AUO Screen Ghosting/Flickering, Software Fix? - HTC Sensation

Some of you that have a Sensation with an AUO (Acer) screen are familiar with the ghosting and the flickering which occurs, it's especially noticeable if you've had a Sharp screen. Question is, do you think that this is something which can be fixed with a software update, or is it simply a hardware issue? I'm on my third Sensation due to various problems and don't really want to do another warranty exchange if there may be a possible software fix, however, the ghosting/flickering is really starting to annoy me. Thanks.

Anyone have any insight into this?

Well, this is a hardware problem. You can try to avoid white text on black background if you want it to be less noticeable. But there is no real fix

My screen lags but is most likely due to the new rom. Side note: has anyone had responsiveness issues when using a soft case. Seems like my screen registered the case on the edges and fights me for control.
i have a tmobile sensation .. debranded, i never had really big problems with the touchscreen, even when i had, i opened Task Manager (stock) and closed all programs, then the screen was ok.
Never had any of these touchscreen problems that people talk about.
After the update, the task manager says the music program is open. I have a music widget but that's all. If I even look at the widget, the task manager says that the phone has music program open.
I have touchscreen problems too after the update. I have to touch things 3 or 4 times for it to work.

Red tint on the sensation

My friend compared maps on his nexus s against my sensation, and I noticed something I hadn't seen before, the amount of red in our background. I know there is a rgb colour fix for Samsung phones, and I was wondering if somebody could work with ours to figure put and correct the problem. Anyone able to actually do this?

You can't really compare 2 different devices that have different hardware. BUT when I got my wife's sensation and put it next to mine I did notice that hers had a orange/yellow tinge to it.
there has been a lot of discussion on that. i also hav a red/orange tint at several angles. from what i have read the sensation screens are built by 2 or 3 different compsnies and i believe the sharp screen is the only one (whhich the tmob stores use as displays) that stays white at any angle. no display fix that i know of but there is a siscussion in general that talks about this issue and tells u how to check which screen u have. several have exchanged theirs. i have the aus or something like that http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1131592
check this out app called screen adjuster on post 1243 read around a little supposed to only change blue so read up lol hope this helps u nik http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1131592&page=125
If the screen have some tint when looking straight, try using SCREEN ADJUSTER from market.

Do you use it? what do you recommend the blue/green settings to be at?
Yes. I have USED before.
Basically it depends on your screen. Not all screens the same. I use to keep green3 & blue3 in stock ROM.
just try to adjust with some white background......

HTC Sensation has any unfixable hardware issues?

Hello everybody
I have always been a fan of HTC cinematic Sense UI.
So was thinking to jumpship from LG G2X to HTC SENSATION.
As HTC promised that it would port ics to sensation.
But isn't the Wi-Fi deathgrip issue and Touch screen issue fixed yet?
Are there any other hardware issues ?
Is it safe to buy a used one off eBay ?

I have never had WiFi "deathgrip" or touch screen issues on my sensation
Me too, never had either of those issues or any other hardware issue.

i only get bad wifi when i put the phone in landscape for some reason, it might be software related
What Rom will advise?
As far as I know the dust under the screen issue is unfixable.

I heard that there can be a wifi problem if you use extended battery with backcover that does not let WiFi signal pass through. I know that Mugen Power had to fix this and released a new cover.
"NEWS: New HTC Sensation 3600mAh battery back cover was designed to improve WiFi signal. If you're experiencing difficulties with WiFi on HTC Sensation with 3600mAh, please contact our support and ask for replacement."
But that is it so far...
The dust under the screen is 'unfixable' while the WiFi death grip only occurs on the top right end, but doesn't really affect day to day use
Isn't anybody experiencing the following issue or has it been fixed already ?

I had stock ROM on my Sensation just couple of days, but i had no Touchscreen Issues, on custom Rom (COREDROID) also no problem at all. I'm sure it's early (article date is 03 August 2011) stock ROM related problem.
Nobody given hints to me about sensation speaker problem.
Now I am suffering badly.
I think everybody got accustomed to the problem.
