[Q] custom sense themes for evo shift? - EVO Shift 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am going to upgrade to an evo shift pretty soon and was wondering, how many custom sense themes are there?

Plenty . It relly doesn't matter if your on Froyo, or GB. If your on GB there's also skins. Which are alot easier to deal with. Especially if your constantly want to change looks . Plus there's also a thread started by notsointeresting. You can post up requests for themes. There's an abudance of options.

Another ? Is, is it possible 2 get custom skins on GB without having 2 temp root?

Pretty sure you don't need root to use skins

All of the sense 2.1 skins are paid. And I don't have the money for it. Does anyone have a dropbox and has custom skins in it so they could send me some?

Rooted, Flashed... but issues..

So, ive rooted my phone, and put on the latest RCMix rom. All is great, minor bugs, BUT, i only have about 15mb free! I can't install ANY apps cause there isnt enough room :S
what could be the issue? how can I fix it? Are there any better roms with sense 2.1/3.0(lockscreen) + android 2.3.x? Help?
thanks!

do you have a desire S or a desire?
this is the desire S forum
because the desire S generally has a lot of space left with all ROMs,but the desire has low ROM so you dont get much space
Wow, so sorry guys, I posted in the wrong forum, I have a Desire not a Desire S.
Please close this thread mods! Thanks!

[Q] Custom ADW Theme

I just decided to root my Inspire 4G and install a few new ROMs and I've seen ADW installed with a lot of custom ROMs. I found this link on creating your own themes for ADW and was just wondering if this is the best way, or if there is a better way. (Can't post links yet) . Since I like to customize my own themes and wallpapers, I just figured I'd do that, since most of the themes I found weren't to my liking. Anybody got a better way to make themes?

Any suggestions for good roms for the mytouch4g

Well I'm not asking for the best roms but, just some roms that you think are good for the mytouch 4g. I really do like the style of the ics but it is still in beta version (for the mytouch 4g) and I would rather just wait until the majority of the bugs have been fixed. There are just so many roms I really don't know which ones to pick from. I've tried the Cm7 but I had some problems with the mms on it unfortunately. SO i had to get rid of it.
But anyway. Does anyone have some suggestions on some roms that they like on their mytouch 4g? I don't really know which ones to pick from thanks.
and please provide a link to the roms download page as well, if you can.
thank you
Lol you want us to download it and put it on your phone too?
Try this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1283682
Its Derek's 3.5 Runnymede based sense ROM. Sense handles MMS the best (IMO).
There is a link in that thread somewhere for a small mms fix. Happy hunting for that one.

Virtuous Unity 2.39
But here's what you do:
1. Ensure you have the latest Gingerbread radio
2. Do a full wipe and install Virtuous Unity
2. Download Root Explorer
3. Download GO Launcher EX
4. Set Go Launcher as the default launcher
5. Using Root Explorer, remove all Sense, widgets, themes, and other bloat you don't need from /data/app AND /system/app.
You will now have the fastest, and most stable ROM available.
I second both those 2 answers but since you tried CM7, you could now try some sense ROMs like Darkside 4 or Unity, then perhaps MiUI.
Currently running CM7.2 and liking it. Love Darkside Sense too. VUnity and Affinity are good as well, for starters ...Liked MIUI too ...
I might suggest another way to clean up for Sense ROMs is to use ROMCleaner, which is handy ...
For all your linking needs.

Out of curiosity, what changed between 7.1.1 and Nightly 252 that makes all that much difference?

I used to use CM7 but then I upgraded to Creamed Glacier. It does have alot of bugs but i suggest you keep an eye on it You say CM7 doesnt work? Try a Nightly Build

I've been running VU for months and have exceptional battery life. Can easily get through an entire day without needing to recharge.
Alternatively, if you just want to remove all sense components, give this a try:

Darkside
I flashed darkside sense 4 for a weeks now and am happy with the performance, plus all of the additions on top of sense and stock android
I second that about creamed glacier. Keep an eye on it, it keeps getting better fast. I'm using v7 right now

I've been looking for something like this for a long time!
THANKS!
is ICS good enough to be a daily driver though? Other than the camera problems, are there random reboots or music playback problems? I have ICS on my Samsung Vibrant and am thinking about jumping ship to the mytouch/panache for the extra 256mb of RAM...
worth it?
edit: meant to be a reply to post #13... dunno how to quote a post after the fact
Wait a few days here, there is a giant update coming out soon with the camera working and various bug fixes. But I get relatively few crashes. Some of which I'm sure are because of my beta nova launcher.

I'll post back here when the next update is released, but you can keep an eye on it.

Ok, if you flash a rom then there's no need to have the file in the sdcard...it is already in your phone memory..It's like asking if you have to keep the office 2010 CD after installing it in your PC. Not at all.
Tweaks? what kinda of tweaks are u looking for? custom roms usually contain tweaks and in my opinion the Coredroid tweaks are the best u can find in a Sense Rom..
CM based roms or AOSP roms have also many tweaks...it just depends on what u like. Nobodoy can tell u what to choose. There's no best or better rom,...you have to decide for yourself. Try then all and make your selection...:good:
Well first I say this research trust me it will help but to some it up no you don't.
But I say this once you flash a Rom do I backup just in case and you can delete it off the SD card
And another tweak if the Rom has any then it will be posted but go through the threads and see but what kind of things are u looking for but before you answer all Rom are different. For everyone
Hhaha other member beat me to it lol

Blue sense? No thank you..

I just got my one s, rooted, and rom'd with viper 2.0.. I'm very disappointed with HTC since they put all this blue into sense.. imo it kills the whole look and feel of sense.. does anyone know of a theme that gives me the SAME look as sense 4.1?
If not who would be interested in seeing one?
