to start and what to do
plz i need help thxx
You can't flash an RUU that's different from you original version. It's been covered SO many times before it's not funny.
What RUU are you trying to flash and what ROM is currently on your phone?
im trying to install "RUU_Pyramid_HTC_ARA_1.34.415.1"
and idon't know what is the current RUU on my device
my problem is :
i want to add arabic support to my device , when i run the RUU it can't discover the device, my device is connects and set to USB disk drive
You can't do it. To find the version on your handset go to Settings>About phone>Software information
And it shouldn't be connected in Disk Drive mode to run an RUU - you set it to HTC Sync (and you need HTC Sync installed on your PC)
Android Version 2.3.3
Software number 1.35.720.1
Kernal 2.6.35.10-g9cef70d
and if i can't how can i install arabic support on device??
You can't, simple as that. You need to wait until we have root access to flash a new ROM which has Arabic support built into it. Might be weeks yet
as mentioned above, you just can't at the moment, for arabic webpages however you can download Firefox which renders arabic websites without a problem, I know that doesn't solve all the problems though, the facebook app for instance can't ready arabic unless it's supported natively by the rom, don't worry though, once HTC releases its S-off update all will be fine.

So it also won't be possible to flash the "RUU_Pyramid_HTC_Europe_1.35.401.1_Radio_10.43a.900 7.00U_10.51.9007.27_M3_release_198179_signed"
to a 1.34.206.1 (Europe) device, right? =(
or is there a possibility to do this?
Would be really nice to get that unbranded version to my phone cause I really dislike waiting weeks or longer for a new branded version every time a new software version is released.. :/
That's correct, you can't debrand until we have full root access
Not what I've wanted to read but thanks for the answer :')
I hope that will change soon

Your thread in general isn't helpful to the guy dragging up an 8 month old thread. To answer the question you need to s-off, set super cid and then flash the RUU you wish to use

Rooted no system update?

So I have a rooted sensation...no ROM. HOWEVER I just got a system update pushed to my phone from HTC and everytime it starts to install it freezes with the little green guy and a exclamation point in a triangle. You can still get haptic feedback on the touch keys but the only way to clear the screen is to remove the battery. Any advice?

I also got the same problem, haw can we fix this? Please help.
Is CWM installed? that can be the issue. if so flash stock recovery (at your own risk)

Could also be a failed signature check. I know around this time last year (maybe November) the Desire got an update like this, however if you were rooted it would not pass the signature check for some reason. Also if you were unbranded on an originally branded device and NOT rooted it would also cause this problem. I remember being able to fix the problem, I just can't remember how
It won't install until you go back to stock recovery. There is a thread somewhere in the sensation forums that tells you how. You will have to search though cause I can't remember where but I remember reading it.

Did either of you figure out the fix, or did you give up? I'm in the same position and would like to know how to do this. Please provide any links that you can. Thanks.
from what i read you have to flash stock recovery the instructions for this can be found in android development
I solved ny fully flashing a stock rom
I had same issue , so I used an rru that I have from the stock rru thread in android develpment, and then I can accept the over the air updates and have it to work, but it is very annoying way to go.
The problem that the HTC official updates need the htc own recovery and not the one we burn to have the abilty to install su and root.
So after u install a stock rom and have it updated u will have to root probably at least to clear the battery stats,,, this will make u loose abilty to accept updates again ??!!
I wish if someone can tell us an easier solution

[Q] Is there a PG58IMG.zip to go back to stock TMOUS GB?

i want to downgrade everything back to stock because i need wifi calling to actually work. i cant get any patch or fix or work around to work with any ics rom. can somebody please pointme in the direction i need to go either to that file pg58img.zip or directions on how to revert and a link to the stock rom. not that link to file factory because it never works. thanks
so is it not possible? i am on ics now and i hate it. i have been searching for hours and all i wanna do is go back to gb so i can use my wifi calling. why does it seem impossible to do so? the ruu thing gives me errors. i dont care about ota updates. can i go back to gb or not?
Have you tried ARHD6.6.2? It should be working...
Are you s-off, rooted? If so I think you need to flash the 1.17 firmware PG58IMG to go back to gb.

Which hboot are you currently running on? And which ROM?

i finally got back to stock
I am rooted and booted by the way. I hate when someone has a problem then fix it and don't post how they fixed it. Therefore a super simple guide to get back to stock tmous GB will be coming soon. I found it very annoying that it took me about 2 hours of non stop searching to figure it out so I will make a guide pertaining only to reverting to gb while keeping s off and root and pointing in all the right directions to make it easier for the next guy. I'm sorry but as of right now I have found all ics roms to be too buggy for everyday use. I am going to wait for an official tmous ics rom to drop. Thanks.

If you have the RUU, extract the rom.zip yourself

Htc Sensation 4g Problem

Hey guys, so I bought a htc sensation 4g off a guy from craigslist a couple of months ago and it was fine up until now Im having problems. The phone is rooted but im not sure what it is (From what I know it says Image version: 1.72.401.1). The problem im having is that is freezes up after a couple minutes of use and its mainly my messages that freeze up.
With that being said, I want to un-root the phone in hopes that it will come back to working order. I have tried to google a fix and tried the The Unlocker's Guide but I cant seem to get the correct RUU to un-root this. I've downloaded a couple and they all say to get the correct ROM update utility. Thanks for reading!
It's probably because you haven't done super cid on.your phone:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192630
However any random turnoffs can be due to battery problems so you may have to get a new one.
Is the phone running complete.stock?

If your doing this to just use straight talk then I have to inform you. You don't have to just slap the sim card in with phone off then boot and adjust the apn settings.
