Flashed with red CWM, does it make a difference? it did install it fine since I was able to see a new indicator.
yeah, you suppose to flash with red cwm, i going to flash 2.0.4 myself to see what happen.
i just flashed infused 2.0.4, i getting the same FC with this battery %.
the stock launcher is causing it to FC, if you really want to stay on 2.0.4,
try to reflash 2.0.4, install Launcher Pro (and set as default) then flash battery %. (i havnt test it).
but i flashed back to infuse 2.0.2 and this battery % working just fine! (i dont see that much different from 2.0.4 and 2.0.2)

I don't think it's a launcher causing it. I was on Go Launcher when I flashed and it still did it.

Where did you get 2.0.2? It's not available to download and appears to be the closest stable version which allows for this MOD to run.
You guys can go to the kitchen and cook one up! All you need is framework-res.apk and systemui.apk and voila!

Hi all
because many of you asked in this thread to port the battery % mod to EVO, I did first version.
I'vemodified services.jar taken from :
DamageControl 3.2 --> (update-signed_DC.zip)
Fresh 1.0.1 --> (update-signed_Fresh.zip)
Baked Snack 9.7 --> (update-signed_BS.zip)
Confirmed that works OK on Fresh 1.0.1 and Baked Snack 9.7
First of all I do not own EVO so I have absolutely no possibility to TEST!!!!
If you follow the instructions you are doing it at your own risk.
Installation :
Code:
1. Do a full backup.
2. Place update-signed_{ROM}.zip to SD-card and flash
NOTE: It might work also on another ROMs but they must be deodexed. This won't work on stock because of odexed system/framework.
FAIL.

I've seen a lot of chatter regarding the desire to port over the mod that was created originally, I believe by PaY87, and then ported to the EVO by kubino99.
While I generally prefer to create my own stuff, versus porting other's work, there seemed to be enough demand / desire for this, that I decided to give it a try.
I take no credit for the original mod, which is quite smart in how it was done, rather, I simply cracked open the applicable framework file (services.jar) to try and determine what was modified, and then worked to incorporate these changes, which were vast into our CDMA Hero services.jar file.
This will NOT change your battery icon / graphic in any way, it will simply add, in white text, the percent battery left, inside of your existing battery icon. While this is nice to have, if you are like me, you are now going to drive yourself crazy watching the percent value tick down!
The linked zip files, to be flashed via recovery, as mentioned, modifies a framework file, and as such, your initial boot will take a while after flashing, as your dalvik-cache will get rebuilt. This was built off of the Fresh 2.3.3 services.jar file.
FYI, since this modifies the services.jar file, the same file contains a previous mod I had done for removing the clock from the taskbar. As such, if you still do not want the clock in the taskbar, you will have to flash the mod that contains both changes (included below).

What ROM are you running? My best guess is you are running a stock / non-deodexed ROM, which this will not work on.
Just flashed...AWESOME! Thanks for the great work to everyone involved.
I flashed in recovery and there was no change when i rebooted.

idk..if it doesnt come up the first time..shut down and just reboot again.
ill give updates soon

ps. you need to use clockwork recovery to flash the cirlce battery zip in the link below

You can read a little about odex verssus deodex ROMs in Flipz's post here.
What it comes down to, however, is deodexing allows us to then more easily modify the binaries (compiled executable code), to make the mods we make, then re-compile and release.
In general can I assume that a mod working for Fresh will (or at least might) also work on other de-odexed Sprint-based ROMs?

This rom is based on latest AOSP 0.4.1 Original(No Twiz) rom.Both roms been slimmed down to the maximum,themed,stock apps replaced with better ones,live wallpapers added,speed and battery tweaks,and more.
Difference between the two is:Cosmic Blue Barebones version is complete minimal with almost everything removed.
Regular Cosmic Blue version is the same as barebones version but with new live wallpapers(themed),stock apps replaced with better ones(themed),Fascinate music player,themed Swipe and regular apps.
Both versions are clean,light and fast.Barebones is 98mb(with Root Explorer and ES file manager added),regular version is 116mb with only best apps included and still is light and fast as barebones.This is my personal rom that im sharing so it will get more polished and updated in the future.

Man,i dont know why but it happens on alota roms,first market download wont start.There is gotta be a trick to it but don't know exactly what it is,i usually leave an app downloading and it will download and install eventually,sometimes it takes 2 minutes sometimes overnight,lol.But after the first app downloads market works with no problems after that.Im bout to start a thread on that question,its not just this rom but other roms also,gotta be a simple solution to it.

Id say even smoother to be honest. Havent had not one hiccup yet using this kernel. Ive set it to interactive instead of conservative
Any chance maybe of just adding and hosting the theme separately outside of the ROM? At least that way people will have the option of applying the theme to the Rom of their choice or using your custom rom outright.. Bub's AOSP is a great rom but I have a preference for Epic Experience. Thanks.

I will post the theme in themes section tomorow,or you can just extract 2 frameres.apk's with winrar and replace the ones in in your rom with mines.Its simple and more clean this way.
This may be a bit much to ask, but would you possibly consider making a version with the original aosp theme? Thanks for your time, effort, and the share
Hmmmm, after using the Phoenix kernel for a few days, once my phone goes to sleep after a while it shuts off on its own. Any ideas of why this is....

It don't have nothing to do with the rom.Which version you using barebones or full?
Im using Phoenix 1.43 since yesterday with no problems.
Try flashing Phoenix kernel again and if that doesn't fix it wipe system/data/cache 2-3 times in Clockwork and flash rom again.You mighta had a bad flash that probably will fix it,if not do this:
This what i do every time to make sure things running cool:
1 Get in clockwork and wipe system,data,cache 3 times.
2 Flash kernel and reboot(or even better flash kernel twice).
3 Flash rom and run it once or twice.
4 Get back in Clockwork do system reset.
5 Flash rom again,run it once,get back in clockwork and do system reset and you done.
This is the best way to make sure sht goes smoothly but takes longer:
1 Do Odin stock kernel and system restore(DI18).
3 Flash kernel(doing it twice helps).
2 Root.
3 Install Clockwork.
4 Get in Clockwork and wipe system,data,cache 2-3 times.
5 Flash your rom,run it once,back in clockwork do system reset and you done.
Oh and wipe Dalvik cache in clockwork
Let me know how it goes.

Since I was on the G1 ive made a habit of flashing ANYTHING at least twice and doing a complete wipe at least 3-4 times so no leftover data is there.
Ill never use odin again, it caused me to return my 1st epic back to best buy. I reflashed the rom and kernel again and will wait the results...thanks tho bro
Update: major system changes in upcoming 2.2.6 release, I have worked out the gps lag and voice call issue and figured out why I wasn't having these problems. If you are interested in testing 2.2.6 b4 I release this to everyone let me know. The only thing I ask for in return is feedback... GPS lag fixed, and I believe the call issue is fixed.
Here it is ! ! ! (Superman 2.2.5 DK28)
I DO NOT RECOMMEND INSTALLING OVER OTHER ROMS ! ! !
Um... One thing you have to go in and set the ringtone...
Americano is a clip from the superman theme song.
if you don't go in and set a tone it will remain silent...
Recomended procedure to install:
1. Odin back to factory.
2. Reroot your phone.
3. Clockwork this ROM
4. Odin the DK28 modem
That is exactly what I did and everything is working perfect so far...
Recomended procedure to upgrade from 2.2.3:
1. Wipe dalvik, cache, and data 3 times.
3. Clockwork Superman 2.2.4 rom
4. Odin the DK28 modem (only if having gps problems)
Download: Odin, pit & modem {DK28}
Download: Superheroes "Superman" 2.2.5 {DK28}
Download: Superheroes "Superman" 2.2.4 {DK28}
Download: Superheroes "Superman" 2.2.3 {DK28}
Download: Superheroes "Superman" 2.2.2 {DK17}
Download: Superheroes "Superman" 2.2.1 {DK17}
Warning: GPS will not work while ADB is on and plugged into computer...

Thnx I added a a 15 second sound clip from the superman theme music to it on shutdown in 2.2.3
No way - I was gonna go to sleep but now I want to see and hear that shutdown animation. Gonna flash it now.
Just a suggestion, to go along with your theme, I think you should make the 4g in the pull down menu a fantastic 4 icon. Great work though

AOSP Lockscreen (Confirmed Working)
I downloaded this and installed and I can confirm it works. No issues with power options like some other roms.
Enjoy!
I like this style, looks nice! Will try to flash after I get root and CWM back on DK28 stock.
Workin, workin, workin... Lol. I passed out on the couch working on this rom and my dream gave me a few ideas. This might take a day or two... So, if I don't post an update for a day or so, don't get your panties in a bunch just know that I am working hard... Well that or sleeping and thinking up new ideas...

Flashing with DK28
Stupid question here. If i already flashed the modem and and already using stock froyo do i need to go back and redo everything like going back to stock or can i just flash the ROM through clockwork and be done with it?

I suggest odin back to stock as it is what I have done and know will work, but if your going to flash this rom over what you already got on there I would at least flash the modem after you have installed this rom, I flashed the modem before I installed the rom and was having issues with the gps so I flashed the modem again after and it's all good now...
ok thanks man...The ROM looks great BTW.

Not sure about the intro, last I heard we could only change it to other samsung intro's because of the format, but the dialer is on my to do list.
