[THEME][CM6.1] Crimson Frost - Updated 12-31

Crimson Frost for CM 6.1​
As requested by a couple guys in the Incredible community, this is a port of my Crimson Frost theme from my Evo.
NOTICE: I do not have an Incredible, so please post any issues you have and try to include a screenshot of whatever I broke.
Don't forget, Nandroid is your friend.

For some reason only certain elements worked. The status bar is red, but the lockscreen sliders are not. I was running frost and it seems some of the new elements didn't overwrite the other theme that was already installed.

The clock in the taskbar being red would be in the services.jar. if that file isn't in the theme you will keep the color you had

Well you guys did better than me; mine wouldn't even BOOT. I flashed CM 6.1 in CWM and then immediately put the theme over it, not sure if that had anything to do with it or not...also, does the data fix work? I stayed up until 3 this morning trying to get 6.1 to boot AND restore my apps (3rd time through it booted, but I didn't have the GApps package so I had to go BACK to MIUI, download the GApps, then reflash). Frustrating night.

You really want to let the rom boot before you flash anything

That's really odd. Try wiping and reflashing.
As far as the clock in the statusbar, does CM for the Incredible have the options to change those colors? I didn't bother changing any of that in the theme since you can change the clock/date stuff in the status bar in CM settings on the Evo.

Try this: Wipe, flash CM, let your phone boot and sync, then go back into recovery and flash the theme.

Exact same thing here. This is coming from a full wipe and clean install of CM. I'm really eager to get this to work!

UPDATE:
- Fixed the issues of some parts of the theme refusing to apply themselves.

CyanogenMod settings - Input settings - Check "Phone and Messaging". And you can also set your messaging tab application. If you use a third party messaging app like Handcent.

Ok, in case anyone else wants to know...does NOT work with synergy. Tried it. Winter go past Evo 4g screen. Tried wiping cache and dalvik before, then also after.
I Dont get it. This guys themes look awesome, but every thread he has has some screenshots, then no replies whatsoever. Unless i missed something. Wish it'd work.

And just cause no one posts in the thread here doesn't mean they don't on Miks site......his threads look pretty full to me over there......Myn and Mik roms are completely differ.....this guy makes a sick theme......and I bet u haven't even tried mik Gsense......10x better than Synergy......dood try Miks 1.xx.......you'll love it man.....EVERYTHING WORKS......ill get some SS for ya......brb......

Any possibility of porting to Synergy? I tried, and everything looks great, but no Notification bar. Tried flashing again, hot booting, clearing cache/dalvik, asking nicely, then yelling at it, but no dice...

Works just fine for me on 1.04. I only have one question - Whats up with all the themes having this itty biitty font when we have a 4in+ screen? is there any way for me to increase the font size (I dont want to use adw ex).

I did a bold move and am using this on [KingsROM][Alliance ROM] [r6.3] [w/Sense 3.0 Rosie it removes the 3d effect oh well. Of course i did a backup but for now it is good.

CM7 Theme Chooser Themes

So, I'm making a thread just to tell you guys about this awesome theme I found somewhere around the forums called WizMod. Download it right away. It has very nice icons to it, and (my favorite) colored Settings icons.

Why dont you give a link? Ive also searched around, the one under android section doesnt work. And the colored nightlies needs to be updated, otherwise I would use that. I dont know where to get to many themes that go with CM7 since its updated so often also.

Theme I recommend is Mixer.

Reboot your phone.
It happened to me too, but rebooting cured the issue for me.

I LOVE "Captivated".
It is bright and colorful and has a stock battery % (unlike Mixer last I checked).
"Captivated" is a very well done theme and was just updated the other day to provide some more awesome goodness. I think I got it in the Market for 99 but it is well worth it + Dev Love.

No I don't think so.
The Theme Engine can be built into any rom, but I don't think they include the Themes. If they did, you'd have a "Themes" app with several default selections.
The Theme App is a hot-swappable theme selector. No restarts required. You can download most themes from the market or install them manually from an APK like the OP posted.
It is one of the reasons why I'm addicted to CM7... that plus the customizable drop down data toggles.

I'm running 56, though by now they're up to 58. The only problems are very, very minor. Cyanogenmod is the best ROM available if you're looking for breadth of features.

Wifi doesn't work for me on cm7, up to build 58. I'd like to use this on ultimate rom. I still don't think theirs a link for the mod to rebuild for different roms

But battery life? How is that

Also, there's a useful tool called notification restart (on the market) that will restart your notification bar. So if you install a new theme, the power notification menu disappears until reboot. However, if you choose your theme, then use the app, you won't have to reboot when choosing themes.

Hi, I use the captivated theme free on my g2x with Eagleblood using EB 2.3.4 v1.5 and it work fine.
as a matter of fact I type CM7 theme in the market and able to use most of them...Hope that help

I use xboarders stock gb/ cm7 remix. Its the stock gb leak with all the cm7 fun stuff. All the themes work for me and thee cm7 setting are awesome

I'm working on a theme of my own atm, though it will probably never get finished. Damn .9.png files...

I'm actually really glad he dug up this thread. I've been trying out captivated for most of the day and LOVE it! I like the color Touchwiz brought to my SGS4g and Vibrant and I'm glad I can get some of it back.

Its pretty sweet. Quick question i did a different ics theme on go launcher and it changed the wallpaper. I want the lightening wallpaper back. I looked through the zip files. Is it in there i didnt see it.

Yep, There is an ICS.apk file that is the go launcher theme. If you change the theme back to the go launcher Default Theme, Then reboot and go back into go launcher settings/theme and apply my theme you should get the wallpapers back. If not let me know and I can send you a zip with the images.
Also, Thanks TheKucho I wish I had more time to work on it but then I would never get work done. There are a few things I would change but overall I think it came out pretty well...
Now I am going to start a new theme...
Any Ideas, feel free to throw them my way...

Hey Racing -- nice theme. Some aspects are a nice improvements over your previous ICS theme, but I have a few questions / comments:
- Can you offer an alternate version without the women on the pull-down menu?
- How can I change the transition when launching Gmail? The side-ways slide effect is a bit unusual and different from launching other apps.
- When opening a contact, some labels appear to be missing or just black. I'm not sure how it looked before, but for example the icons that indicate which accounts have been linked to a contact (i.e. facebook, google) they are just sort of surrounded by black. Also, the "Message" button has no frame around it anymore. EDIT: Having reverted to my ROM backup, I can confirm that all section labels in the contact info screen, i.e. "Phone", "Email", "Joined Contacts" etc. are missing in your theme -- they appear to be black text on black background.
- EDIT: One more -- the History tab of the dialer is also missing the labels for the different dates -- it's just black on black and therefore invisible
- EDIT2: And another one -- the Gmail new mail notification icon is yellow again, not blue, like it was in your ICS theme

If you are on Valhalla final it is already installed. People seemed to be having trouble with CWM5 but I have verified and this works fine on the new kernel....

That's cool I've got black over final.. I thought i should just reload final then flash this over that...

For some reason, FTL is really lagging. For the next release, I'll be switching over to stock Gingerbread launcher. It behaves so much better and it does keep with the Nexus pure Google experience.

EDIT: Done. Everything runs smoother now. I am not going to use LauncherPro or ADW because I'm going for the Nexus feel here, guys.

Just installed, seems smoother than other ROMs I've used.
Really digging the old school look.
Also looking forward to future updates!
(When I hit Menu, there's nothing between the 'Search' and 'Settings' buttons, that's the only thing that looks a lil' off. Messenger could go without that pink like your other build.)

Thanks! I wanted the old school look. No fancy stuff....pure Google 2.3, y'know? And I love ay0teddy's Gingerclone.
I'll switch to green in the next update. That pink stuff is disgusting, I know...lol.

I managed to remove the pink from the messaging app. Now, it has that Gingerbread look to it. Uploading now.
As far as the empty space, that has more to do with how the dev of the app made it. Sorry.

I noticed that I did not remove the pink in Messaging completely. In landscape mode, that pink line is there....I'll take care of that.

Ehhh I just use them all I switch between roms trying to help ric out with anything messed up
Since rubix was just about finished I've been using his roms I think I may come back to this rom soon
I would really like to see green status bar items idk why I just like them being light green they look nicer
Or even better flashable .zip that would change the status bar items colors using the lockscreen method replacing one of the tabs in display an allowing to choose from different colors would be amazing

If you really want it, and I mean really want it ill get you a green flashable, it will for the most part be dependent on one specific rom
So choose one and ill make it happen

Really I just need the wifi and the signal
Not just the bars tho it needs the signals for what its running off 4g high speed a all of that an truly I think it would look good on this rom
The reason I ask for a flashable tho is because the flashable zips work on every rom so not only would I get it for the rom I am using but everyone else would get it as well idk I might try to make something but won't be for awhile as my computer acts up a lot now

Well changing theatre status bar is part of the systemui.apk and my assumption OK s that even though many ROMs for this are the same base it would change other parts of the ROM. So yes the way the ROMs on this phone are all similar in this aspect I could get you a flashable .zip that would flash in any ROM and would change whatever icons in the status bar to green you want but when flashed from a different ROM it may change other aspects of the ui, but it would work.
I'll ask a friend and see if he knows of another way but as far as I know you couldnt simply flash a color to am icon in the status bar without overwriting the systemui.apk

How that chages just the .png files

Well it would need to be green tho
An I usually use rom toolbox an change them to the big numbers and a small bar underneath
But any would do what ever you find that completes the theme would work
