I updated to Infused v2.0.1 and shortly after I discovered my Samsung Apps no longer works. I am not sure if this is a coincidence or not. The actual error message states "Service unavailable, error code 1000"
Does anyone else have this problem or know what has happened??
I'm assuming this may be a compatibility issue.
You'll want to post this in the Q&A section next time though.

Is anyone else having issues with the xda app force closing? it just started today as did my scorecenter app not being able to connect to the internet. I have not done anything lately except for Google maps updating.
any ideas why or any solutions?
I fc on searches Since I upgraded the app today.
My XDA app fc's every time I do a search or try to view a post. It was working all morning then all of a sudden it force closed. I'm running SR'S sense 3.1rc.
Does anyone know where I can find the old xda app to use until the new gets updated?
EDIT: I just tried viewing posts without signing in and it worked; no fc. Maybe the app developers can look into that aspect.

"Results may vary."
I restored a system backup from a few days ago and then updated XDA again and everything seems to be working now. Time will tell.

If you guys have ROM Manager, try fixing permissions. That does the trick for me.

Any ideas why?

Depends on the rom. Not every rom is supported. Redemption rom I know is not.
Going to settings > about phone > software update > software update check results in an error every time - failed connection. Anyone else experience this?
Thanks

I'm getthing this as well, the other day I was getting an authentication error instead. I've been checking a few times a day just for giggles to see if there's any updates. Perhaps this "connection failed" is an indicator something is about to happen?
I've gotten both of those errors ever since the phone was released. I wouldn't read into it too much.

It looks like according to LG website you need to download the phone software and connect your phone to a PC\MAC and check\install software updates that way.
http://www.lg.com/us/support/mc-support/mobile-phone-support.jsp
I get the same thing.
Does it have anything to do with being rooted?
Everyone gets this error. It simply means that no update is available.

I just tried a fix i saw posted in another thread and it seemed to work but then it asked me to update the app. After I did it broke again and if I try to ignore the update the app simply closes.

I installed the myverizon.apk file in this link and the app comes up but then I get a "Update" or "Cancel" prompt. Update takes you to the market and installs the app which will then cause the error again, and cancel simply closes the app.
PS. I could've sworn this said that it worked for 300 error, but now that I read it again, it says 305. I thought I saw something that said to try installing the VzwSigSSOEngine.apk, so maybe that was how I ended up getting there...
Either way, link is below. Let us know if you figure something out...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1113323
Installing only the VZWsigSSOEngine.apk will prevent only one of the errors, but may still cause the other error. You need to install 4 files (within /system/app/), which I've included below. Then grab My Verizon from the android market. I tested this on 4 different roms on Froyo. Haven't tried it on Gingerbread. Seems to work, even on debloated rom too.

It doesn't solve both errors, just one. You need other files and not just one.
Here's the gtalk with video chat everyone's been waiting for, just install like a regular apk file. Developer information is in the app with instructions on how to install. DO NOT DELETE ORIGINAL GTALK APP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I get a "Parse error"
"There is a problem parsing the package."
Is there a specific ROM design to run this?
Stock ROM or any GB?
Thanks
FYI, this installer is available in the Market as "Talk 1.3 Installer".
I'm running infused 2.1 and it worked fine for me. I didn't know it was on the market though.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using XDA App
Also, since Serendipity VII usually comes without GTalk installed unless you hit the "addons" section of Mikey's site, the "backup" function of the app won't work.
However the installation function works fine.
Installed... and seems to work fine!!! Running on Infused 2.1.0!

I can't find the installer in the market.
Maybe it was pulled.
It's still there, I just saw it " talk installer"

I, Too got the parse error. Hmmmmm
hmmmm, must have got pulled again, I see nothing at all regarding Talk 1.3, or talk installer etc.
i searched "talk 1.3" on market.android.com and found it just fine and pushed the install to my phone. installed just fine and works great.
Serendipity Infuse v7
Downloaded and installed successfully from the attached file. Checked the market, and talk 1.3 is there.
Quick question though, you have to be on WIFI to use the video feature? It wouldn't let me unless i was on WIFI
I to am Running Serendipity 7
..the backup wont run but the Install is Flawless..thanks man. -
Doesn't work. Parsing error...
app needs more work
ima dummy
I'm learning and I tore the web up researching but heres my question:
on my rooted phone, all I need to install is talk 1.3, and as the instructions call for, I need the phone to be rooted and to have busybox installed, is that right? Thanks for responding to this noob questions

Good morning. On my Galaxy Note 10.1 32GB, I can no longer successfully login to Samsung Media Hub. When I attempt to, I get this error: "System Error Occurred. Please try again later." I don't believe it's an incorrect password issue because when I try to login with a wrong password, it's a different error, and will read: "Login Failed - Incorrect Password."
I did a chat with the Samsung support group and he told me to reset the router and that will fix the issue. It didn't, and I'm not sure that gentlemen knew what he was talking about anyway.
If anyone has any advice, I would really appreciate it.

Thank you for the reply and question. I don't know how to answer that. Is there anything I can tell you from the settings that would tell you I'm rooted or not?
I'm sure it's not rooted, but I did change some setting in the My Files app where it said /root/sdcard. I changed it to /root/extsdcard. I think I changed it back correctly but still no dice with the login to Samsung Media Hub. Again, thank you for trying to help me.

Thanks. I've been able to login to Samsung.com w/o problem. So my account looks good. I just can't login anymore from my tablet. I used to be able to but no longer. No idea?
