i just installed pdanet and tried bluetooth dun and it's not working either.
The Bluetooth option for touchpad is probaly the problem... I have to select from a dropdown menu:
Audio
webOS phone
keyboard
Other
i tried webOS phone and Other, but it didn't discover it.

Any way we could get mobile ap tethering to work. The native tethering app kinda sucks. It keeps dropping connections. Running the leaked ginger

have you tried this one?

It worked for my MT3G Slide in the past even though it wasn't listed as one of the devices.

Just search market for "Android Tether" ... Its nice, and free, and ive been using with previous phones - works like a charm.
Thanx for the suggestion guys but it didn't work. I use mobile ap to connect my xbox and it would work wonderfully. Tried wireless tether but no luck

If you are rooted they all have wireless tethering except for Sense 3.5 and if not just put in wireless tether in the market and sit back and choose

Same here, ive been using it for a while now and never had any problems.
wireless app works for my ipad or any other device. I just can not get to tether to another android phone, it used to work no problem. The phone will not even recgonize the wireless network. Right now i have a samsung droid charge and tmobile g2x. I have also tried with a samsung vibrant. no combination works. But they will work with ipad and laptop. sometimes one phone might not have good service, so I would like to use wireless in them situations. Thanks
So my mobile ap wireless tethering doesn't really work, it never fully connects, do you guys use other tethering apps to do this or is there a universal fix? I tried searching, didn't really find anything for the sk4g.

Mine's always worked great. Never given me any problems. And I'm not even on the t-mobile network.
I get the error sometimes, but I switched to barnacle tether

Do you mean without bluetooth being on in the first place? Have you tried Tec-tiles? They're supposed to be able to do this I believe. In the car I use Car Home Ultra and have it automatically start and connect bluetooth when the phone is plugged into my Infuse car dock.
Well, I found a temporary "fix" that gives you other bonus goodies. Flash the new toggle mod in development. I did, and now it auto connects my BT in my car.
Not sure how or why

I'm just now starting to play with tasker and a couple other profiling apps.I can get them to all turn on my Bluetooth and with no autoconnect. OR when I just turn on my Bluetooth manually. I'll immediately get a pop up showing there is an available bt device. But no autoconnect. It's already paired. I just have to connect it. I just use a bt speaker -not in any of my vehicles.I've tried two different auto connect app's no luck.

Search for dlna. Your phone will need to act as a dlna server. The ps3 will be able to find it and stream from it.

Thank you for the fast response... I searched the play store and found an app called dlna server ..now its running on the phone but the ps3 doesn't seem to see it..do you know what the settings on both ends need to be?

Make sure your phone is on the same WiFi network as the ps3 and try to disable any computer firewall while you get it running.

I'm sorry im wondering if there's a way to connect the two without the use of a router or computer just phone to ps3 nothing else... Again sorry for the confusion

Edon82, unless you connect them in the same network, you won't be able to stream.
It does not do Bluetooth streaming

Any reason why no router? You could try tethering the PS3 to your phone then running the DNLA server.
