Have you tried the built in Trace (you need predictive text and trace turned on keyboard settings)

Sensation market version

I presume the market on Sensation is a HTC customized version. Mine is 2.3.4, but the latest version is 2.3.6. Is there any way to get the original Google market on my device? I prefer having a shortcut to "My Apps" instead of "HTC recommends" on the main page. Also, from manage apps, you cannot clear data for market, the button is grayed out. Anybody else having this ?

I think its an issue that will remain till we root it.. and then you will have access to some great apps n the market to do whatever you want!
On my Desire I always had the latest version of market, not customized and I wasn't rooted...
I think that's the over-seas version. Ours says t-mobile instead of "My apps". i dont care..i can just search for what i want.
It is different from stock market i think because i can't upgrade to 2.3.6

I just checked my version and I'm on 2.3.4 also. I think you're tripping. Relax, i think it's meant to be that way.

no biggie i guess, just an extra clicks and u will get my apps by pressing menu.. still, when root comes, it will be no extra clicks
I miss the sliding feature. When you click on apps or games, you can slide left or right to view most popular apps, most popular free apps and latest my apps.

Running 2.3.4, works fine so not sure what the fuss is about
no fuss, just wondering why would HTC bother with a custom version of market which they would need to keep up to date ? What was wrong with the default one from Google? Maybe it didn't support the higher resolution of the Sensation yet ??
Iv got 2.3.4 but iv just got my apps. No htc tab or anything?
Either way it seems to work ok

I have installed the latest version of Market (2.3.6) manually and it doesn't display correctly on the Sensation, so reverted back to 2.3.4 HTC Sensation custom version. At least I know the reason...

Changing keyboard

I just got my htc sensation and it won't let me change the keyborad any ideas ? I try going to settig and I clicked swift key and it just won't change

Go to the phone's settings, then keyboard, and change there. Then I know I also had to change it in the messaging application by tapping and holding in the text or body field, then a pop-up should come up asking for input method, and you change there also. That's how I got SwiftKey to work.
Thanks! That worked

E-mail messages

Hi just got my Sensation, is there any way or fix to highlight multiple emails for deleting? I was able to do this before with my hero, but unable to do this now and think I'm just missing something.
Hope someone can help.

If you're using the stock mail just select the check marks to the left of the messages and the delete button will be at the bottom.

Yeah I know that, but I want to highlight all my emails without having to do them one at a time.
The Hero had a tick at the top that highlighted every email.
Cheers

Unable to select phone app for Sense 3.0 lock screen shortcut.

Hello all,
I have a stock Sense 3.0 for HTC Sensation 4G and I noticed that the phone shortcut has disappeared from the lock screen, and I am unable to readd it. It has also disappeared from my launcher, however still shows up under settings > all apps. Help!

I wonder if this has something to do with HTC sense, is there any data I can clear from an HTC app? I tried clearing data from HTC Sense app which didn't do anything.
You mean the big button in the middle right? Try turning off fast boot mode, or easier take out the battery put it in and restart your phone. Might help but I guess you have tried that already.
