it's the weirdest thing- I'm using that notification sound for my Gtalk, etc., but I can't find it anywhere in my system! otherwise i'd post it for ya...
btw, what ROM are you running? I am currently on TouchMIUIwiz, and I had to wipe cache and dalvik cache for the stock sounds to show up.

I'm on SmoothMaximus gingerclone. And what exactly does does wipe cache and dalvik cache do? I always do that when flashing new ROMs an such but not a clue what it does. Ima go search it up!

hey i found the file! the problem was that in my system in Root Explorer, it is not called Techno Bird, it's called Alert_galactica_1. anyway, i am unable to attach the file, maybe because XDA does not support .ogg attachments, or maybe because i am in Ubuntu. check your pm's tho...

Serious NECRO ALERT, as they say! By request I'm renewing the link for the Techno Bird notification. Also just for fun I'm adding my other favorite notification tone, Blue Flute, from the original Sidekicks by Sharp. (Thanks to ncmacasl for making Blue Flute available some years ago. He also has a folder or two of all the old Sharp Sidekick sounds, probably still available.)

Really? I know you know what you are doing, but did you clear the cache, dalvik, and fix permissions? I also went into manage apps and cleared all of my messaging data.

Agreed I tried too force close even with changing the permissions. Ill donate if someone wants to whip that up. I would but not quite sure how to adjust in the framework. Tried google didn't get any good knowledge about doing so

thats what i did it works perfect. if i pull the mms.apk from a vibrant rom do you think it will work on the 4g?

A lot of apk's from the vibrant will work on the 4G.
I know contacts doesn't though.
Pull it from trigger and push it.
I can theme it if someone tells me what they want.
I pulled one from trigger for vibrant and it works great its blue and black Id post it but idk how to from xda app

Well here it is ver.2 of my theme. Fixed some issues with black on black text and volume bar.

Themed volume and download bars
Themed notifications pulldown
Installation: place file on your sdcard and flash through cwm or unzip file and push systemui.apk to system/app and frameworkres.apk to system/framework then reboot. And Enjoy

yeah, that menu is part of the /system/app/systemui.apk
As long as the computer I use will play nice with my phones internet I will have a fixed version up today. Wish me luck.

There is an app in the market called screenshot that works for me. It has a time feature so you set it for some number of seconds and you can choose the file format as well.
It also has a shake to shoot feature if you want to take multiple shots.

Yeah, that fixed it. . As always loving the gapless playback, but missing my "Instant queue" feature. :/. I thought they'd add it by version 2.
I bought PowerAMP a few months ago, and it really was the best music player I've tried. There hadn't been many updates and I was worried was on the back burner, nice to see it was only because they were working on a big update. Loving the beta so far.

Wound up playing with this a bit more. They've definitely improved the queuing of songs. Interface is nice, just had to get used to it. Looks like I found my new default player. Will most likely buy when 2.0 final gets released.

Hmm, i can't seem to pinpoint the reason. My last resort would be either clearing the app's data and/or cache if it has one or redownload the app after uninstalling the defective one.

I'm running cm7.2rc1 and last year there was this notification tones that I can describe as bass drop. If someone knows what I'm talking about and has the files on their PC, please share cause the sights or gone :-(

I don't have any sense stuff, but if you DL a sense ROM, open it with 7zip or something and look in system/media, you'll find all the tones there. Good luck. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

If you go to Tommy's mods thread for the classic, all the way towards the bottom of the op there is a download for sense ringtones. I tested it out, it works fine for cm.
