Hi guys,
I am starting this to gie you different icon colours in your status bar so you can enjoy a colourful status bar rather than the boring old grey icon that Sony Ericsson give us.
For now i am only doing the icon that are stock and not changing the icon itself but messing with the colour profiles to change there colours.
THIS IS FOR STOCK ROM AND WOLFS ROM v4.x.x. IF YOU FLASH AND HAVE PROBLEMS DONT COME RUNNING TO ME AND START FLAMING AND WHINING. JSUT EXPLAIN POLITELY AND YOUR EXACT PROBLEM IN DETAIL SO I CAN GET ON IT ASAP OR YOU WILL BE REPORTED. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
I am using Achotjans base that he started with the green wifi and data icons when connected to google. All credits go to him as he started this idea and started the icon mods. Thank you achotjan. I take no credit for his idea.
First up is one i modded with the icon being the colour in the list:
2.3.3_SystemUI-framework-res_MOD:
Bluetooth- changed icon to blue (BLUEtooth, get it)
USB connected- changed icon to green
USB debugging- changed icon to red
Phone in vibrate mode- changed icon to yellow
Phone in silent mode (no vibrate)- changed icon to red
Wifi connected to google- still green 'thanks to achotjan'
Signal bars connected to google- still green 'thanks to achotjan,
GPS- icons hae been changed to red when connected and green when not connected so i have to change them around but they look cool when they flash red, green
Just flash using recovery to install. Please give feed back on which roms they work and not. This has only been tested on stock 2.3.3 and TripNArc from modaco. Let me know which ones it works so i can put in the op for people to know.
I am not responsible for anything that may happen to your phone. You know the risks with flashing

any backup for stock framework through xrecovery? cause if i need stock framework?
Really nice, but missing a battery percentage. Maybe the one that we can found in the nice utima 2.3 rom can be a choice.
Just in case, if I want back the original status bar, what file do I have to back up?
Themes and app section?
-pilot- does this need moving?
EDIT: nice work though...sorry I didn't mention that earlier

No you will not lose his. I am using his as a base like I said in the op. I have kept that Google connected green icon and just modified others. Here is what to expect in next MOD. I have changed the icons for:
1: GPS- changed icons to green connected, red not connected
2: Progress bar- changed the colour to lightning blue.
3: Charging icon on lockscreen- changed icon to electric blue
4: Voicemail notification- changed icon to red
5: Message icon in lockscreen- changed icon to green
6: In call Bluetooth headset connected volume- changed to blue
7: Volume icons in volume box- changed speaker when sound green and speaker no sound red and vibrate icon amber.
There is still more to come and also I will add two apps Gmail and Conversations app where icon colours have been changed aswell. Screenies tomorrow.

I dont know as I do my own experiments on my own stock Rom so honestly cant say. I have heard people saying just flash or install the systemui.apk and not the framework-res.apk otherwise it will cause bootloops but I have also seen people saying it does work so my guess is as good as yours. You could always test it for me and make sure you make a backup before you do just in case you need to restore and let me know so I can say in the op. I need people to give me feedback on what roms it works and dont.

also other things I'd like to change would be the notification bar background to stock instead of transparent
And a stock battery icon, w.o the percent sign,
Any help would be appreciated, Thanks
Hi BoBCaTRoM,
Just like to say Thank You! for the great rom, love what you have done and will be donating for the good work you and your colleges have created
Anyways I have a question and sorry if already answered but I cant find related post. I just updated to you new Mod fix with 3minit 3.4 from your mod section and notice after successful update that the status bar colours have changed to a green and white colour.
All of the notification section have changed to green and not original blue (which I prefer) The clock on the status bar is white and so has the wifi signal colour changed to white.
I tried to change under 3minit but not successful. I was wondering if you have a default settings (original bobcat theme) with new updates or a way to revert back to all blue theme without the green?
I noticed in mod section there is a restore but I loose 3minit update and some of the extra notification buttons (reboot, power off ).
Another question I have is regarding CRT-OFF Not sure if thats exactly whats cause it but when I press my off button and press restart I dont get the option for rebooting in Recovery or Download mode only restart. I keep my animation scale to 1.5 cause I read that this might be a cause but has not solved the problem.
How can I get Recovery and Download mode as a option for restarting?
Sorry if this is any way confusing, please let me know and ill try to explain a bit better or with screen shots.
Thanking you in advanced and loving your work

I've been looking for a way to do this for a while and I figured out a work around
What you will need
-xposed installer
-a module called tinted status bar
First install the module and reboot ... Now go into the module and go to settings UNCHECK respect kitkat api
... Then go to Google in the apps list and change all activities to number 0000000 in both nav and status bar.... The find the lock screen app and do the Same the result should be this

This works for the Navigation Bar but not for the Notification Bar
This did the exact opposite of what I wanted it to do. Instead of removing the gradient, it removed the entire bar but kept the gradient (I'm using xblast to make my bars solid). I'll post a screenshot if I get a reply.

You haven't posted what you want to do in this thread, so I'm answering out of context.
This makes the bar transparent. That's what the first 00 means. You could replace that with ff to make it solid. If you're modifying with xblast too, you'll likely conflict.
This should remove the gradient under normal circumstances
Edit... I've tested and confirm the below works also with Nova launcher
1) installing the module allows the status bar colour to be determined by the app that is open. E.g. tapatalk with dark theme makes status bar Grey. Chrome makes it white. Nova makes it black
2) untick respect kitkat api is what stops kitkat enforcing the gradient.
3) select your launcher (for me, Nova) then set the status bar colour to what you like in "all activities". Most people just want rid of gradient but want to keep transparency so the 00000000 is selected. Otherwise it will default to whatever the launcher decides which for me was black

Let me elaborate: I used XBLAST to make my status and navigation bars solid (stat=orange, nav=white). However, the gradient that is usually there actually extends beyond the normal height of both bars, leaving a small amount of gradient visible on my wallpaper (whose top half is the same value orange and bottom is pure white). What I'm left with is (bottom up) white, grey, white, orange, dark orange, orange. What I want is to remove that left over gradient and make the bottom half of the entire screen white and the top half entirely orange.
Though, now that I think of it, I can get rid of XBLAST and just use this to remove the gradient, while extending my background to the very top and bottom of the screen. (as long as it actually removes the gradient)
But if you have a solution (besides that) I'd like to hear it as well.
Thanks for making me think.

It's only the "respect kitkat api" part you need. The problem is, this app colours the status bar according to the app that is in focus on your screen too. You can set default colours for when the app is not colouring the status bar so you could set that orange. You can also turn off 3rd party apps from changing the status bar colour.
The gradient itself shouldn't extend beyond the status bar so maybe you just need to use something other than xblast to colour your status bar?
PS... I never used this app before. I don't care about gradient but I love it now. It's like PA colours but I can back up the settings now.

1) I'm assuming the reason it was extending was because I used it along with xblast, and like you said they conflicted. I'm disabling it now to see what happens.
2a) I'm running PAC, (just installed this weekend) would it have PA colours in it? I haven't checked, but if I can do this without using xposed at all, that's even better.
2b) Since I'm running PAC and it's a nightly, I'm getting FCs every time I go into app settings (aka can't clear data that way), so it's getting kind of tricky to revert my settings for this app (again nightly, I have a bug where the text stays in the background while scrolling, making it difficult to read).
I'm about to leave work, I'll reply with how it went later.
I haven't used PA since JellyBean so I'm not sure if per app settings still exist. I assume they do.

I've done everything here besides the Google part. Can you explain what is meant by "Google"? I have Google Search, GSF, Google Play Services, but not just "Google". I am on PAC if that helps. And my launcher is Launcher3 (which I hate, along with half of this AOSP crap. Their Google Keyboard is the worst kb I've ever used /rant).
And if anyone knows if it's possible to do this just with PAC settings, I'd appreciate knowing how.
He means the google launcher. Assuming that's the launcher you use.

I just did a bunch of changes, and I found a few things.
1) I can not get the gradient to go away, no matter what I change. I have followed these directions exactly, then cleared data, rebooted, and tried again, and yet the gradient remains.
2) The gradient is absolutely without a doubt longer than the nav and status bars. Using only this app, I was able to make the nav bar (but interestingly NOT the status bar) solid white, and yet I can still clearly see the gradient. It seems almost that it is built in to both the Google Now Launcher and Launcher3.
3) Like stated above, I can not get the status bar to change. I don't know if it is (again) something built into the launchers, but it just won't turn solid (or transparent). However, opening recent apps will turn it solid.
4) Even after turning off respect KitKat API, the status bar changes color based on the app I'm using.
I've decided to use Nova Launcher. It works, so I'm good.

Here it is... Ladies and Gents, I bring you the ColorForce Theme
This is strictly notification and status bar icons. Nothing more, nothing less.
This should be compatible with most ROMs, I personally have only tested it with TriForceROM. However, if your current ROM already has SystemUI modifications, it's possible that it might not work properly and cause bootloops and/or System UI crashes. I'm not responsible for your device, you flash this at your own risk. Always have a backup.
Here's the run down:
This flash is completely customizable. Simply flash the zip file and you'll come to the AROMA installer and be greeted with lots of options. each option has a preview icon next to it to see what it will be modifying, but I will also eventually upload pictures of them all to see here as well.
Your first selection screen, you can pick which icons you wish you modify. the selections are as follows:
Battery Icons - These include 1% Incremental Battery Mod
Signal Icons - Phone Signal Strength Icons
Data Icons - Data Icons (1X, 3G, 4G LTE)
Data Activity Icons - In/Out Mobile Data Activity Icons
Wi-Fi Icons - Wi-Fi Signal Strength Icons
Quick Toggles Icons - TouchWiz Quick Toggles Icons
Bluetooth Icons - Bluetooth Icons
Misc Icons - Misc Icons (Alarm, GPS, etc.)
If you do not select an option, you won't be prompted to change it, and it won't change in your current configuration, this makes it very convenient to change something small. Let's say you have a decent theme setup, but you just want to change the battery icons.. well instead of changing anything or having to go through and select all the same options again... you simply put a check in only the battery icons and then pick your battery. It leaves the rest of your System UI in tact and simply changes the battery icons. Or maybe you only want to change the Wi--Fi and Data icons, but NOT change anything else, same thing, just select those two options, and it will only prompt you for those selections and only change those icons. Neat, right?
Now, moving along to the next step... if you selected to change the Battery Icons, you'll be prompted with the selection for the following Battery Types. The 1% battery mod is included in this theme, so you don't have to already have it installed or anything. Each selection has a preview icon next to it, so you can see what you're selecting.
Blue Circle
Castaway
Circle
ColorForce Theme
Honeycomb
Horizontal
Stock
Tacho
Two Bars
White
If you select ColorForce Battery, you will then be able to choose the color of the battery health gauge. Those colors are Green, White, Blue, Red, Pink, Purple, Yellow and Orange, and again, each one has a preview icon.
After you select your Battery, you will then be prompted for what's asking you do you want to change all the icons to the same color. This is simply asking you this: For the selections you picked from the first screen, (other than the battery) do you want them all to be the same color or not. Example: if you select Wi-Fi and Signal icons and nothing else and you want them both to be Blue, you'd say yes here and then select Blue at the next screen. Or if you selected them ALL and you want everything to be Pink, just tap yes and then tap Pink. This will skip having to pick the same color multiple times.
But this is where the major customization comes in... you can select them separately and have so many different combinations of colors! Simply press no here and you'll then be prompted for each individual option after this point.
Every single selection from here on out has 9 different colors to pick from. Again those are Green, White, Blue, Red, Pink, Purple, Yellow and Orange, and Stock. Stock is not a color but the actual Stock icons, so you can always return to ground zero if you like.
The final option is whether or not you want to have a transparent Notification Menu pull down. Some people like this, some people don't. This will make it a 50% transparent background. It removes the background of the quick toggle icons as well.
After you've selected all those options, you simply install it from this point. It will take your current SystemUI.apk file and mod it with the selections.
Again, you can always go back to stock by simply putting a check in all boxes, selecting the stock battery and selecting yes to all colors and then selecting stock.
Screenshots are available in the second post, I'll eventually build all the icons sets and post those as well.
Here's the download for the first version, 1.1 -> http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23329332407571189
Screenshots Attached.
And one more, just in case.
Man we are lucky (as a community) to have you. Thanks for all your efforts!

I believe Xposed will over ride most systemUI mods
Pretttyyy sure the only thing Xposed won't over ride is 3Minit. Otherwise, yes, as Cerj said, it will most likely override other system UI mods. Test it out by uninstalling (or just unactivate) the Xposed Modules that make changes to the system UI, then flash this theme!
I tried flashing the circle battery. When I rebooted, I had stock battery with percent. I do run xposed and figured that that must be the problem. I uninstalled and tried again. Same result.

Sorry to say, no.
I haven't heard any success stories, which concerns me here, I see that the people that have tried this are running the custom frameworks, which I've been told doesn't work with this type of theme'ing.
Has anyone else had any luck with it?

I now have a working Aroma installer with all the mods below and more. Thanks to @Diesel_Jeremiah for testing them for me. Like the instructions below, in the Aroma you must flash one of the base first. One has stock WiFi-Data icons, the other has up-down traffic arrows included. After that you can install the others in any order and without rebooting. If you ever do reboot there is no need to flash base again unless the Aroma installer has been updated.
Center clock aod versions take the system icons off aod but leave center clock on it. The regular center clock options are the opposite.
The Aroma's come with the following options:
Clock mods
Internet speed indicators
3Minit Mod
Enabled stock WiFi-Data in-out arrows
One percent batteries
Battery percent on AOD
Navbar height adjustment 30-48 dip
Colored statusbar icons
Colored Navbar Icons
Colored Notification Backgrounds
Colored Notification Text
Colored QS backgrounds
Colored QS text
3,4,5,6,7 column QS tiles
Navbar swap of back and recents
Invisible power menu button in far right hand corner of statusbar. Tap closes the screen, long press brings up the power button menu.
Remove carrier text
Remove NavBar completely with 3,4,5,6,7 column QS options.
Invisible home button on far left of status bar option for LMT or other mods that might not start as intended.
Ability to add your own custom NavBar icons:
Instructions:
Make a folder on your sdcard called "custom"
Put the NavBar Icons of choice in it. Don't forget "dark" ones if you want them to change color on light background
If the Icons are material by google, select the option corresponding to your Navbar height. If they are not material, flash "custom icons with no padding" (last option under Navbar height). In order to swap icons you will have to go back and flash aroma again and flash either navbar swap with corresponding navbar height if they are material or custom navbar swap, (last option under Navbar swap) if not material.

TWRP themes. I did not make these themes but I changed the color and modified the XDA ones to work with dual boot pixel phones. Unzip and put a "theme" folder directly inside the TWRP folder on your sdcard. Inside the theme folder put the ui.zip of your choice. They are from this thread:

Transparent - This is untouched by me as it was already dual slot ready. You can upload the background png file of your choice. Click a button rather than swipe when installing.
Would love a centered clock. How does one go about installing this? Sorry if I missed something.
Do they work on the 2 XL too?

Got it, thanks!
I have my 32 dip navbar again like I did on my old pixel.
Thank you very much!
I notice the downloads say "for the Google Pixel(sailfish), by Tulsadiver"
Since this does not say for Walleye, has anyone tried them to verify they work on the Pixel 2?
Edit:
Flashed base
Black notification background
White text
Working wonderfully.
EDIT 2:
Your aroma installer from here is working as well.

I appreciate so much your trying this and confirming it works. I don't have this phone so I never know until someone confirms it for me.

Of course. Happy to help.
I did hit a bootloop.
On my second phone, I flashed the base (TWRP zip install).
Then when I flashed only with the aroma:
1 Black notifications
2 White text
3 Right clock w/ day & ampm
Bootloop.
What finally worked was:
1 Base (TWRP zip install)
2 Black notifications (TWRP zip install)
3 White text (TWRP zip install)
4 Reboot
5 Aroma > Right clock w/ day & ampm
Is there a way to remove the battery icon while keeping percentage? Also, change battery percentage to green when charging?

Yeah, I noticed that too.
It also shows up during the always on display.
Other than that the mods are working well.

Could you change the battery icon to the lightning bolt that shows next to the clock on the lock screen, and have it show when charging? That way the color doesn't need to change, yet there would be an indicator that the phone is charging.
IE:
Not charging = battery percentage
Charging = battery percentage & lightning bolt
