[Q] Power AMP-program has stopped working - General Questions and Answers

Welcome. I have a little problem with the power amp. I follow the instructions as if everything is activated and is ok, but when you run the power amp-and erase me "Application PowerAMP (com.maxmpz.audioplayer process) has been unexpectedly stopped. Try again "
I tried a couple unlockerów, a pair of power amps and still got the same error. Do you have any ideas what could have happened? Until recently, acted normally. Regards

reinstalling and rebooting usually fixes lots of weird problems

I try it, still not resolved

Try clearing cache and app data

still don't work...

Does the problem occur when you start the app, when starting a title, or at another point?
And just as an experiment: If you have a task killer or task manager running, disable it.

Yes, when it starts. I turn off my task killer and nothing change. I don't have any ideas what happend;/ few days ago power amp has work normally

Any changes on the SD card? New partitions, music directories, songs added or removed?
Same problem when you start the app directly or via the widget?
P.S.: Do other music players work?

hmmm I can't run it so, I can't choose directory, so I can't try open music from widget. I have got also player pro and it works still good. Do you thing, format SD card can resolved my problems?

Did you try Settings/Applications/Manage Applications/PowerAMP and select "Clear data" ...

notification sound driving me crazing

i don't know how it happened but i deleted my facebook pop notification sound. and i wanted it back. thus i got a replacement and placed it into my notifications folder on the sd and of course when i go to select it in settings, it freezes and thus requires a force close. thus i was wondering if anyone knows how i could put into the sound into the notifications folder of the phone (not the sd card) to see if that helps. Not with root explorer, cause i don't wanna buy it for this one dumb task. I was hoping to do it with terminal emulator, if someone could give me the commands. ...
also recommend a good music player cause mine keeps crashing. thanks.
If this was the app from the market you could try uninstalling and reinstalling and see if that fixes the problem

[Help]Strange App Installation Issue

I've applied the market fix to my Charge, and things display properly, but I'm occasionally having an issue with being able to install apps. I'll download something from the market, but it won't go past the installation progress bar and say its complete. If I force-close the market and re-open it, the option to download is either greyed out, or it won't go past the button to accept the permissions. Like the button will register but then nothing happens and I'll be at that same screen.
Once it happens with one app it seems to stop all others from installing too, in either Android Market or the Amazon App Store. Only way I've really found to fix it is to boot into CWM, clear cache and Dalvik cache, reboot, and wait for everything to populate from my sd card. Even then it will often re-occur after awhile.
After clearing the dalvik cache it often takes quite some time for the apps on my sdcard to show up as installed and actually work, despite the media scan showing completed right after I boot. And sometimes I'll have to force a screen redraw to see the icons. I'm also occasionally having a force close, freeze, or system restart, though those are pretty rare.
I'm running EE4 basebands, imnuts PBJ kernel with voodoo (6-02), and the deodexed EE4 ROM. I've flashed the sd card read-only fix, market fix, AOSP lockscreen, and accurate battery mod. I don't know what's going on, but while I love how fast my phone is now, its really getting tiring having to reboot it from time to time just get app installations to work.
I don't know if I should try reflashing everything, or just run GummyCharged. Does anyone have any ideas about what may be going on??

Make sure you don't have any apps installed on the SD card. That causes nothing but problems and lagginess. Settings->Applications->Manage Applications click tab on installed on SD card. Move all apps to internal memory.

[Q] Interesting problem

*** I have spent an hour searching through posts looking for this issue. Unless my search-fu is way off today, I can not find this issue.
Problem Cause
Improper shutdown
Was in a game of Battleheart, battery was dying, I plugged it in;not realizing that the power bar I plugged into was not on, tablet power off mid play a few moments later.
So I plug it in for a few mins, then turn it back on to nothing but a bunch of force closes rendering the tablet nearly inoperable.
Problem:
Constant force closes.
-com.google.process.gapps
-com.google.android.patrsnership
-com.google.android.gm
-com.google.android.vending
-com.google.android.calander
com.google.android.gmail
-com.google.providers.calander
etc
Force close Issues
-No Wifi,
-Cannot modify home screens in any way. If I try to remove a widget, the launcher goes into a constant force close loop com.android.launcher, effectivly disabling the tablet.
-Settings will not "take" I have read that solving the typical force closes that I am seeing is disableing the syncing via google and also clearing data/cache from gmaps, calander, bookmarks etc. However, while I can access settings and choose the options to remove this data, nothing actually happens. I deselect the sycing options under settings, but after reboot they are re selected.
-Cannot install any applications. Another solution mentioned was to install a new launcher, like ADW, or LP. Trying to install an apk immediately sends the device to the ausus boot logo and it will boot loop 5 times (loading circle dots rotate, then disappear while still at the asus logo) before finally loading to the home screen and its many force closes.
Solution?
I have not found one yet that is satisfactory. I was hoping toi pick the brains among some of you here, who may have more knowledge insight in solving this issue,
-Factory Reset? While this is always an option, it stinks. Like really. I'm about 15/16gb used on my internal mem. I have tons of apps, music, books, pics, progress in games etc that really sucks to lose.
-Hard Reset? See above
If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear em! Thanks!
have you tried a cold linux boot? hold the power and volume down for 10 seconds. You will then have the option to wipe the tablet. wait a few seconds, and another option becomes available(a not wipe symbol). This cold boots the os
Try clearing your dalvik cache.
+1 on wipe caches
had this problem, just wiped 'em and tada

Thanks for the quick replies.
Sorry I should have mentioned, I am running stock. No root, no custom recovery.
Is wiping the dalvik cache still an option?
aaaand people ask why we use CWM. This is why.
idk unless nvflash can fix it you have to lose all your crap in a factory reset.

[Q] App2sd causes boot loop issue

Guys see when i move my apps to the sd card with app2sd or any other program when i reboot my phone the home screen appears and then it does the media scanning and after that it boots continuously 5-10 times and stops after a factory reset. Anybody else having this issue. Please help!
I've heard that not all apps are compatible with app2sd. try moving them all back to where they were and move one at a time until it happens. take note of that app, move it back, and continue until you find all apps that cause this to happen. or, just don't use it. those are the only two options I know

I too have this issue... I've been pretty aggressive about moving apps first with Apps2SD, but also with Titanium. I've now removed Apps2SD but can't shake the reboot issue. I've found that with the phone in Airplane mode, the reboots are minimized and the phone ultimately does settle... but its going to be tough to figure out whats causing the reboots.
Any ideas, other than brute iteration

YouTube and Music Players Stop

This is so annoying and tried everything to resolve it without any luck. While playing YouTube and music players they pause/freeze after a few seconds. Rooted phone and never had this problem over years of using Sammy phones, tried clearing cache, uninstalling and re-installing apps, stopping power save mode etc without any success. Anyone else had this problem and has a fix, thanks.
What ROM are you using?

Go to Phone Settings, Device Maintenance, Battery, then press Unmonitored Apps and add whatever video, or music App you use and it will stop pausing.
