Hi,
I live in Portugal and I now have a HTC Touch Pro 2. I will travel to New York next October, and I was thinking about the possibility of buying there a new smartphone (Iphone, android, Windows phone, don't know yet...).
Could you give your opinion about this?
Are the smartphones cheaper in the USA?
Advantages and disadvantages of buying there?
Thanks in advance.
Marco

i've been looking for a x7510, i just got the dream the other day, but i don't like it, i like the windows mobile OS rather than the android system, phone is brand new, if anyone wants to trade for my phone + cash, because I've been looking on eBay, but all of them have the Japanese letters on the keyboard, i don't want that, i want the USA version of it
Hi,
X7510 is available at http://www.expansys-usa.com.
Expansys is the principal internet supplier for HTC products.
Hey folks, does anybody here work for T-Mobile UK? Or if any of you have done this could you let me know?
Does anyone know if you can buy handsets directly from T-Mobile without the contact? For example, buy the non-subsidised phone outright as you would buying a sim-free model from online retailers at the usual £200-£500 cost?
Currently can't call them to ask, and wanted their version of the handset from rather than other retailers.
Enter to marketplace, perhaps you can find some
Hi all.
I will soon move to La Jolla, San Diego, to study and was thinking about buying a new cell phone. I was looking at either iPhone or HTC HD2 with some kind of contract. However, I only know AT&T and they only have the iPhone with a 2-year contract. Since my stay only will last for six months, 2-year is way too long time to be cuffed to a contract. Where is the cheapest place to buy a iPhone? And what about the HTC HD2? Is it possible to sign a 6-months contract which is the standard duration of a contract here in Denmark.
Thanks.
Best,
Kevin
Try buying a pre-paid (no contract) iphonie at at&t. The HD2 has not been released in the States, and a Euro unlocked one will not get 3G here!
Go for Leo definitely!
Of cource HTC
It is not so much a question of iPhone vs. HTC HD2 since my girlfriend is going for the iPhone and I definitely go for the HTC HD2, but since we are both going to San Diego we need to find the cheapest place.
I have been searching AT&T´s homepage and it looks like the iPhone cannot be bought as pre-paid. Are there any other big companies in the US that sell prepaid phones or with contracts less than 2-years?
Another thing, when I read about cell phones in the US I get the understanding that only iPhone has 3G in the US? Is that really true? Is 3G not so widely used in the US, because I was expected to use HTC HD2 with 3G.
HI guys,
does anyone know of good reliable website where i can buy android phones from. I'm interested in buying the HTC Desire, however it's not out in Canada yet and I'm not entirely sure when it will be coming to Canada. Also, i don't want to have to deal with the ****ty service providers to get the Desire.
So, does anyone know where i could buy it from?
any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Best site here in the old Europe but valid even for US and Canada is www.expansys.com
Go for it.
Hi,
My friend is visiting Singapore this week and i've asked to get me a phone from there as its time i upgrade from my HTC Gene. This time I'me thinkin of going android more over WM but always open to WM.
So which phone should I get, preferably an unlocked one? My budget is 300USD or 400 SGD.
Any Singapore locals know of any sale going on anywhere? and just another off-topic ques: Anything else worth buying in Singapore this week?
