It says the battery has 3500mAh which is more than double of the battery that comes with the phone...
I just wonder if that amount of mAh would be possible

anyone have tried this battery yet?

Wow that back cover (and the battery) must be HUGE! the camera area is recessed below the surface where the stock one comes out.
I'm sure some kind soul will try it and report back here.
Pete

i ordered one from the uk on ebay, should be here around next week, also i ordered the 1900mah battery which is better than the one that comes with the phone

My experience with these extra-large batteries with alternative battery case, is that they last longer than the original battery for a few weeks/months then last much less to the original.. Soon enough wont even charge.. They have a very short life.
I had one for the N95 8gb years ago.. came also with the extra-space back-lid.. sticking with the official mAhs...

most are the same
i have bought many many batteries for my previous mobile phones
all of them had a good capacity for some weeks or little months
after 3 months last less than my original battery
that kind of capacity with that price is too good to be true
so even if you buy this one dont quckly say it is good
just wait for 2 months of use and then have a conclusion
hope it was helpful

I've had mine for over 6 months.... Still the best battery I own. Easily lasts a whole day of interneting and playing games. Only time it came to low battery was when I was using it to record several hours of 3D footage.
Only issue is the size and weight.....

I have the battery OP asks about. And your opinion is right. In the beginning it lasted a lot longer than the original. After a couple of months it was worse than the original and I have used the original battery since.

Andida 1800mAh Battery Testing

Hi All,
Well, I finally received my Andida 1800mAh battery in the mail this week. Charged it up and I'm on my second day of real world testing. It's midday over here and my phone has been off the charger since 8am although I have only used it to send a couple of messages, read a few emails and check my calendar today. I'm not using any SetCPU profiles (haven't even installed SetCPU) and I have 97% remaining.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to test this battery against the stock? I was just going to enable bluetooth, wifi, GPS and load a playlist of the first season of scrubs and see which one lasted the longest. I can't imagine either would last any more than a couple of hours.
Any better ideas would be appreciated, I'm keen to get to the bottom of this and see if there is any real world increase in capacity with this battery.

Im pretty sure this battery has no more mAh than the stock battery.

Based on what? That's what I'm trying to determine here because although there has been a lot of waffle about batteries on this forum, I've yet to see many people who actually own the battery provide any conclusive results. At this stage I'm neither arguing for or against the battery, but testing it out.

I'm interested to hear the results of your test. Sounds like a perfect and objective way to tell which performs better....
I have this battery and just from my normal usage, it doesnt seem to be any different than the stock battery. I have not done any testing, just comparing where the batter is after a normal day to what my stock battery was after a normal day.
Make sure you go through a few cycles with the new battery before doing anything. Also wouldn't hurt to reset your battery stats after it's fully charged. It's hard to tell what a 'normal' days use is to compare one vs the other. The movie test seems to be a pretty valid test to me. Please post your results.
i just got my $109 shipment from netimes.com with 5 cases, blutooth headset, dock with a slot for a battery to charge, and 3 1600 mAh batteries and they were all about $7 but they last almost as long as the stock battery with normal use so their probably about 1200 mAh but with 4 it should get me through a couple of days with MIUI which i get amazing battery on

Not to be rude, but that website wasn't updated that long ago with phones/batteries that are still very relevant in today's market. Considering battery technology has not gone through any sort of major rework for years it's safe to say the results on that page are pretty accurate to those phones and most new phones coming out.
Also, it's no secret that the majority of these companies rate the batteries miserably higher than what they will actually test at. I'd also imagine it's safe to say that since the testing these companies haven't changed their whole business plan to represent accurate battery measurements.
Just my two cents. We all know the general result of these battery threads.
Still those batteries on that website dint represent anything other than the phones they are for. once they do inspire galaxy s the 4 g version etc then that thing can be reference d

Until a reputable company comes out with a batter you can pretty much count on it not being any higher capacity than stock. This is due to the size of the battery, unless it sticks out the side of the phone there is almost not a way to make the battery much higher capacity using the same technology.(cheaply) Do you have evidence to prove otherwise? I'm willing to bet you do not..
do you have evidence it cant?
The evidence is in the battery capacities available, not hard to show that.
that is no evidence.......ive seen aa batteries mAH ratings grow but no physical changes.
but that is beside the point until battery boss is updated with the newest phones batteries then it shouldnt be used as a guide like it was back then

dont buy!1800MAH battery Andida

I understand the battery capacity number is hardcoded in the HD, so even if it were higgher capacity, it would still show that.
If you have a multimeter or other specialised equipment, that's the best way. Also, you'll need to run a few charging cycles to get a good comparison.
But anyway, cheap ebay batteries are just that. If you search this section, you will see tens of threads about fake batteries offering high capacity.
The only geniune high capacity battery is Mugen's, there are a couple of threads already about this battery.
(or buy a power-pack/recharger, eg 5000mah for €25-30)

wow thats real ****...thanks for the warning...Ive heard issue on all the brands that make aftermarket battery...only the original HTC seems to be actually the best performing units.
Not only the stock battery is probably the best performing one, but also the safest. Always be aware of the expansion and the heat that cheap batteries produce. It can damage your phone easily.
As for the capacity measurement, if you drain/charge the battery with higher current, it will show less capacity. Still the measured 1176mAh is probably closer to the truth than the printed 1800mAh.
thanks man for the warning

To compare the two batteries you should rate them in the same conditions. So if you can leave the stock battery with them to test them both and post the results I would be grateful.

Agreed, I bought one of these Andida batteries from eBay as well, had it in for a couple of months & i've now gone back to the original battery. In my opinion, it doesnt last as long as the stock HTC battery.
I´ve bought this battery last week over ebay and at the 1st day i was pleased, because the operating time with it seems better than with the original battery. But after five daily loading sessions the battery drain gets faster and faster. Yesterday, after 1,5 hours Angry Birds and a little time listening music it runs from 100 to 38%. Today i´ve installed the original battery back and i was surprised. After five days in the drawer of my desk it shows 99% accu state. I will stay at the original.
not 1800mAh
It has only 1170mAh
anyone find a good replacement with higher cap ?
Thanks for warning.
As far as i know there's nothing better then mugen's 1500 =(
Don't look just mAh's, they will not tell all. Also, if HTC's factory battery costs ~30€, who believe that the battery which costs 10 euros, can be better than the original..?

Just got mine today. From ioomobile. They've got it on sale for $17 + free shipping (on their website) or $19 from eBay.
See how it runs over the next few days. Usually get around 35 hours (light/minimal use) or so on miui 1.7.8 on stock battery.
I'll post back after a day or two and report if it's any better.

Once the huge redesign hits (apparently this week) I will give it a go
this is a very good battery i have it for 2 weeks and it does now 3 days one darky jvp base rom with normal use
1e charge about 8 hours from full then drain thil empty
trie to start the phone untill its do nothing then charge phone when he is off for 8 hours then go to clockworkmod with charge cable attached and wipe battery statistics now start youre phone and wait until it says 100 % unplug it and use it till the phone shutdown and charge again 8 hours with the phone off untill 100% power up the phone and wait til 100% is given then youre battery statistics calibratit with the bigger capacity.

for a stock fit this would be the best, if you want a larger battery with back then I would recommend their 2700
I've received my 1700 momax battery last week and it's very good!
2 days with medium usage and CM7
Could someone pls do a real test? white screen, max brightness screen on time till shutdown compariaon would be great. everything else ia just not really compareable.
I've had my Momax 1700 mah battery for about 3 weeks now and it's performing well. I have a noticable increase in battery life, deffinitely more than a day, up to almost two days depending on usage.
I'm not a heavy user, main usage would be a few calls, internet and bit of video/movie viewing a day.
I'm on Juwe's 5.3 ROM with a Semaphore 1.5/1.6 kernel. Am also just trying the latest GalaxianGT kernel and seem to be getting similar battery life.
"1e charge about 8 hours from full then drain thil empty"
what do you mean? a full battery then charge it again 8 hours? or charge it with external device? i dont understand. the rest makes sense but this is....
Got this battery from ebay (ioomobile user). I have it in my possession for one week now. It went through 3 full charge/discharge patterns and the beefed capacity is getting noticeable now. I'm easily getting 2 days out of my phone (~36 hours) compared to ~24 I was getting with the one year old original battery. I'm actually using my phone daily for music - emails - web browsing having the display on for about 3 hours/day.
I highly recommend this battery nor necessarily to the recent SGS owners but more to the ones having these gadgets for about one year .

A decent battery

Hi,
I'm just a simple guy using HTC Desire. It's been 1.5 years and it's time to get a new battery. I wanted to get this japanese 2430mah battery but I understand it's a scam.
So instead I wanted to opt for an original battery. However I do not understand why the original battery in the official UK htc store costs 3 times as much than it is on amazon.co.uk. Is this because it is not truely genuine? Why is it so complicated to get a new battery?
All I need is a battery that would last me from morning till I go to sleep at night. I do use bluetooth, wifi and mobile internet quite a lot. That's it.
Thanks for all your help,
Timmy
No one here knows if the batteries sold on Amazon are genuine or not?
Depends on who is selling the batteries. Is it being sold and shipped by Amazon or is it a 3rd party who is selling and shipping through Amazon Marketplace?
This is a third party. It's all very confusing. As I said above the price for what is supposedly the same battery on the HTC shop is 3 times as much.
battery not good
I bought a battery from China through dealextreme, a 1400 mAh 3,7V PISEN battery, because my orginal was getting kind of old...
It was good for 1-2 month's but after that my original 2 year old HTC battery was performing better. I would think twice before buying something else than a original battery again.
i too have fallen foul of the fake batteries, i just want something that gives me better on time without resorting to the hump back batteries
I too think I'm in need of a new battery, I guess I'll sift through ones on eBay for now..
I bought a new original htc batterie. How can I check whether it's original or crap ?

Genuine HTC battery
I bought a genuine battery off Amazon (UK). Arrived this morning, seems to be identical to my genuine HTC battery. I investigated other options, but few people seemed happy with their higher mA batteries, so went for stock.
As this is my first post and XDA seems rather fascist in its approach to trying to limit noise (which doesn't work, IMHO; look at the number of posts in the Desire ICS threads about non-working cameras...), I can't post urls. I can't even post the url without the url tags. Very frustrating.

My advice if you want more days of usage without losing long term usability would be to go with mugen power batteries as mine has lasted 6 months with good consistant usage. This does mean that you will have to put a new battery cover on but hey, 2-3 days of usage isn't bad.
Actually, for $60 you can get a battery worth your time and money with double the power of a stock HTC Desire Battery on Amazon. I am planning to buy this soon because reviews look promising.

Hi,
I'll also went with the Anker. 2 Days without charging even when using custom roms... Definetely a good choice for this Price!
riahc3, if you ask for advice, don't argue about there being higher capacity batteries, if you want the mugen go get it, but if you asked advice in the first place then don't get annoyed when people don't give you the answer you want to hear. Sorry, that's just the way I see it.
If you're after numbers rather than advice, take both. Look at my screenies, yeah I know I'm a light user, under clocked and had a sneaky charge in between but this was on CM10.1 build 15 which supposedly has battery problems, and as you can see I listened to music for a couple of hours as well. Also everyone else here has gotten at least 2 days between charge with Ankers.
battery info
I am also thinking about buying a new battery but I think that it doesn't matter how much mAh of the battery has. I think that real question is how will be after 6 months of usage. Most of these aftermarket batteries are start good but after few weeks or months they become useless. So we need real user feedback. Is there anyone who uses any of the aftermarket battery more than few months?
I've started to use JellyBaby v1.5 ROM and I've decided to buy new battery instead of new device.

I've been using the Mugen battery for over two years now. Still get good battery life, although playing games drains it pretty fast. I can last two full days if I try, but it's pushing it. One day is easy.
2 day is sufficient

I don't know about battery life of iPhone 5, S3, Note2, etc but I think that under normal circumstances battery life of our phones should be 2 days.
Do you use home-screen widget or lock screen widget? Does they have any effect on battery life?
aftermarket battery? you're better off getting a oem, a lot of aftermarkets don't live up to the levels they advertise.
I recommend the evo 4g design battery, it fits perfect in our devices at a whopping 1520 mah compared to stock's 1300mah

A 200 mah difference wont matter
But 3 times stock mah means something

Hi,
I had the Seidio one which was good and lasted for more than 1.5 years. Now I have the Mugen one and feel like it's gettimng worse after only 8 months.
