hello,
I think I found the place where you stored the code of SimUnlock of sensation.
I need 2 or 3 people with htc sensation simlocked to test this.
(Sorry for my bad english)
Edit:
you must have a root on sensation simlocked, connect it on usb (charger only with debug mode actived) dump your file mmcblk0p4, mmcblk0p6, mmcblk0p16 and post here, thanks.

i think it's pretty understandable what he's saying.. he wants the dump of your mmcblk0p4 posted here.. seriously, was it that hard to understand? obviously once you do that, he will look into the dump file and read the code for the sim unlock.. don't understand why you guys are asking what is it that he's looking for.. it's easier for him to look into the dump file himself rather than let anyone read the codes and get lost with more questions to ask..

That's exactly right.
So I think I have found is correct for some users, I would provide the free solution for all
Sorry for wanting to learn for myself, yeah that's too much to ask. If he would explain, I'd be happy to help. Otherwise I'm not going out of my way to pull files from my phone. That's what I'm saying, information would be a good incentive. I really doubt he's found what he thinks he has.

if I give the method without checking with at least 2 or 3 people and it does not work for everyone, it might cause problems for people who will try to read everything without fully before starting.
Wouldn't that be their own fault?

Yes but the Blame/Flame Game will start and it wouldnt be the OP's fault at all.Why not help him out then he can share the info once he is positive about it and do a complete tutorial. The whole idea of this community is to help eachother out! If mnie was simlocked i would post the file right away,Im not a selfish git like some seem to be! Give the guy some credit he is using his own time to figure out how to unlock your phone for YOU

Hello,
I got the dump of four people, unfortunately on four people none of the dump does not allowed (for now) to leave something concrete and valid.
Against, this allowed me to see that depending on the version of such, this "flaw" is not present at the same place or has been fixed.
Let me explain :
Serial number: HT15AV806 ... - TY156V806 ... (As my dump, unlock code is valid and for me confirms that I buy the code on HTCimeiUnlock.com to be sure of what I had found and the site sent me the code I had found with my dump files.)
Serial number: HT15RV802 ... - TY15PV803 ... (tenfar Dump , Xda member, I found the code "full and real"" but he had already cellunlocked of origin.)
Serial number: SH16ST501 ... - KC16JT501 ... (thefsfempire dump, Xda member, code and code location not found at the moment)
Serial number: SH164V803 ... - KC15ZV832 ... (Joao Gomes dump, ? , code and code location not found at the moment)
Serial number: SH169V803 ... - KC164V826 ... (Michel.Raymond dump, Xda member, code and code location not found at the moment)
Serial number: SH176V802 ... - KC173V806 ... (Sazerty dump, Xda member, code and code location not found at the moment)
So I think, following the series there is a possibility "feasible" to find the code more easily than the other ...
I get the new dump I will keep you informed if I find something concrete and valid of my research.
I have 2 Sensations right now. One locked to T-mo, one unlocked by code(it was T-mo locked too).
I can make dumps from both devices...if u still need it
P.S. Week ago I recived 2 other T-mo S4G(both devices was SH) adn unlocked it by changing CID(if it possible o0...), probably them was unlocked by other my action.
I just followed Guide, instaled CWM and changed CID to 11111111...and phones became unlocked. After that I made factory wipe to be 100% shure and them was still unlocked.
Dumps from both(locked SH and unlocked by code TW) attached...Hope it will helpful =)

I picked up a WIND Samsung Galaxy S 4G today. I looked in the Android Dev thread here and I don't see anything specifically for this phone.
The model number is T-959W so I don't want to try anything with hacks/roms etc meant for the T-Mobile version.
I'd be happy to supply a dump of my phone for any devs who want to play around and help us here in the great white north!
Thanks
System dump would be nice if you can provide it. I'd advice against installing any mods you found here. Good thing you're cautious
Great, thanks! I have never done a dump before so I'll have to look into how to do it. I will let you know when I do.

I have heard that there may be an update in August. It may be prudent to wait for this update before capturing a ROM image, in case important fixes are made.
I guess a good question would be whether anyone has had any experience flashing T-Mobile SGH-959v ROMs on to this device.
Another avenue could be to ask someone inside Samsung whether they changed much between models.

Absolutely! I'm currently taking a little break (gotta find a job... like two weeks ago.), but when the dust settles, I'll take a little look at the source and see if we can help out.
What you could start with is a diff between the SGH-T959V-TMB_GB_Opensource.zip and the SGH-T959W_NA_GB_Opensource.zip drops.
I'd be willing to look into giving you guys something fun to work with.
I'll do a series of diffs tonight on the T959W stock kernel source and the T959V sources (stock and our CM kernel).

You really shouldn't flash roms not made for your phone. If they contain bootloaders, you could brick your phone.
Hey T959W people. Looked at the source and things are looking pretty close. I'm not saying to run off and flash our stuff, but I need some info and someone with the big kahunas to try flashing some stuff.
Please be running linux. I can't help you with windows problems.
It would also be helpful if you have a usb download mode jig.
You can get one here:
http://mobiletechvideos.mybigcommerce.com/samsung-galaxy-s-download-mode-jig/
Ok Canadians! I've verified that the SGH-T959W should be exactly the same as the SGH-T959V.
There were some interesting differences between our T959V and T959W that may fix some bugs for us on T959V.
With that said, please... please... please, read all of the instructions for flashing ROMs and Kernels very carefully!
If the rom contains bootloaders, please DO NOT flash them until we can confirm there are no bootloader differences.
Like I said before, it is very common to soft brick your device. It is not the end, and do not worry if you do this. Make sure you get yourself a usb download mode jig here:

This will help you use heimdall or odin to flash stuff to your phone to make everything happy again.
You will only hard brick this device by writing the wrong bootloaders to the phone, which is why I am warning you to not flash bootloaders, for now!
With that, enjoy cm7, cm9, aokp, et alii!
I will also announce this in the android general forum!

I managed to get my Wind SGH-T959W rooted and up and running with a unofficial CM9 build, but it took a bit of work.
Firstly, I tried just about every one-click solution out there, to no avail. It's possible SOC 1.7 with rattlethecage works, but I didn't have the patience to find out whether I simply had to wait a bit longer.
I followed this guide(whilst clenching every clenchable muscle I could consciously control):
http://www.galaxyforums.net/forum/o...mission-t-mobile-galaxy-s-4g-gingerbread.html
The gist is, Odin 1.7, stock+voodoo for T959V, plus some update that I'm not qualified to describe. That should get you rooted and if that's all you're looking for, you'll have to suffer through a little T-Mobile branding on startup.
Once you got it all rooted, you'd think it'd be a good idea to toss sgs-ics on there, right? Well, no. After installing the 4G variant, it promptly set off into a boot loop which I'm again, unqualified to diagnose. The obvious solution was to try another team's version of ICS, which I indeed found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1730954
Barring some missing features, it sounds like a good alternative to sgs-ics. Though I had to go through one additional step, which I really, honestly assure you I was under-qualified to execute. When I tried to load Team Acid's CM9 r3 it gave me an assert on the updater-script, since the hardware didn't match up. Easy. Unzip the package, open up META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script, remove the first check. You know it's the same hardware, you don't need some stinkin' script to tell you it won't work.
So all said and done, I now have a Wind Mobile SGH-T959W running ICS 4.0.4 courtesy of bhundven, the Odin folks, Team Acid, and likely a slew of other contributors.
Thanks folks, and enjoy!
PS, if you want that tarball bhundven, send me a PM with some brief instructions, and hopefully you can help my fellow Winders.

What I am asking is to repair my IMEI
You have a lot of thread dealing with this in XDA
like here
MOD EDIT: removed link
Even if you only want to "restore" the IMEI, that are still instructions to change the IMEI which can be used for illegal activities.
Therefore: Thread closed.
Ok first off, I want to say that yes I have looked at countless threads explaining and asking the same thing, and none of them have been very useful. Maybe that's my fault, maybe it's just want I'm use to in the past. So I want to apologize to people who see my thread and go "Uuugh another retard". I don't want to be a retard or a jerk or anything of the above, but I just feel like nothing in the forums for this phone is as clear or well formulated as the phones I've dealt with in the past on XDA and I don't know why that is. Maybe I just haven't really learned anything from my past experiences
I have the HTC One X (duh) AT&T at software version 1.85, and I'd like to root it and do whatever else I need to do to get to the point of being able to load custom ROMs. My issue is that even after reading several threads, including the ones specifically about rooting version 1.85, I have no idea what to do. I've rooted phones in the past and never had this much trouble understanding instructions, and I think it's just because in the past the guides have always been extremely clear and explicitly stated what I needed, where I got it, how to load it, and how to use it. I've only done a few phones in the past, HTC Inspire, HTC Tilt 2, and an LG model that I've forgotten the name of.
So ok, here is this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1709296 What exactly am I supposed to do here, because to be honest the instructions there are terrible. I read through probably fifteen pages of that thread, and felt like an idiot because no one else needed help even starting. So I started looking around, and I found some other posts asking for help, but everyone had seemed to actually have gotten past the initial point. For me, I can't even properly download the su file because it has no file type and Windows is all **** you buddy give it a file type (I just called it a zip file so I could at least have it downloaded.) I also looked at this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1672284 thread, and I understand what to do here but from my understanding I should be rooted first so that's a problem yes?
So could someone please assist me with a properly designated and clear set of instructions on how to get my phone to the phase where I can do more with it?
I fully understand if no one wishes to help me, or if this exact issue has really come up before. I've been looking for awhile and just haven't had any luck at all. Thank you for your help if you wish to help, and thank you even if you don't. Have a wonderful day.
I rooted mine with by "faking" an ota update.. that is you have to go to att update (go to settings and scroll all the way down) and from the console push some files to the phone via adb and then hit "update" in the phone.. I can't remember the thread though...
Hope that helps...

OP has linked the correct thread for rooting 1.85. The only working method, AFAIK.
I was completely new to the Android universe and also had problems getting started, but it helped when I figured out what ADB was.
http://developer.android.com/tools/help/adb.html
Basically, what you want to do (per the thread you linked to : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1709296)
FIRST - install ADB!
Then :
- pull the SIM card (i didn't do this, but I'm just reiterating the insturctions on that page )
- do a factory reset
- do not connect to the internet after factory reset. Just go into settings and enable USB debugging, and plug the phone into your computer's USB port.
NOW, you can (via USB and the ADB tool which you've researched from my link above) run the commands from that thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1709296). So open up a command prompt (start->run->cmd on a Windows machine) and just type everything you see in the instructions in that thread. Doesn't particularly matter if you don't knwo what each command does as long as you follow them faithfully
I'd be happy to walk you through it. Your on the right track though. It'll have to be later tonight though. Pm me and I can get with you after 9pm mountain standard.

After its downloaded, will Windows let you rename the file so there is no file extension? My Windows XP system will allow it, so if you're on Windows 7, I'm not sure what the fix is.
Also, the root guide assumes you have some knowledge of ADB. As it seems your are pretty lost, I'm assuming you don't. Gunny's guide has some ADB basics (although I've been told even this starter guide is missing a few basics):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1754018
I rooted back on 1.73, so a different method. But I'll try to help as much as I can.
Also, if you haven't already seen my index thread, its got all the resources posted in Development, in an organized list. Your issue right now doesn't seem to be finding the right threads. But you may find it useful once you get unstuck from the root process, at least:

So I'm reading up and doing my best to soak up the information. I found adb and have that downloaded, and I'm reading up on how it works. After looking at it and reading about it I realized that I've actually used it before and had no idea it was the same thing (that was on my older install of windows and when I was messing with my Inspire). I will hopefully later tonight be able to actually go through the process of trying to get all of this done to my phone. I will update once I'm home!

You really need this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1978974 Head on over and post up to FBis251. He'll be able to help you and if it was his app, he'll definitely hook you up with the solution. Good luck!

No, what they really need is to read. We have a bunch of these IMEI threads hanging around. No need to start new ones :/

I tried and looked for it but none of them provided me with enough info of how to do it.
Samsung is telling me to go to their shop and by flashing the stock rom the IMEI will return.
I know it doesnt work like that ....
Thank you man, for helping me.
Ill try that link.
Actually, it does...
Edit: Here is a link to a thread that will allow you to do it yourself, just follow the Odin one click

Well it says nothing about IMEI in that post not even remotely.
Why do you think it will restore my IMEI?
Am i not better with trying : http://rootzwiki.com/topic/32397-tutorial-imei-backup-nv-with-qpst-us-variants/ ?
Thanks

Why are you questioning the people trying to help you?
Look either give it a try or deal with a borked imei.
The reason they are suggesting that is because unless you tried to install a vibrant rom all of the non stock based roms back up your imei and when flashing back to stock it is restored.
Again why are you questioning people offering help?

You will have better luck trying the link I posted :/ It fixed my IMEI about 15 times and I am have sent the link to many others to fix their problems. The link you posted will do you no good for two reasons. First, it is a guide about how to backup your IMEI which you already lost. (can't backup what you don't have) Second, the guide is for the Samsung Galaxy S III. If you do have a SGSIII, then you are in the wrong fourm and my link will screw your device over. If you have a Samsung Galaxy S 4G, then it will flash you back to GB rooted w/ CWM. If you are still secptic about my advice, then don't take it. Hope you enjoy a phone with no service.
Why r u ppl so jumpy?
"Enjoy phone with no service"
"Why r u questioning ppl who are trying to help"
All i try to do is to fix my imei and on the way im trying to understand whats going on.
The link you gave me was for deleting trash from my phone to save battery life (i personally thought that, maybe, you just copy pasted the wrong link), my IQ is well above average, but i guess im missing a connection between batter life trash files on the phone and recovering IMEI.
please enlighten me.
Flashing stock did not help .. and i have always been using the original Tmobile roms... downlaoded from Sampro.pl
Never anything custom.
thank you for your help.

It was the correct link, and it works. What do you have to lose? Absolutely nothing. I will take all the blame if it doesn't work, but in my experience it does work. I have no idea why it works, it just does. I just want you to have a happy working phone. Sadly, I have not been on a "stock" ROM since I joined xda, so I have no idea how to fix your problem and keep you on stock. Out of curiosity, what Android version are you on now?

Well if your main point from that link is to go back to stock (you have mentioned to go part 3, which is just that) then it doesnt work..
Coz i flashed to froyo 2.2.1 and it did not help only thing that changed was that opposed to 00000000/05 i had 000000000/04 ...
I have also wiped the cache
Then i have flashed the GingerBread 2.3.6 kj6.
Nothing changes .. Tmobile doesnt accept phones with "0" IMEI.
im sure its possible to write it in .. just cant find it...
thanks.
Have you actually tried it yet? Anyways, I am sorry about your phone, and I haven't seen a way to write in your IMEI in all of my time on xda.

It might , the problem is that i do not have the hidden menu .. it doesnt exist in SGS4g
I'm assuming changing the IMEI is legal.
NO... You can fix your device though to retain the same IMEI contained behind your battery
