removed Gtalk by mistake :(

i wanted some space in my phone so i was removing some blots.... i removed Gtalk and now i cant get it back.... can some one help me please? .... i would have never got rid of it if i knew how important it is ....
i rooted my Galaxy S 4G using super one click root

Look for bloater in the market, some have mentioned it here before. If that doesnt work out, ill check to see if I got it

i downloaded the recovery and placed it into system/bin and when i go to install a rom from rom manager, it says not able to verify update.zip! help please!

Ok make sure you are rooted. Then use your phone to download that zip. Extract it then go into extracted folder and move that to proper spot with root explorer. Make sure its set on ro and reboot and your good to go make sure u.reboot

I've forgotten to hit the tab before on my captivate before but all it did was tell me the recovery was read only when trying to paste.

Boot Animation Request?

I have the first one ready to test. This is exactly as it appears on the video.
To install:
Download the file, or files if you want the audio. Rename the animation file. Depending on the rom you are on, it could be bootanimation.zip or VZW_bootanimation.zip. Extract the mp3 from the android_audio.zip. Find your current boot animation one and rename this one to that exact name. Either rename or move your current boot anim, just in case you don't want this one. Now place the renamed file and the mp3 into the same folder you found the original one in. Again, depending on the rom, this could be in system/media or system/customize/resource.
Let me know how it works out for you guys. I will do a couple more versions of this also.

I'm not sure. You need root permission to write to system, not sure if astro has that. I know es file explorer does. I could make you a flashable zip if you can tell me where it goes in your Rom.

I am running shooter ROM by joelz the location is....open ROM zip file, system, customize, resource, and right there is the bootanimation zip file. I also like the audio as well. Do I have to reflash ROM after replacing the bootanimation?

Try es file explorer. They recently added root capabilities. Go to settings towards the bottom and turn on root explorer and mount system as rw. That should let you copy the boot to the right folder.

What do you mean reflash? The entire Rom? No.
Edit. I just reread our conversation. Are you trying to place it in the zip for the Rom that you downloaded? If so, why? Use es file explorer, go to system/customize/resources and place the file in there, not in the zip.

Recovery

Im trying to fix my sons mt4g, it needs stock recovery i think. Sd got corrupted, wont boot, we dont care if it loses root. Any advice?

reboot the phone into bootloader, (volume down, power)
hit yes when it asks you to update, and viola, you're now back to stock MT4G 2.2.1.
YOUR DATA WILL BE WIPED!

Download not supported on phone? ?

Download not supported on phone. I tried downloading a theme blue steel for humble 5 tells me download failed this type of file cannot be downloaded anyone know why this happened?

what rom are you using and what browser are you downloading it from.. I know the stock one sometimes does this to me, I just switched to Dolphin HD and no problems after (though IMO the stock aosp browser in custom roms is a little faster)

try this! i think i know what your problem is. Go to the market and download astro file manager. Open astro and press the hard menu button on the phone. Select preferences and scroll down until you see "enable browser download" make sure the box is clicked and voila!!! It should allow you to download the file.

Seemed dimplier to download dolphin plus didn't read this till I already flashed theme ;-) :-\

Exactly what it says-just acts like an app that tells Android it can run everything so you can download. It doesn't actually do anything.
