I have an o2 xda orbit 2 with a problem that is screen is totaly white but i can hear the phone ring and also it vibrates.
Things i have tried
soft reset - no change
hard reset - no change
reflashed it - no change
put it in the freezer for 5 mins it worked for about 10 mins
any ideas?

This has happened to me two times. What happens is that my Prophet suddenly just vibrates non-stop even without a notification. It keeps vibrating even if i change the alarm to mute or sound.
So what I do is I soft reset the phone. Then it never starts up anymore
It is just stuck in the Windows Mobile splash screen and only a hard reset fixes it..
btw, this has happened within a span of less than 2 weeks.
I have the same issue after upgrade to WM6. 2 times already. I can use soft reset to stop it. Would be good if someone can help.

i have htc touch(gsm) upgraded to 6.1 sometimes it get stuck when an incoming call comes even after soft and hard reset the problm persists any help??

After more than 1 year with no problem, I'm having now the freeze problem during incoming calls on my HTC Touch HD (Blackstone). I have noticed that the phone freezes also when increasing/decreasing the ringer volume. It needs just few minutes to recover from the freeze (or a soft reset). Touch screen freeze, including the 4 fix buttons, but the screen display and the volume and startup buttons work as usual.
I'm using the last HTC EU ROM (April 2009). Soft and hard resets didn't help. I also tried to re-flash the ROM, but still no change, the phone freezes.
Can someone help please?
Please help! 1st time this has happened today. My display has gone off. I soft reset the phone, it loads up the o2 screen, but goes off at the green windows screen. The rest of the phone is ok; flashing green light still ok, ive tried phoning it from another mobile, all ok.The home screen will appear but when i touch the screen it immediatey goes off. Ive a feeling its the windows sofware? I haven't done anything different to the phone at all for this to happen.

I read about screen issues and unlock problems. The one I have is slightly different. During regular work, no matter what I do, the screen shuts off every few seconds (or a little bit longer, not regulary). Buttons on the bottom works and it seems that the touch screen is still active but i can't turn the screen on. Then I have to push the upper button to lock the screen and press it again to unlock it.
I was searching the forums to solve it but I haven't found anything similar to my problem.
Soft is updated to 2.3.4 and it didn't help

You haven't set the screen timeout to be kite like 15 second have you?

of course it's not the screen timout. It's set on 45 seconds. The "blackouts" are not regular, sometimes it's after 5 sec, somtimes after 30
any ideas?

Could be an app you installed causing the problem. Hard to say.
I would probably factory reset it, and see if it fixes the problem first.
I bought an HTC shadow 2009 version off of ebay for $8 and it has a black screen issue. I can tell it boots up because although the screen is black, it flashes on and off as if it were changing boot animations, and then once it is booted the green led flashes like it has a text and the charging light is on, also i can get files off of it from my computer. So it shouldnt be a software issue, is what im thinking.. but i replaced the screen that it came with and it is still black. Does this sound like a software issue to anyone? Also when i try to hard reset the phone it goes through the original boot process it doesnt seem like it will allow me to hard reset it.. anyways all the searches i have done so far have suggested hard reset or replace screen. I have tried both and nothing has worked. Anyone have any suggestions?
