Sorry if this has been asked before, but the info i have found so far has been unsatisfactory. in the power usage app there is an entry "android os" which doesnt detail what it is...it uses quite a bit of my battery and I'd like to know what it is and how to fix it
Is it the same one that says android system in this screen shot? If you click on it it tells you what is included there.

If you update ota you lose root. The radio and rom updates are posted in development section. Flash radio through hbot and rom through cwr.

Guess it won't work anyways, and I wasn't trying to update it was pushed to my phone and just started downloading.

If you're running a rooted STOCK ROM then you will still get the pushed update.

There's an inverted mms with auto split and a blue icon in the themes and apps section. Just download it and flash from recovery.

Did you try with reboot? Did you get this wakelock after that? How you can see this is Google service, did you try to "clean data" of this app?
Simple questions that will help us.

Still getting wakelock. I already tried rebooting it, the phone is still fresh from flashing. I've read in the internet that recently this is caused by google services

You need to do a factory reset in the stock recovery. It's not an uncommon problem

I'm confused as to how you missed it. It's definitely apart of Kit Kat.

Only the top notification is expanded by default. That 'top' notification is being used by your toggles.
Just hold you in call notification and pull down. It should show the hangup button.
