i just encountered a wierd issue that i never had before i cant open files in the filemanager
when i tap a file i want to open the screen gets darker like it is displaying the options that will open the files.. but it doesnt show that window with the options.
has anyone encountered it and know a fix ....?
turn your tablet from landscape to portrait and try again, its a glitch in a few programmes, especially after a reboot.
One of the bugs the 3.2 update caused.
It has been discussed a lot. Do as told (rotate to portrait and back to landscape) after every reboot.
The update that is about to be sent to everybody will fix it.

Since 3.2 (I use Prime 1.7) I have a problem - selecting a browser to view an item in RSS applications (tested in Newsr and gReader) doesn't work. The screen dims a little like it does when showing a dialog with browser selection but there is no dialog.
Wiping cache solved it for a minute or so. Then it was not working again.
Does anyone have such problem or is it only me?
Make sure that you have Auto-Rotate Screen on. When you're in that situation again just rotate the screen and then back and the popup will appear. It's a known bug in 3.2. Hopefully they fix it in the next update because it's really annoying.

Weird problem occured today. Any of the videos I have on gallery wont play anymore. When I click the preview image from the video screen just darkens a little bit and then nothing happens?!! When I touch the screen the second time it lightens up again?!
It used to work before. Couple days ago I watched few videos throught gallery which I recorded with HTC desire. When I pressed the preview image a pop up window showed up which asked which player I want to use, either the stock player or MX video player that I also have installed. And it worked just fine no matter which one I used.
Now there is no pop up anymore, it just darkens. And yes Iam trying to watch the same videos which worked before. Even if I record a video with the TF's own camera it wont play it when I try to open it up either from gallery or from file manager.
If I open the MX video player and launch the video throught there it works, but why it doesnt launch it from anywhere else?
Any help is appreciated!
Edit: Stock 3.2 android, so its not rooted.
Forgive me if this is a dumb question...have you tried to restart it? When mine does that I end up having to restart to get things working again. If you have tried that then Im not sure...

Yes I have restarted it.
Man this is getting even more weird. I received email about your reply and when I tryed to press the link from Gmail app which would direct me to this thread screen just darkened again just like with the video. No pop up asking which browser I want to use, it just darkens and lights up when I press the screen again?!?
One other option is this...try rotating the screen and see if the menu pops up for you.
If you have installed any 3rd party browsers, try uninstalling them and see if this resolves your issue. Let me know so I can keep looking for ya if not!

Heh, I think I got it solved now. I unmounted TF from the dock in order to try that screen rotation and decided to see if the email thing works. And it did, so does the videos now! I hooked up it on the dock again and everything seems to be working again.
I didnt even rotate the screen, seems like just unmounting and mounting it on the dock did the trick. Thanks.
No prob man, I noticed when I searched google it was a problem in general with the 3.2 update on a few devices. Glad you got it fixed!
I'm using the latest stock rom and am perplexed. My wallpaper displays strangely in landscape mode. I see 75% of it and the rest of the screen is black.

All apps display properly, the portrait mode looks fine. The lock screen is affected in the same way.
In the wallpaper selection sizing screen an odd size frame is active. The inactive sizing frames that show 'under' are the correct ones I think.

Anyone have any ideas on how to return the display sizing to normal (without a "nuke & pave")?
All apps display properly and no problem in portrait mode.

After watching a couple of videos the problem has sorted itself out.
Strange, the video app (MX Video Player) must have tickled it back somehow.
Go figure.

OK, still have the problem, after a reboot. It's the YouTube app that fixes it.
Go figure.
My work-around is to use the Asus 'My Wallpaper' Live Wallpaper and set it to one picture/static.
(I really don't want to nuke & pave and am hoping the next update will fix it for good)
Ive had same problem.
Its caused by appkiller or startup manager.
One system app should not be stoped, dont know wich one.

Yesterday when i watched a video and put it to full screen it would automatically go into landscape (my device is always locked portrait)
but today, for some inexplicable reason when i full screen the video it stays in landscape and looks like trash
how can i get it to automatically go into landscape when i press full screen? (don't wanna lock landscape as i always read comments.. annoying stuff)
You could try to reset the app itself. This works by opening your app drawer, click&hold the YouTube app, pull it up to "app-info" and release it. Then clear its data and cache.
If you open the app now it will be like the first launch and hopefully the bug is solved
I have a NeXBox A95X and for some things it works really well, like Plex.
However other apps seem to default to, for want of a better word, a touch screen configuration.
For example iPlayer will not let me navigate with the cursor keys and I have to switch to mouse mode from the remote that came with it.
Also Google Play will not let me navigate properly using the cursor keys either.
I've looked for settings that set it into a different mode but cannot find any. Does anyone have an idea if there is anything I can do?

I am currently using an EM95X Android Box with a Viewsonic touch screen. The touch screen has been working perfect with the box. My issue is with the rotation ability. Anytime I force the screen into portrait mode the system UI crashes. Unfortunately, I need the monitor view to be vertical. I cannot figure out how to stop it from crashing. I have tried several rotation apps with the same results.
I have went into the build prop to view the rotation texts and the only thing I have found is this:
"Persist.sys.app.rotation=middle_port"
I thought I might be able to find somewhere I can change the rotation, but I have not.
Any suggestions?
