Synergy Beta - HTC Sensation

Forum for the beta testers.
Everyone let's use Antutu for benching marking purposes.
Thanks.

I've set equal performance battery/performance for now. A bit snappier than default user config, too early to report battery life. BTW, GPS works fine.

I am using that same setting as well. However, I adjusted eMMC to 1024 and SDCard to 2048 for the ReadAhead Values.
By doing this, I gained a 600pt increase on the Antutu Benchmark.

Ok,let's all stick to Antutu for testing purposes. Might want to edit OP.
4355 ANTUTU score.

Located in the same place? What time do you anticipate it being up?

Good to hear, I'm still on beta 1 and finding it very stable as a beta version! That new status bar looks awesome tho.

What tweaks has everyone done in the Dconfig, and how is the performance with them?
I have changed Equal/Battery, Dalvik to 60, eMMC 1024, and SDCard 2048 (ReadAhead values).

All I done was change profile to equal performance and battery, haven't seen much of a difference, tad faster

Same as above but changed heap size to 48mb.
Request. Damo, is it possible to make that carousel after unlock to spin faster? To me it feels like I have to wait before I can use home screens.

It doesn't need to be put there because it isn't an issue.
What do you expect to use as a launcher is Rosie is banned and you don't have anything else installed

Port rom

How do i port a rom? N i looked n looked n noting useful. Thanks
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
First off. You need good grammar and spelling, no more of the abbreviating stuff. Second off there is no sure fire way to "port a Rom" you will have to go to chef central on here and read for hours then compile your own cm7 build. Once you can do that you can work off that.

There is a couple stickies in android chef central that you can take a look through to get yourself familiarized with whats necessary to get started. I would definatly recommend setting up android kitchen on ubuntu if its possible for ya.

lol the DHD and Desire Z?
well first and most noticeable is that the Desire Z (Tmobile G2) has a hardware keyboard. the next thing, is that the screen is wayyy smaller than that of the DHD. then there are the more inner things. the Desire Z has a 800 MHz CPU, while DHD sports a 1 GHz (like us). and also, the Desire Z has very little RAM, can't remember off the top of my head, but it's a lot less than the DHD or the MT4G.
but while the devices are different, it's still mildly easy to port a Desire Z ROM to the MT4G...

Mildly? The first ROM i ever ported was a MexdroidMod version using DSIXDA's Kitchen. It took like 20 minutes. I had an issue with the keyboard and dropped a gingerbread keyboard apk in to fix it. That was the ONLY issue I ran into.
I call that mega easy.

[TWEAK]Turbo Boost Ram

Do you want a more effective ram setup? No not ramdisk but the actually ram.
This will only work with init.d enabled ROMs.
I was searching for some things and I overcame some stuff related to ram.
http://db.tt/WIEVyBFD
Download it and push to /system/etc/init.d/
See it on action here plus a preview of the almost done BricKBeaTZ ROM.
Sent from my One X using Tapatalk 2
Oo interesting. There any easy way to check whether init.d is supported in the ROM I use? (Do I just check to see if I have the file init.d?) I tend to switch ROMs a lot.

This is overclocking the RAMs speed. Its more effective than cpu because the speed of ram is much faster than our CPU. It also uses less energy for consumption. Overall, again it's perfect.

how about battery? heat? sounds like this will make it run hotter and decrease battery life for a minimal gain.

See for your self. It wouldn't make hotter rather the opposite since it will reduce CPU consumption due to its clock rate.
