Hi Everyone,
Any one got this already:
http://www.easydevices.co.uk/pp/T-M...OMPACT_IV_OFFICIAL_EXTENDED_LIFE_BATTERY.html
It says: In Stock
Can anyone please share some views about performance (GPS,camera, etc.)?
And, what is the most important, does it significantly improve everyday device life?
Thanks.
ooo nice, though that is alot of money for only 1/3rd increase in power,
hi,
yeah, I personally think the price is horrendous.
that is why I want to check whether it`s worth that price.
For £50 you can get 10x 900mAh batteries plus charger ;-))
actually a 50% increase in battery life. i have the Dianond version - well worth the money in my opinion.
Is there anybody who knows when to buy in Germany?

Ok,
I was waiting long enough now, hoping I will get cheaper one from eBay.
I`ve found only 1 seller offering 1800 mAh with ugly humpy cover, so I`ve decided to go for Expansys original one.
Ordered on 1st of Jan, paid £62 with delivery (bit expensive, but I`ll put it on as the Xmas present for myself ), expecting it tomorrow.
I`ll put some photos probably tomorrow evening and put few words about its performance later on (I need to test it first).
Happy New Year to all!

Expansys runs the business all around the world, I`m sure what they offer in the UK is available in Germany as well.
There you go mate: http://www.expansys.de/p.aspx?i=171125
It is 63.99 Euro + delivery.
Cheers.
If I have the T Mobile version (MDA) and I got the Diamond back cover... would it fit?

Hi,
No, I`m affraid it won`t fit. MDA Compact IV has rounded corners, while Diamond is strict rectangle.
There were a few threads about it already.
Hi,
Got this one from GPSforless
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....name=STRK:MEWNX:IT&viewitem=&salenotsupported
and it fits the MDA Compact and the GPS seems to work.
Will post once I have used it a bit.

Hi,
Did a Tom Tom test today. Basically Tom Tom running in demo mode, but with a GPS signal (varied from 3 to 6 sats), backlight on auto. GPRS was on and email was downloading every two hours, weather every hour. Got a total of 5.5 hours. Battery percentages for each hour shown below.
1.93%
2.64%
3.55%
4.44%
5.20%
I did a test with the standard battery before and it was about 2.5 hours.
My MDA Compact III used to get only 4.5 hours so with the extended battery the MDA Compact IV is actually better!!
The extra bulk may be an issue for some I suppose, though I will mainly use this battery for GPS use on my bike. The normal battery usually runs okay for me on day to day use of the phone.

OK, I`ve been using this extended battery for 10 days now.
With 10 texts, 20 minutes of calls a day and 3G switched off it lasts for 3 full days (72h), which I find is very good, compared to 30h on original battery.
The new cover looks very good. It has black/mate finish and has got an ornament (see photos).
My MDA Compact IV is about 3mm thicker and a bit heavier, but it hasn`t lost his sleek and flat look, which was the reason I bought MDA Compact not Daimond. Also, I`ve got a feeling that new size and weight makes it is laying better in my hand.
I had to go for another car holder. First, I though that my Compact with new battery (thicker) will fit into cradle for Touch Pro, but NOT, it was too loose.
So, I`ve bought universal one that will fit from small Nokia to big PDA (can give link to ebay seller, if anyone is interested).
I think the new battery+cover is worth its money.
Cheers.
more photos
here are more photos chaps.
I forgot to add:
It is ORIGINAL HTC extended 1340mAh battery with new back cover, especially for T-Mobile MDA Compact IV.
Very good quality, not cheap HK stuff. And NO AWFUL HUMP!
GPS works OK, absolutely no change compared to the original 900mAh.
No other issues noticed.
I`ll keep you updated when I notice anything.
Very helpful, thanks Tom - I think I might go for this. From where did you purchase the battery/cover? Also, do you have the original HTC pouch - does it still fit inside?
Thanks

Hi,
There are two on-line shops offering these extended capacity batteries:
Easydevices - http://www.easydevices.co.uk/pp/T-M...OMPACT_IV_OFFICIAL_EXTENDED_LIFE_BATTERY.html
Expansys - http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=171125
I went for one with Expansys, it is a bit dearer than Easydevices one, but I found Expansys more trustworthy and besides if you look at "Easydevices Terms & Conditions", you will notice that if you (for some reason) have changed your mind and want to send it back, they will deduct 20% as a "administration charge", so they will refund price minus 20%, which you can calculate yourself easily.
I didn`t know what I`m gonna get buying over the net, in terms of quality and peformance, cos I couldn`t find any opinions, nor feedback.
So in case, I didn`t like it I went for Expansys one, they don`t do such a "small print tricks".
It will fit original pouch, but for me it`s a bit too tight, especially when someone is calling you and you strugling to take it out to answer.
I`m using "temporary" pouch at the moment - it is SonyEricsson`s and still looking for a nice sleek leather one that will fit my new fatty toy.
That looks sleeker than my "hump" back. Although I personally wanted the double capcity so it does not bother me so much.

Yeah, but there is no photo and it doesn`t even say what kind of backcover is included - with ugly hump or flat?
Is there any one, who went for it, to share some info?
I received mine for my mda C.IV last monday and after a week of use, it was worth every penny. It took a day or 2 to get use to the 3mm addition but i now get 2-3 days use out of my phone between charges were before i barley got 1. Highly advise everyone with battery issues to get one!!!
I've been looking everywhere for a genuine original HTC Desire battery, but it seems impossible to find them! I've even ordered an expensive one from an eBay seller, but it's just a fake, which looks very similar on the front side but has different backside. It says "Manufactured by Formosa Electronic" in very small text.
Do you have experience that which of these sellers are posting genuine HTC batteries from Amazon?

Or should I just buy the German PolarCell from eBay?

Have you been able to recently find a genuine HTC battery for normal price, like around 10 pounds?
It's funny that you ask because I have been looking for a battery today. I found this website that appears to be genuine http://www.htcaccessorystore.com/uk/p_htc.aspx but it isn't cheap (about £35).
I'll look forward to the feedback on your other options. I bought one for a Sony Xperia (not mine) for £8 from Amazon and it was fine, but the reviews for the Desire batteries don't look good.
Hi,
recently i bought a "geniue" Battery for my Desire on ebay from a german seller.
When it came, it appeared to be original, but when i installed it, it gave me constant voltage and temperature values. So it was a faked one. I sent it back and became one behaving exactly the same. So i got my money back.
The next one was on Amazon, but not directly from Amazon. It also looked original, but it didn`t fit perfectly and it didn`t even charge. I´m waiting for a replacement atm. I´m still hoping to get a good one. All were about 10 Euro
so 7 pound?

And the genuine one is 35 pound?
eBay 101 - lesson one - when something looks too good to be true, chances are it isn't.
Original one is around 30€ from registered reseller, 40€ HTC original
I think it's worth telling which seller did we buy from.
The fake which looked almost like the original was from "phonemarketuk" on eBay.
Now I've ordered one from "FoneM8store" from Amazon UK. I'll report when it arrives!
Before I was able to buy an original one from a seller for 7 pounds, so there is hope!
If there is nothing else, I think the best route is to go with PolarCell from Germany.
I´m not sure if it is allowed to post seller´s names here?
I tested the one from Amazon with my battery tester. It had about 1000mAh so the problem is not only the missing of values, but it has also less capacity than the original. Mine has about 1200mAh after 1.2 years.
But the worst was when i applied 5Volts to the Battery, it didnt switch off. So
this could be dangerous if anything in the charger circuit goes wrong.
Hi,
a few days ago the replacement was delivered. This one is original, and has about 1300mAh, so it seems that it was liing around some time.
But all in all ok, cost: 9,60€
Seller: WUSAR (who wants to give it a try)
on ebay, only boxed versions
I've got mine from amazon.de. After two sellers sold me fake ones (in a little plastic bag) for about 10 Euro I bought one directly from amazon. The result: I got a little HTC Box which a genuine battery for about 15 Euros. I dont think amazon.co.uk will sell you fake ones if you buy them directly from them.
Can you post a link? In Amazon.co.uk at least I've spend _ages_ looking for a genuine but there was none, and Amazon wasn't selling any directly.

Hi!
HTC SAV recommended me the HTC Accessory Store as the official HTC reseller. The battery for HTC Desire is expensive (~40 Euros) but I'm bored searching for the cheapest OEM one after being deceived from 2 reputated sellers (not on ebay) with fake ones.
Has anyone ever ordered the battery from that site (htcaccessorystore.com which is in fact Expansys company) ?
And the real question is : is that the genuine one that came with the phone and can be calibrated... ?
Thanks!
taobao.com in china, if you know chinese. but be careful, some batteries are second batteries

I think the conclusion was that the only way to get genuine battery is to buy from the main Amazon.de shop. Be careful, not to by from a reseller, but from the amazon.de seller. Also, on this page one of them is fullfilled by amazon and it says 100% original, it might work.

You can look for a AOONEN BB99100 BATTERY FOR DESIRE A8181 on ebay: I bought one 3 month ago and it is a very reliable battery, last the same as than the original one.
I'm very pleased with it.
I bought what i thought was authentic GS4 batteries, and from using them for two days I've deducted that they are counterfeit. The battery marked #1 is the genuine battery that came with my GS4, the battery maked #2 is one of several batteries that I've bought on Ebay. Neither of the batteries i bought will charge fully with the genuine GS4 spare battery charging system and neither battery works with NFC as advertised. Buyers beware of any GS4 batteries claiming to be OEM, unless it says genuine OEM and its looks like one on the right in the pic, don't buy it!

Damn!!! Wish I would have known about ectoo usa about a week ago. The other seller is ynfang2012 and I'm reporting them both to ebay and contacting pay pal to inform then of their fraud.
Pretty standard fake battery. I can see a slight indentation running from the start of the "A" in Samsung down between the C and the E of CE. This is probably part of the foam-rubber frame which houses a 750mah (if you're lucky) battery. If you can peel off the label that's probably what's inside. Even knowing this I've been stung. The seller usually has the sense to give a full refund to avoid negative feedback.
Edit - actually I see the numbers are the other way round. D'oh! So much for my career as a CSI..... :silly:
i said this so many times before but people buying OEM battery under $20 are going to be in for a surprise. there's that saying: you get what you pay for.
this doesn't just apply to the S4, there are fake labeled batteries out there for just about every phone..

when it comes from ebay; and a chinese seller, you can never be sure. lots of forgery in that part of the world.
This is news why? It's been happening for years. Still have fake Galaxy S batteries. If you think a brand spanking new battery from China or some odd 3rd party seller on Amazon for $7 is real, you deserve to get taken.

Exactly. The phone is new. OEM batteries won't be dirt cheap. In time they'll get down to the $15-20 range. 3rd party extended batteries from reputable companies tend to be good value. Anker makes some nice ones, usually a few hundred mah's over stock but fit with the stock cover. Just roam around on Amazon. They'll usually come with cheap universal battery chargers. I end up using them to charge a variety of batteries.

I've known this for a long time, if they claim an oem battery costs less than half of the original, and is not sold by a reputable source, bestbuy, (amazon llc direct) samsung etc...
the battery comes from china or Hong Kong, it's more than 99% to be fake.
phones have been my hobby since the startac days, been to Hong Kong many times, some times the fakes are easy to spot, nowadays, they can copy even the holograms.
Only best way to avoid counterfeits is to suck it up and only buy from reputable sources.:good:

Hello
On ebay i see them very often but havnt found any review of them.
Clicky here
They claim to be 3000 mAh but are also the cheapest. (2.80 euros so about 3.65 dollar or 2.40 pounds)
And all of them say galaxy s4 i9500 but i read everywhere that i9500 and i9505 have the same battery?
Would be awsome if i can get some info or revies about this item.
Thank you for your time and info

It's not actually 3000 mAh. It won't last as much as the stock battery, you can be sure of that. If you're lucky it gets close to stock, and it's no more than a decent replacement battery.
The only real known 3000 mAh battery is the ZeroLemon one, which sacrifices NFC and has a slight bulge on the back cover (but does fit properly).
Okay
Thanks, i dont understand how they are allowed to just lie like that.
But even if it is about same strenght as stock or a bit less for the price its still very good.
I just want a battery for when mine runs out and i'm not able to charge.
But i also get a bit afraid that it might damage the device or something.
So as a "smaller capacity" backup this would do ? or might it cause some damage?
Thanks again.
I had the same question a while ago... I would just invest a little more and buy the ZeroLemon one, then use stock one as replacement. It's well worth the extra money.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ZeroLemon-S..._Cell_Phone_PDA_Batteries&hash=item43bd602f7a
But if you insist, that one you showed will do good as a backup battery, just use it if you run out and need a replacement right away.

Yeah it should be the same one as he mentioned.
But amazon is not good for everybody.
For me by example.
I live in belgium and we dont have a amazon site we have to go to the french, german or UK site .
But yeah chances are big we pay a lot shipping costs.
If i order from amazon i have to pay around 5 dollars per item or something for shipping alone.
I bought a 3 pack of these along with a charger for $14 USD and they work well but aren't as long lasting as the stock battery. Still plenty great to keep on me. They are great and ensure I never need to be tethered to a wall like an iPhone user. I have gotten between 4 (when in bad reception and lots of camera use) and 18 hours out of the aftermarket batteries.
The one show selling by ts is probably Power brand. Most of these after market is much less than 2600mah, some even less than 2000 mah. Try buying established brands such as Anker or Zerolemon and you will be fine.

I recommend that.
But I would only get it from Amazon or some other site that has a better chance of having original samsung products and not fakes.
Most 3rd party battery makers, seidio, etc have been tested to be really at 80-90% of their true mah listing.
Not sure why that is the case.
1 day and 07 minutes with 3% left on the stock battery. This phone is amazing. I have it rooted on the Verizon ME7 Stock configuration and have most of the Verizon Bloatware frozen. I've even used it quite a bit during that time on Facebook, taking a few pictures, playing games, texting, making numerous phone calls and checking email using either WiFi or Mobile Data connectivity. :good:
I previously had the S3 and it didn't even come close to half this life.
I've just bought a used N910F and wanted to get myself some spare batteries and an external charger. I've just moved up from a Note 3 and previously, an S3 LTE and had multiple batteries for both, with external chargers and I'd like to get the same for the Note 4.
I'm based in the UK and so I'm somewhat limited to what products I can get hold of. I'd like to get one of the Samsung external charger but I was wondering - as these are just running from the mains charger that you're using to charge the phone, is there any issue buying one of the non-Sammy, generic ones? I'd assume that the charger takes care of any overcharging issues - is that correct? If anyone has a link to any cheap genuine Samsung units, I'd be very pleased to have a look. I found one for £30 at Amazon, but it's a 1-3 month wait!
As for spare batteries, I've always gone for the Anker batteries and found them pretty good, and it's looking as though that's the only option for me at the mo - Amazon have them for £14 shipped where as the Powercell units are over £18. Any genuine ones for around £20? I'm not about to waste my money on the ebay cheapies!
Thanks for your time guys! :fingers-crossed:
Amazon buy anker,mpj,etc
I just recently purchased a standard Samsung battery from Amazon - http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00VIK5DOY
Although there are cheaper options, I made sure that I selected the one that was sold by Amazon themselves on the basis that they are very unlikely to sell fakes - the one I got for £10.63 with next day delivery on Prime certainly seems genuine to me.

Thanks for getting back to me with an actual product. How is the battery holding up? I'm really happy with the Anker one I bought - I'm getting about 1.5 days of moderate use and 5+ hours of SOT between charges. I don't use NFC at the mo so I don't know if this supports it, but as things stand I'd be happy to get another one or two. Does anyone know how to tell if theses "genuine Samsung" batteries are indeed, genuine? I remember reading up on it when I had the Note 3 and it was really tricky visually.
What about these external chargers - anyone had any experience of the non-Samsung ones?

Well, I've bought, what's labelled as a "genuine samsung extra battery kit". It's currently charging the enclosed battery in the external cradle. I'll try it in the phone to check if the NFC works to be sure that the battery is a genuine Sammy one, but any ideas on how to check the charging cradle?
Just bought a replacement battery direct from the Samsung UK site - £25 but worth it for the peace of mind. Free delivery.
EDIT: Ordered at 5:00pm, it's now the next morning and my battery has arrived - great speed for free delivery! (Now, if only Samsung could get their firmware updates out as fast!)
EDIT: Genuine Samsung packaging (with the window on the front of the box, and a plastic container for the battery) and manufacture date of last month, so fresh off the assembly line
I've just charged up the battery that came in the "kit". Appearance wise it looks identical (but dont most of them?!) but I just tried it with NFC and that worked - I thought the fakes didn't have the NFC chip - or have some of them started adding it or have I just got a genuine one for a really good price?!
