Noob question here, i would like to know if it is possible to send my cellular connection to another phone by bluetooth maybe? Let's say i have this old cdma smartphone that i like alot and i would like to use it sometimes but my line is on a new hspa sim card phone... Is it possible to establish a bluetooth connection to the new phone and use the old one to make calls. I don't know what VPN connections are but could this be used for making the link. My old phone is a windows 6.1 device and my new one is an android.

uhm im also looking for something like this... and i have 3g watchdog but that only monitors your internet data !
This app is incompatible with your Fido HTC HTC-Z710a.
Fido HTC HTC-Z710a
This item cannot be installed in your device's country.
This is a pretty specific problem. I got an invitation from Music Beta by Google using HotspotShield on PC. But now, can't get the APP forwarded to my HTC Sensation. I get the ''incompatible'' message.
Is there a way to install this without screwing up my Fido account/data plan?
Thanks again.
I'm on my phone so it would be a lot to find the url, but check out the Android Development and Hacking forum and there should few be a hacked up version of that app (no root needed).
Edit: it its the way that people outside the U.S. get around that problem.

I love this App btw. LOVE it! The sound, with the FxMusic equalizer is best on android. (unlike Spotify, which is shallow by comparison).
Hi There,
Im just curious if there's an tmous wifi calling app/apk compatible for my wife's inspire 4g?
I currently flashed Android revolution HD ROM yesterday and it runs smoothly - no bugs/lag etc.. however since we switch carrier from att to tmous I want to take advantage of the wifi calling feature from tmous.
I've search all the threads here and found al ot of solution but not on inspire 4g phone. I think there;s one thread that says it is possible on Virtuous Unity ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1271861
The instructions are a bit advance to me... and there's no confirmation that it works.
Switch ROM or not
Goovie ip it's on the market

Goovie ip is a great option! W/ a few exemption.
It would be nice for the recieving end to register my tmo number if im using the tmo wifi calling app.
Inspire 4g cannot get 3g/4g signal from tmo, only edge so groovie ip would be irrelevant with edge slow speed. Thats why TMO_US Wifi calling app is very ideal....
Sorry hope you come up with something.

What's the difference between this and Skype? I've made alot of videocalls on Skype and at least I can call friends on PC. What's the benefit of having Fringe installed? It's something like Whatsapp but for video calls as I see.
I understood that OP wants to make a 3G Video call...not a video call through whatever data connection it's active on the phone(including 3G). From my understanding that is a video call service that's depending on the operator. Vodafone is offering that in RO, I belive it's available for other countries/operators as well. And that means you can video call someone by his phone number
The service is described better HERE
Exactly rapier......
I meant the video calls through mobile network..... Not through internet....... Evn many java phones does this...... Y cant our much much advanced smart phones do this....??

I find gtalk smooth.
Think you can install gtalk with videocalls for desire s if you're rooted

Other option is if you both have the viber app
Plus Skype and fring as others have mentioned

I am in the same situation... I want to use this service too, but I started to think that is impossible with android phone. I had three phones with Android so far, but none of them have this option.....
As I saw, phones with 3G video call have a dedicated buton for this. This is not the case with our Android phones.
I called my operator now (Vodafone) and I got the confirmation. Android phones are not compatible with this service. Only phones that have a dedicated video call buton and are listed on the operator's compatibility list can use this service

Can some1 develop sumthing like this?????

3G native calling is not supported by Android. Only Samsung and LG android phones support it.
Sent from my HTC Desire S using XDA App
I was searching for this some time too. Unfortunately only apps like Skype or Fring are making this possible on my Desire S, but the client has to be installed on the other person phone too and this is a bit limiting. This is my only dissapointment of Android so far but I am finding it strange to have this service natively supported on my 2008' Nokia but not on my 2011' smartphone.
I truly hope that someday someone will suddenly share a nice way do make videocalls through the mobile network with Desire S
Tango is a very good video call app

olyloh6696, you just opened this thread. Could it be exactly what the OP here wanted? I just recall, when I was using Edymion ROM, that I had that video camera buton but never tried to use it. It could be the equivalent of the hardware "video call" buton on some phones for making 3G calls. Someone with sense rom could eventually try it

I have it on Virtuous too. But how can we add recipients there?
You shouldn't add recipients...sorry cause I don't have the ROM installed to try, but I suppose that button works identical with the normal "call" button, just that it is a video call instead. The person you are calling should support the video calling feature and have the service active from the operator in order for it to work. The way it should be used is by selecting a person from your contacts, then call using that video buton instead of the normal call button
Ah thanks! That clears it up! Cheers
