Hi there,
I hate the new sensation lockscreen as it doesnt allow me to show sms/ gmail unread [or does it?] so has anyone got a sensation lockscreen with no icons?
cheers
Probably you removed them by accident? go to Personalize -> Lock Screen -> Settings, there you should be able to add whatever icons you want to your lockscreen.

Is there any way to modify the icons that are displayed on the lockscreen? I bought bettercut for that purpose, but it seems that I can't use it to change the icons on the lockscreen itself, just make shortcuts with new icons.

Menu -> Settings -> Personalize -> Lockscreen -> chose the lockscreen you want then press "settings" Form here, you should be able to change the icons.
I'm no longer running GB so the above is from memory.
Also, if you're using another launcher, you have to go back to the Sense launcher to make the change. Once you change it, you can go back to your launcher of choice.

I don't think the op is talking about just changing the shortcut but more so the icon that is displayed for that shortcut.
This is just an example but something like instead of the stock gmail icon maybe a happy face.

Sense 3.0 is great and all, but every time I unlock the screen, it tries to show some cheap little weather animation, is there a way to disable this? I have dug through some settings but to no avail.
Touch and keep holding the clock/weather widget
Drag it onto "Edit"
Select your city
Remove the checkmark on "Show full sceen animation"
An alternative would be deleting the mentioned widget.
Hopefully I was able to help you with my first post on xda-developers.com...

Cheap weather animation?? Do you know that almost all other android phones are dying to have the smoothness of that what you called cheap weather on the S4G... Anyways, im not sure I understand where you are seeing the weather animation but here are the possible solutions:
1) If you are trying to disable the weather lockscreen, then just choose another lockscreen. (Personality > Lockscreen > Choose anything other than weather)
2) If you are trying to disable the live weather wallpaper, then just choose another wallpaper that isnt weather (personalize > Wallpaper > HTC wallpapers for example)
3) If you are trying to disable the weather animation caused by the flip clock, then from within your home screen, tap and hold the clock and drag it down to Edit. Select current location (if desired) then uncheck (Show Full screen animation)
Good luck to you...

This did the trick, thanks very much!
Thanks. I wouldn't call it cheap but it is annoying for sure. Nice to show off but gets old quick.

Hello
I would like to use the HTC Sense Toggle Widgets on a HTC phone with an open source home screen replacement. The "Settings" option does not show on the list of widgets
Does anyone have the right settings (componentname etc) that I would need to add to the AppWidgetPicker call from my alternate (ADW) homescreen?
Thanks!

I used No-Sense++ to clean my phone (S-OFF) and got a problem:
After all i can not customize the Sense-Lockscreen Startapps cause of a missing "Customize" Icon in my launcher settings since i use GO Launcher Ex.
I tried to get into the Lockscreen Settings through "Settings" -> "Customize (Personalisieren in german) but the menu item does not start and i am back on my homescreen.
Is there another way to get into the lockscreen settings?
thx for reading

when on the home screen you should be able to press the menu button and a bunch of options will appear you should see settings and/or preferences there.. should be about to sort something out from there
No it is not .
That's why I ask for an alternative way to configure it. I know the standart ways of doing so. Sorry if this sounds rude... I am xxxxx that I cannot configure it.

You can't access the Personalize on launchers. It just takes you back to home screen. have you tried using widgetlocker app?
Just tested it. That's not what I want
Anybody any clue where HTC saves the settings?

I managed to activate lockscreen widgets by ticking the box at Settings -> Security -> Allow Widgets. I know placed the Chronous widget on the lockscreen but I don't see any calendar entries since the widget is not maximized. I remember on CM there was an option for that. Where can I find it now?
