Can not read SD Card after flashing Insertcoin 2.2.1.... HELP - HTC Sensation

first flashed 2.2.1 from 2.1 and card was not being read.... so then i full wiped and reflashed 2.2.1... same thing. SD card is not being read by the phone.
I tried pulling it out and putting back in, doesn't help.
CWM recovery reads it and so does my old lg dare.... so the card is fine..... what should i do? may be partition the card? I am lost.... it seems as if it is the problem with the ROM, but no one else seems to have that problem and i can't post in developers section due to being a new member, i would love to ask this question in the actual ROM thread. (mods wink wink)
Thanks for any help.
EDIT: When i put the cd card is it goes "preparing cd card" then "cd card unmounted". it also reads when sd card is removed.
AND another cd card works just fine.... it just doesnt have all the files on it. Seems as if the ROM just doesnt want the old card, it doesn't recognize it.... while in recovery it recognizes.

help me out guys.... what should i do?

Ok I just had this same problem but with MDJs rom. I messed around with the phone all night last night and just gave up. I re installed a rom that was working (aka phone and text) and left it for the day at work. I got home this afternoon and did a full wipe and then factory restore. then fixed permissions and installed the newest version of virtuous rom (1.1.0) I booted and put all my info in for my google account and still did not have a SD card. So I rebooted and wouldnt you know it....an SD card!
I hope this helps and good luck

Flashed Raphael and now the files on the SD card are gone

I flashed to the newest build and now nothing shows up in my storage card....on the phone and through device center. I tried reverting back to the previous build, but still nothing is there. When I plug it in to device center, the storage card is recognized and it says that it does have memory used on it, but there are no files to be seen in the explorer on the phone and on the device center. Any help please?

anytime you flash, you are suppose to remove the sd card cause it wipes out everything on the phone and card, sorry to say but your stuff you had on your sd card is gone.
Out of everytime I have flashed roms on a phone, this has never happened. The thing is that the sd card still says it's half full which shows me there is still data, but I just can't see it.

Ive never seen that flashing deletes files on sd, too and i flashed a lot of times, always with sd- and sim card in the TP.... Try to rescue data on the card with Norton Utilities ... i ve had good experiece with sd cards from a camera that i could save the data on it. Did you try progs like pocket mechanic?
Greetz &good luck

I tried some of those tools and other recovery tools as well and nothing. Anyone else have anymore information on this?
I think you get the disappearing card when you have mis-matching FAT tables (it's happened to me before). I suspect that you had a growing problem and that the flash was just a coincidence and not the cause. You should try the demo version of Wizcode Scandisk and see if it can fix the issue. The also have a data recovery app, but that could be more trouble than it's worth (I think it recovers files but not file names-sounds like hell to me, lol).
Thanks, I'll give it a shot and if that doesn't work then I guess I will just format it

[Q] Reinstalling Infused 1.5.3 from stock

Alright given the issues with Infused V2 and all the craziness on GTG's ROM thread and the fact that I have been having some serious issues with V 2.0.0 since installing it I decided to go back to stock. I accomplished that without issue. I then rooted because I could not remember how to load one of the recoveries that was already rooted.....??? Anyway I got it rooted no problem. I have copied the 3E recovery file into the /system/bin directory while renaming the original recovery file using Root Explorer. I have downloaded ROM Manager after a lot of frustration because the market didn't want to download it even though I purchased it previously. I ran the Clockwork mod, Galaxy I9000 chosen. I ran it twice and I end up with Green Recovery screen not the Red CWM?? If I reboot and try to get back into Red CWM I end up back in the blue Recovery. So what the heck am I missing or not doing right? Can I just use ROM Manager to install from SD and put the 1.5.3 zip on the internal sd and get back to some Infused goodness????
I tried loading it from ROM Manager but it reboots into blue recovery and I get an error message.
E:Can't open /cache/update.zip ????
I think I remember something about this before do I have to delete cache data and then try again???
Try refuse 1.7 it works just as good as infused

I had the same thing...I think. I was on gb, restored back to stock, noticed gtg's links were down so I desided to use my sdcard. I can't remember if I was blue or green to start but it wasn't red. I installed my froyo infused rom which brought me to red. I then flashed my saved gb rom thru sdcard but it was all messed up, had all the rainbows again even tho it was the stable version and I wasn't able to enter recovery from power button. I guess it was because I didn't do a wipe before flashing. I ended up doing a factory reset after because I couldn't download from the market or use gtalk (set fixed it) but I lost all my saved data.

Thanks for the reply. I got it all sorted out by using the green recovery and flashing the 1.5.3 zip. Everything is cool now I used TBU to restore my apps and data and that went perfect. The only hitch was the internal SD Card still had a bunch of old stuff on it so I decided to format it which was good but also bad because i had my work timesheet on the internal SD card..... I thought I had saved it on the external SD card but it was on the internal. So I lost last weeks timesheet which isn't the end of the world but the boss isn't going to be too pleased. He is the one that got me doing my timesheets on my phone in the first place so he is partly to blame. I have taken steps to not have that happen again by moving everything to the external SD card. What a nightmare. Took me all day to get back to 1.5.3 and I was very careful to backup everything manually so i didn't lose anything unfortunately I did not realize that my timesheet was on the internal storage. Oh well live and learn.

email your timesheet to yourself each day...then you have a backup
Not a bad idea but never had to worry about it before as it was always on the external storage on my Blackberry. But this new Android stuff is a little different than the crappy Blackberry. I have moved everything to the external SD card now so when I open something in Docs to Go it will definitely be from the external storage not the internal and i may just start emailing as well just to be safe.

[Q] Phone wont boot with new SD Card

Hi all,
I have a custom rom on my Desire and lately my phone hangs/applications die, so I guess that my SD card is going to die soon. Badblock checks found some.
So, I have two partitions (normal and sd ext) and I copied all the stuff from one SD card to another using my linux box. But still, the phone doesnt start. I found some topics saying I have to wipe and reflash my rom, but why? All the data from the old card is on the new one. Is there something I am missing??
Alex sad

I don't think u can just do a copy paste when u switch Sd ccards
But what do I have to do?
Currently I am doing a clockworkrecovery restore of an old (2011) backup, just to see if it works (still restoring)

[Q] No way out of Bootloop + 'can't open /sdcard/update.zip (bad)' error

Ok..so I've been using HTC explorer for 2-3 months and everything was going fine but the low internal memory kept bugging me so I rooted the phone (i delayed rooting because it voids warranty..)..I deleted the pre installed apps and all other unnecessary crap..but the internal memory was still low so I went for factory reset..:|..and thats how you get into bootloop but searching for solutions..i found that my problem can be solved by flashing new rom..so I downloaded 1 and flashed it (yes i followed all the steps like creating ext4 partition and wiping cache etc).. but suddenly 'can't open /sdcard/*rom*.zip (bad)' popped up..so I went through the forums but didn't found any approved solution but suggestions like re downloading the rom..or checking if signature verification is off or flashing any other rom..i tried all of them..i retried re downloading the rom..I tried flashing cm 9..explode^1..Jaggyrom..even the stock rom but nothing positive happened..I am clueless..Please Help...
What recovery did you flashed, another thing, try with another sd card, or repartiotion this one through recovery after that get some rom on it. If you have a card reader, check if the card is ok.
And don't rename zip's live them with their original names.

i flashed with A310e recovery...and the card is fine..I read somewhere to format the card with sdformatter and flash the rom from there and create the partition after the rom has booted..so i am trying that..I'll update you..thnx for reply btw.. :highfive:
Try installing CM10 Beta 2 on a clean, unformatted sd.
If that doesn't work, change your recovery.
Working fine
everything's alrite now..the thing that was causing the problem was the partitioned sd card...I removed partition and then flashed it and everything went well...

Photo's Dissappear From Camera Roll/MyGallery, Not Reading SDCard

First I have been having this issue where photos disappear from camera roll and mygallery. So far the solutions suggested online haven't worked for me. I have reset, deleted cache, rebooted etc still the same issue persists.
Today I noticed the SD Card is not recognized anymore. Re-booted but that didn't help. Nice phone but this two issue suck. What can I do about this?
What rom you are on? Have you tried mounting ext in bmm, fix permission etc? Have you tried pulling out sd card and turn the phone, put it back afterward?

"Mount bmm" - No idea what that is. Will read tonight.
Other's "SDcard, etc" - Yes have.
ROM is Stock 4.0.4
SOLVED -
I factory reset the phone, and gave it a different SD Card. Working like a charm so far. I suspect the issue was the sd card. The Sim card seems fine also, no issue so far.
Thanx for the effort.
