Hi i need to somewhow calibrate my new battery
I have an app called "battery doctor" and it says that my fully charged stock battery has 350hours standby. sounds good.
The same app says that my 2400mah battery has 350hours standby. so it seems that the phone or at least the app has not realised the increase in capacity.
any apps that can support this new battery? I tried the battery calibration thing:
1: charge phone when on,
2: turn off phone and charge again (but after like a few seconds the led goes green)
3: turn of phone, then after 2 mins, turn off phone
4: charge off again (led is only on for a few seconds before turning green again)
where have i gone wrong?
anybody?
You can reset the phones battery knowledge by removing the batterystats file at /data/system/batterystats.bin
So do your calibration thing, and delete the file.
i have already deleted the app...
Can anyone confirm that if i delete the "Said File" /data/system/batterystats.bin ,
the phone will be recallibrated and boot up?
im afraid of boot loops
i can confirm this for the galaxy s on 2.2.1
Hello all,
I hope i am posting in the right place, if not please move my post to the right place.
I have update to bada 2.0 using the firmware from hero355 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2131676
And after the update i have some small problem.
Bada 2.0 introduced the percent battery status option, but this does not work well on my phone Samsung GT7230-E.
After i fully charged the battery i see the message "Battery fully Charge ... " but the percent shows 0% and i must power off and power on the phone for it to work.
After the phone reboot i see the battery status to 60%, but this percent status stays like this until the phone is out of power.
Even if i have only 4% of battery, the battery status shows 60% forever until suddenly the phone auto poweroff as there is no power left in battery.
The phone stays ok couple of days like this so this is not a battery problem
This happens even if i disable percent option in battery status, is the same with the battery grid status as well.
Second problem is the sound is not so loud like in bada 2.0 and i dont see an option to make it louder.
Also in sound profile there is no option to change the vibration to sound more seconds.
I want an option if i select "vibrate then sound" for the vibration to be more then 1 second.
Right know the vibration takes only 1 second and right after it the sound alarm goes on.
If something else is needed to debug this let me know.
Thanks,
Hi, I have rooted my Galaxy Chat B5330L, and afted that the battery drain quickly... as an example, yestarday at night I charged to a 100%, then I put in airplane mode and got to sleep, I wake up after 4.5 hours (6.30am) and it has 93% (in airplane mode). Then I turned on the signal as usually, and without using the phone I got 80% (9am) in one hour. Now its 11.46am it's in 65%.
By now in the menu Battery (settings - battery) I got SO android 43%, Screen 19%... etc.
One thing that I don't underestand is that in the same menu, my phone have "SO android" (43%) and "Sistema Android" 7% ¿?
I've also tried to do this ...//gs3.wonderhowto.com/how-to/reduce-battery-drain-your-samsung-galaxy-s3-by-fixing-android-system-usage-0142361/
that is rename a file with a root explorer, but I don't have "gsiff_daemon" file... I have "dbus-deamon", but I don't know if it has the same purpouse.
Soory for my English.
Thank you very much and have a good day.
Omar.
About two months ago my old battery stopped working well and always turned off before reaching 0% so I bought a new battery off amazon and replaced it. Everything was fine. The battery lasted easily for a day and I didn't notice any problems. But yesterday my phone suddenly shut down. But it wasn't like with the old battery where the display just went black. Instead it showed the usual shutting down "notification" as if I turned it off automatically. When I plugged in the charger I noticed that the phone did show the lightning charging sign but was always stuck at 0%. That's why I assume that this problem is software related. Also when I am in the recovery I can unplug it and it won't turn off. Of course I already tried quite some things.
At first I cleared the cache partition - didn't work.
Then I downgraded from Android M preview to Android 5.1.1 using the flash-all.sh - installation did work but still won't charge or show that it is being charged.
Then I installed TWRP and wiped everything possible for several times and then used adb push command to move the latest cyanogenmod nightly to the phone and installed it - still won't show any change in battery level.
Do you have an idea what might be the problem and a possible solution?
Thanks in advance.
Have you tried another battery?
hello i have a problem
