[REQUEST] app to alert battery levels - Android Apps and Games

I was testing battery life on a rom so I could compare it to other roms. And I thought it would be near to have a simple app to sound an alarm when my battery percentage reaches a certain level
Also. If it could time the amount between two percentages the user specifies it would be awesome.

Tasker can take care of this easily.

Really? I have to get that app.

They may already be included (they're on my Charge but I don't remember how they got there), but the Nexus' signature LWP and Microbes LWP are pretty popular.
What size should they be

Not sure if kejar uses a diff resolution, but the standard is 960x800.

[Q] Disable Data When Nearing Data Limit

I was wondering if there are any apps that will monitor my data usage and warn me when I'm nearing my limit and if possible turn it off. I loved using this feature on my previous phone with MIUI.
Take a look at 3G Watchdog... free in Market.

[Q] Motion Controls

Is there a flashable zip file or a rom or even an app that supports the motion controls from the galaxy s 2 or the galaxy s3, on this phone?
It might help others respond if you picked one of the threads you've started about bringing GS 2/3 features to the GSGS4G and posted there.
Yea I thought about doing that but I didn't think anyone would see it

Creating threads just so people will see them will end up getting you ignored.
I guess I overestimated how many ppl care about motion controls :/ but on the plus side I found an app that did the trick! feel free to delete this and the other thread

There's more than one actually. First one is "move'n launch" next is "tasker" (super complicated) and some others in the related of move n launch. All are in the market. They're not perfect but they're the next best thing after having a gs2/3

[Q] Swiftkey Flow

What do you guys think of it?
http://www.swiftkey.net/introducing-swiftkey-flow
Given that I consider SwiftKey the best keyboard out there for the way I use one, I think it would be an awesome topic for the Apps section!
>>> POOF <<<<
That was amazing!
I'm looking forward to trying it out. I did sort of like Swype, but it was just to buggy, its predictions too far off the mark, and no ability to edit the user dictionary made me leave it behind long ago.
Looks neat I signed up for the beta, tried out touchpal the other day, seemed too bloated but this looks somewhat promising. Thanks for the share.

It is explained on their support site here:
http://support.swiftkey.net/forums/...tion-to-use-swiftkey-predictions-everywhere-i
But, basically, there are two flags that android developers can use to let a keyboard know not to supply predictions. One of them is for a field that offers its own autocorrect. SwiftKey 3 behaves the same way. You can't flow anywhere that you don't have predictions. I hope that they change this and I hope that Google/Android changes how these flags work.
Just went ahead and downloaded this. Been wanting a nice swipe app. This works really well so far. Diggin the customization ability of it too.
Sucks battery like no tomorrow, from what I can tell. CM9 here.

App that helps battery?

Are there any apps out there that LEGITIMATELY help save/prolong battery life? I have memory booster running but that just helps my phone run smoother by killing cached app processes. Anything you guys can recommend?

This phone requires it's own nuclear power plant lol.
Seriously though, don't use memory boosters. They kill battery.
My setup is, CPU Tuner with timeriffic to set display brightness. With Maz's latest kernel I can get by... mind you I live in a very bad signal area (2 bars if I am lucky).
I set cpu to 216 when screen off with performance governor. Also I turn off data and Wi-Fi when screen turns off.
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda app-developers app
I have mazs latest beta kernel as well. Don't really see a difference in battery life from his previous oc kernel. Ill try CPU tuner though

Sure, but be careful with it. I once it accidentally to low enough power to where I could not get out of screen off (kept going back to screen off). Also using one cpu does not work.

Does CPU tuner even work with a kernel that not over clockable?

Would, but only two cpu states will be accessible... fairly useless.
Edit: you need voltage states for intermediate voltages, then it should work. But I have never seen a non OC kernel with granular voltage definition.

Antutu battery saver is genius. on the pulldown notification it gives battery % (+battery added)
so like 100%((+30)
also clean master (which is a memory booster) doesn't run in background so it doesn't deplete battery as much as some others
Sent from my LG-P999
i installed android booster, but also procured a brand new stock battery, and i actually am enjoying about 50-60% increase in battery life... although it still is not a lot (as far as i'm concerned!) after draining it, recharging to 100%, and then calibrating, i went 7 hrs 47 mins from 100% to 50% with normal use - calling, texting, some video, some gaming. not to bad considering my old battery would only last about 3 hours or less with the same kind of usage!!!

Check out DS Battery saver. I use it on my N7, catch is, to save battery it turns off all wireless signals. It also forces the device into deep sleep as well.
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
well i wouldn't want ALL wireless signals to be disrupted. How would i receive phone calls lol
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
Yea, if you get the paid version you can create custom profiles. It's a nice app for a tablet, but only so nice for a phone.

I'm using Trinity ELP file "ELP-G2x-06022012.zip", which has worked best for me as my G2X doesn't work that well with faux-based kernels. I'm also running dual boot with Maz's awesome JB rom with hardware acceleration - this is where I install games and experimental apps.
