Clockworkmod won't load..

I installed the clockworkmod touch 5.8.4.0 on my rooted and unlocked 1.85 One X, and whenever I boot into recovery it shows the loading screen then boots back into my OS. Even if I use rom manager I can't install the custom rom. Trying to install the cyanogenmod but can't do nothing. Any help? Tried posting in the other subforum they told me to come here so I'm not double posting! Tried fastboot erase cache
I don't think CWM Touch works on this phone. Try flashing the CWM that is in the Development subforum, or TWRP.
Will try, thanks!
Got the 5.8.3.1 to work, thanks again!

I'm trying to install a custom rom but when I get into installing it, it says formatting cache then stays there and at the bottom says next, if I click it, it says it has been installed when really it hasn't. Trying to install the jdroid exodized. any help?

[Q] Helping a noob

Hi there!
I have a Galaxy Tab 7 and I am a noob on this development stufs.
I am trying to install this version on it:
cafe-ti.blog.br/1835~samsung-galaxy-tab-7-gt-p1000-android-jelly-bean-cm10
And looks like the language is pretty simple but I have no clue how to do it...I mean, I trie using Odin..did not work...
I tried this instead:
[wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_Tab_(P1000L):_Full_Update_Guide
but the Recovery mode does not work!
There is any step by step non expert language tutorial to how let the Tab 7" with the CM10?
Thanks from Brazil

I tried this video, passin to 2.3.6 first, using Odin..
youtube.com/watch?v=fXDvq5SaA70&feature=relmfu
workd well, however, after flashing, is not turning on again...
What may can be?
Oh yeah don't use the 7.7 forum then...
You Odin flashed a ROM and now the device won't even turn on? Or is it just boot loop?

I had to come to work and let it at home...
Well, as berfore flash it I let the USB on the debugging, I will track the oneclick root directly to se if at least will get a conecction with a computer;
I will try to send it to the dealer as well.
I believe as I let it on the 2.3.6, wich is the same one running on Kies, still under warranty to perform a hard brick recovery.
Let's see.
Thanks..I'll keep you guys posted.
Yeah let us know, hopefully we can do something, not sure why a GB Stock Odin flash would brick it.

Ok! Is on the 2.3.3 now.
I want to put the Cyanogen 4.1.1 as described here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1871113
However, when I tried it shows me the error I mentioned above and also
Failed to verify whole-file signature...
Then , I was able to come to CMW where I should install the Cyanoi 4.1.1 however keeps showing me the error:
E: Can't moun /emmc/
Ideas?
OK
now I tried this room:
Rom: Overcome + Overcome Kernel
Following the guide step by step and then the E: looks like to be damaged. I can not even turn it on again.
Just when I put it to charge, it will show the brick scree (the fone and the computer)...
I am almost givin up...
Does your tab have an SD card in it?
If so try a different one, if not odin 100% stock, then do the root, and ROM flash again.

So I'm going to unlock her today

So basically
Unlock
Reboot
Install Goo Manger
Install Open Script
Reboot into recovery
Install ROM/Gapps
{PROFIT}!?
I'm running Official Jelly Bean, and I am rooted.
Let me know if that is the right process
Thanks!

I can't decide if i want to do this with my brand new infinity Knowing my luck as soon as i do it I'd need warranty work. I assume this fixes the pausing while browsing and stuff like keyboard lag? After you unlock it doesnt really matter what OTA updates come out does it?

I wouldn't expect wonders but I'm using CM10 and it's definitely an improvement.
I just rooted and unlocked my tablet last night. Doing some reading atm and it looks like my next step would be to install CWM/ROM Manager and then go to town with the ROMs. My question though is what can I do without a Windows desktop/laptop? I'm currently deployed and forgot to bring my laptop charger. I had enough battery left to root my tablet and thats about it. Then I unlocked it with only the tablet. Do I need to use a computer for most ROMs? Or can I download them directly to the tablet and then install them? I've also got a Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0(stock/not rooted)...can that be used for anything that might require a desktop/laptop?
Is Goo Manager better than ROM Manager?
Do not use rom manager. You will brick your device!

You can use Goo but have to be rooted to do so.
Other way is fastboot. You'll need to be able to use a cmd prompt and have the adroid sdk installed.
Download the TWRP 2.3.1.0 version from the goo website (rename to twrp.blob) and use the following commands to to flash it whilst the tablet is in fastboot mode:
fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash recovery twrp.blob
fastboot -i 0x0B05 reboot

Thanks. I'll go with Goo Manager and TWRP. For my other question though is rooting one of the only things that requires to be plugged into a Windows PC? Atm I only plan to install a rom and probably the Data2SD mod when my microSD card comes in the mail. I don't have access to a PC since my laptop battery is dead and no charger.

I was able to root last night on my laptop. Problem is my laptop battery is now dead and my charger is 7000 miles away lol. I was just curious if there is anything else that needs to be plugged in to do. All I have right now is the TF700 and my Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0. I'm thinking one of my limitations will be formatting my microSD card if I need it to be a certain file system.

If it's still at the pretty much factory default for most manufacturers (i.e., FAT32), you'll be fine. How are you going to get the custom ROM file on that card?

A couple of questions to add since I am in a similar situation with a new, locked tf700. I've read as much as I could about everything but I just want to be very certain of the order of things I have to do.
I'm on ICS (.26).
1. unlock
2. nvflash
3. update to jb (should i do .20 or .23?)
4. flash twrp
5. flash cleanrom
Is that all?
Or should I root in ICS and use OTA rootkeeper and use goomanager at JB?
Thanks for the help!

Hi There!
I've seen this before and I hope this work for you.
Try this:
1. Download a rom for your device, it has to be a stock one (you can find some here or here)
2. Uninstall Kies.
3. Install usb drivers for your device, you can download them here.
4. Run Odin as administrator.
5. Connect your tablet to your PC, Odin should show "Added"
6. Flash the stock rom you downloaded earlier.
Let it reboot and it should be ok now, if this doesn't work, I can't help you any further.
Wish you the best.

ECHOE Rom conversion to S7active release

This is the Universal Echoe Rom originally made for the S7flat/S7edge source thread is here ...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-s7-edge/development/echoe-rom-g935t-beta-t3440877
have converted it to work properly on our s7actives so all buttons WORK, no boot loops at start, and no need to get scary blue warning screens, or reflashing of boot.img's
but normal risks, so do the normal routine, backup, and start with a charged battery ...
### Downgrading
1. Using modified Odin by pricecomsy
2. power down phone, and get it into download mode (so with phone switch off, hold menu+volume down and power on, then when prompted volume up)
3. Unpack G891AUCS2API2_6.0_ALL.rar
4. Load all 4 of these unpacked files in their respective placements in Odin...
5. Flash ! once Finished, you in a Clean Marshmallow
### Install is from Marshmallow/Android 6
1. So downgraded from Nougat/v7, or start afresh with Odin (i tested with PL1)
2. flash G891A_6.0_Eng_boot in odin in AP placement
3. Then root by running root.bat from MM_SuperSU-v2.76-S7QC package (it installs flashfire too)
4. then open up flash fire and add converted ECHOE_G891x_Universal_AROMA_V1.2a as zip
5. and flash, follow the aroma installer
6. once it starts installing WILL take 10-15 minutes to load ..
7. then reroot like step 3.. (need to fix the embedded rooting system to suit our actives, like on my ufirm, if i get hassled, and people like this rom will spend some more time on it! )
i doubt this is very good on battery, does have some graphical errors, but they reported in the original thread on the s7flat/edge too
will take a while to configure to how you like it, but the NoNaMe/Echoe rom configurator is very good !
All thanks go activefan01, jrkruse, and all of the echoe, and NoNaMe teams .. all i did was small conversion work, and repackage it ..
just in case i need it ....

Yeah as its based on marshmallow, and its very busy ROM....
There is a v1.5 aviable to convert over, but I doubt that will make any significant difference ..
