Hearing aid icon....
You must have had the hearing aid option ticked before flashing. You can check to see if that setting exists in that rom or not, I am not sure. You'll have to speak to the dev or someone in the thread to see how to get it off if the setting isn't there.

I bet your right. I did have that enabled on the stock rom. I do not see it in the settings now.
I wish I could get rid of it.
Hearing aid...most people enable that have issues with the sound being low

Ok, this is driving me crazy.
There is no option to disable "Hearing Aid" in the Insert Coin Rom.
Here is what I have done so far trying to get rid of the icon:
Installed Revolution HD, Flashed " Superwipe" etc. The icon showed back up after initial boot.
I then restored a nandroid of the stock rom, when to settings-call and unchecked the hearing aid option.
Next, I did superwipe again and did a fresh install of Android Revolution HD 1.18 and the icon is back.
Any suggestions?

Did you do a titanium restore to restore your settings as well as apps? If you restored the system settings, you could have restored the hearing aid setting inadvertently.
Try another rom first. I used both virtuous and now running leedroid. I still have the hearing aid options checked but they removed the icon. I see it flashing on and off. Anyone using your rom have the same issue?
Yep. Same issue which I previously thought wasn't a issue. Just thought it was related to something else as ROM has been the only stable one by far.

Weird, I read somewhere that certain devs removed that dreaded ear icon lol. I ran both virtuous and leedroid and I know for a fact that the hearing aid option is still on. Not sure what else one can do, sorry.
What version of virtuous where you on? Last one I tried was 1.3

Not that I'm aware of. It doesn't matter which rom that I install, how many times I wipe or super-wipe, it has always returned.
I seemed to have gotten rid of mine. I restored to stock ROM, shut it off, then super wiped and installed Android revolution. And its been gone so far.

I've been wondering how to get rid of this icon as well. Nothing I've done seems to get rid of it. I'm using Android Revolution 3.0 and everytime i do a boot the icon comes back. I did disable the hearing aid icon before I installed the ROM.
I wish one of the devs would chime in on this issue. I wonder if they are aware of it?

I am having the same issue with attn1's custom ROM
Doesn't happen on no sense revolution. But that could be because its built into the Rom itself.
you have to use the clock app that this installs to set your alarms. when you remove htclockscreen.apk you cant unlock your phone if your alarm goes off with the sense clock.
There's one thing I really like about GingerBread and that's the CRT animation. For some reason, HTC removed this cool feature from all Sense based GB ROMs.
This is my first Inspire ROM. I've been using various HTC GB WWEs with my own tweaks for months now, but now that the Official AT&T base is leaked, I decided to throw my hat in the ring.
Start with Stock HTC AT&T 2.47.502.7; strip the bloat; add ro.secure=0 to ramdisk; add custom kernel with OC/UV and optimizations; add busybox, su and Superuser.apk to system; stir in deodexed app and framework; add apns.xml for tether; then add a dash of modified services.jar to get CRT animation. Bake at 350F for 20 minutes. Serves one.
Very clean mostly stock experience but with CRT on/off animations.

Instructions: Download to SDCard and flash from CWM recovery. Depending on what ROM you were running prior, you may need to wipe data, but I got away without it and kept my apps intact. If you don't wipe data, at least wipe cache and dalvik. If it has issues, then you'll probably have to wipe data too (sorry).

I used an apns.xml from a WWE Aria rom with some additions and changes to allow tethering. Unless AT&T has changed something, this should work for you.

The one released on 6.23.11 in the radio sticky.
In my opinion, it honestly doesn't matter what radio/RIL you use. I was going to suggest the same one that came with the RUU for the stock 2.47.502.7 (12.56.60.25_26.10.04.03), but I realized I'm using the radio from the latest Olleh/Korea Telecom (KT) ROM which is 12.59.60.26_26.11.04.21. Here's links to the Radio and RIL that I'm currently using with this, but whatever you are using now is probably fine:

This ROM is really quite extraordinary for an almost stock ROM. Fast & decent battery life for me so far. Not as good battery life as an AOSP ROM with a PUV script, but decent stuff.
My first time using the matching radio too. Seems to be giving me better signal than others I have tried.
If I could just figure out why some people can run Hulu+ on this ROM while I can't. I so want to be able to get my Misfits fix on my phone.

A lot of people forget that there's an Illinois beyond Chicago.
So I had to reboot my phone due to weird bugs and glitches. But now, everytime I factory reset it, it still has Enzola's unknown sources feature, yet lacking the button of htc updating. Can someone please help me? It runs Android 2.33 and Htc Sense 2.1
please, anyone? I don't even have the fast boot option.

The unknown sources option was initially removed by AT&T. It belongs there now. The HTC Update feature is removed in Gingerbread. Fastboot has been moved in the settings menu. It is now in the Power subsection.

Open the market and go into the help section. Under troubleshooting, it tells you how to update there. If that doesn't work, I will post the apk file for you, so you can manually update. Just let me know if you get it to update or not.

First of all yes I searched and I got nothing, I got my inspire with RCMix3d Runny v4.0 [Official runnymede sense 3.5 Android 2.3.5 and it keeps randomly boot looping at least once a day.I had set CPU set to 1.3 but I deleted the app and it still rebooting, does anybody know how to fix it? Its getting real annoying!
Sent from my Inspire 4G using xda premium
Well you may a PD98IMG.zip file on your root of the sd card.
Have you flash anything new or added any new apps that are CPU controlled? Also anything like uv scripts?
Sent from my Inspire 4G using xda premium
A pd98img in SD doesn't do anything if you dont boot into hboot.
My advice is either ask in the RCMix3D threads or try different kernels and UV scripts.
Its compleatly stock

Always do some research before posting!!!! I would say redownload the rom and reflash, might of been a corrupted download or a bad flash. always do a full wipe when switching roms, wipe data , cache and dalvic. if you undervolt dont go crazy the phone can only take so much undervoting before it starts freezing and randomly shutting off. hope this helps

Apparently I haven't posted enough to post in the ViperOneS thread. So I will try finding an answer here.
I flashed the OTA update and went from 2.1 to 2.2. Love the ROM! But it seemed very laggy, so I reverted back to 2.1 via a TWRP backup.
Is there a way to turn off the system update notification since I plan on staying with 2.1? I tried going to settings/applications/updater and unchecking notifications, but it's grayed out.
Thanks for the help.
Sent from my HTC One S using xda app-developers app
yes, you can, in the setting, go to about, software update, uncheck scheduled check. This should prevent it from checking the update
Sorry, I failed to mention that I did that also and rebooted the phone. It's gone for 30 seconds after reboot, but reappears after that.

Should be in q&a...and I know ur new but u can still search. If u search the thread u will see that u can fix ur lag by reapplying the skin as well as clearing data in the venom tweaks app and the other one. As for disabling the update part I have no idea. Maybe disable notifications for the app that does it.

Solution found: after "unchecking" the check for updates, settings/applications(all)/updater and then "clear data"
It all seems so obvious, now that I've figured it out.
