I'm very excited and just wanted to let everyone know that I am working on a rom. At present, the rom is unnamed. I have a name I kinda like in my head... but by all means please post name suggestions throughout this thread. I only have one stipulation on the name. It MUST in some form or fashion represent "community." That is all.

What about your own Vibrant rom Asgard 3.2, Whitehawkx? That's packed so full of bells and whistles the phone vibrates even when it's asleep! Lots of lockscreens and icons too. They don't call that "gingerbread" for nothing! I know there was some reason that rom can't be posted on xda but as a source of stuff.
Asgard was my favorite rom before I broke my Vibrant.

We have just released our theme in the android market for the Cyanogenmod theme chooser!
There is a donate version and a free version, they are both exactly the same with around 50 themed icons but we would really appreciate it if you could download the donate version for $1.99 and help support us. I just updated the whole website and now it looks really good. I set up a contact form on the last page and just fill that out if you would like to send a port request. If we get enough requests for certain roms we'll make a port

Sounds like a good suggestion to me. CM7 official is about to be released. I saw something about notification text might be optional to change in CMsettings. We shall see. If not I will ask the team what they think! Thanks!

i appoligize if alot of my roms use some of the same effects it just takes alot of time to Gimp image these things so i have a set of my personal stock that i use saves me time just the way i used to do it it would take me days just to do icons alone......for stuff most people rip out anyways or change up.... i give u all a base its up to u what you do with it after...

No worries. You will find many peoples ready to pounce when you do wrong. Some will do it lovingly, pointing you in the right direction....maybe even answering your question in the process. Most will publicly flog you and offer no help other than telling you you are wrong. It's just how it works around here.
My advice...don't be afraid to ask questions...just work on posting in the right forums. The q&a is a good place to start. Develop a thick skin. And lastly, no need to apologize for wanting help...just use the search function (which does not always find what you are looking for), look in the proper forums, and read read read.
ZEUS is a great ROM, you can view the themes thread,it may help.

Launcher should not be an issue. If you want one that's small and quick, use Zeam. I use Go Launcher Ex and have no lag issues.

Using SwiftKey X to type this. It might be faster if I could get used to it, but I do enjoy the Swype-like keyboards. This feels too much like cheating, which means it must be pretty good. Ok, I'm getting to good at it already,. Time to quit.

Daniel has done a lot for this phone. Probably most famous for his Adrenaline Shot tweaks, scrolling tweak and Sony bravia engin pictures mod port.
Not to mention ICBINB ROM...
All of them were for GB ROMs not too long ago. He's also a respectable Team Acid member.
FB - maybe we need to add dev biographies to our wiki...
