Compose txt msgs with my voice? - HTC Inspire 4G

What app should I get to compose txt msgs with my voice?
Sent from my Inspire using XDA Premium App

Hold down search and say send text to.... Or just send text. You can speak the name of the person and your message in the compose box.

With the other roms there was a microphone icon on the Search widget now I have none. So I think something is missing or not set up properly.

You have a capacitive button that has a search icon, use it. Hold it down as suggested.

Yeah.
For anyone who didn't know, you can use the google voice app to make calls.
The way it works is you "call" someone with the app, and then google voice calls you and the person you're calling, and connects you.
Due to our provider allowing unlimited incoming calls, you can make all your calls for free.
I personally don't do this, as I can't possibly burn through 1000 minutes in a month anyway.
What's really cool is you can have it automatically use the app when you dial any number not in your exceptions list and set its quite hours for nights and weekends. The calls receiver still sees your number.

Lol I would take out your number. Some trolls might prank you on your Google voice.
Anyways, what does your General settings look like, make sure you have SMS to mobile unchecked.

Lol I think that's your Google voice number, well that's where my Google voice number shows.
You should be able to start a new conversation and reply to received texts. If you have a text plan with your mobile number, send test messages to google voice from it or vice versa. That's how I did it.

Are you on a carrier that doesn't have voice mail for some reason?
Google voice is an answering machine and will let you read your messages like a text instead of listening.

Yes, but its not as feature packed as it is in JB and ICS. Google voice search and Car Home both use voice commands to send texts and make calls, but its pretty shotty on whether it works or not. I sometimes use it within the MMS app just to type the message and it works surprisingly well for that. Basically until we see ICS, we will not be shouting at our phones like everyone else.

Voicemail notification

Hello. I have this big question. It's burning my insides. My voicemail notification keeps telling me I have a voicemail. Yet I call and it tells me there is none. At all, and Its making me mad as hell. And yes I trolled the hell out of the internet to find a solution... only found a temporary one which is clear the phone app data. Which the notification reappears reappears after a random reboot. So I come to you with my problem, asking you how the funk do I fix this shizzle.

Try leaving yourself a voicemail from another phone, then listening to it.
Also, in dialer, press menu button to go to settings then set back your voicemail number to your number. That can also help.
Voicemail notification (icon) is carrier related/supported. Call your carrier to check/complain.
Manage application /all/phone, clear data & cache.
