I am trying to unroot my Xoom by taking it all the way back with RSD Lite 4.9 and I keep on getting the error that is posted in the pic. Is there anyone that could give me a little help on how to get this to work?
you might try to flash back stock by using stock image from Motorola developer webpage.
If you dont mind pointing me that way and maybe giving a link on how to do it?
Thank you
This is not development. Thread moved and closed.
Also, google is your friend (first link). Finally, don't bother with RSD if your device isn't bricked and can load fastboot. Follow Motorola's instructions instead.

Evening all,
In trying to relock my Xoom this evening I think I may have bricked it. When the Xoom rebooted after I locked it I have a very red message at the top of the screen:
Failed image LNX 0x0002
Starting RSD mode 2
Can this be saved or am I doomed?
Thanks,
Steve
Check this thread, save my xoom

only use the link above if you have a 3g xoom. Won't work with the wifi only version.
You are not bricked. If i was in your shoes, I would do the following. I would restore using rsd lite then, before booting, go into bootloader and flash the tiamat boot.img. I have no idea if this would work, as i don't have a wifi only model. Tread carefully
I did this a bunch. You can't relock with an unsigned kernel. Flash the boot.Img from moto AND the system.img. from moto then relock.

I followed the instructions but it failed...damn. Looks like its dead.
Thread moved to the appropriate section. Good luck fixing your XOOM.
Try following steps on the motodev site. I they also have the files needed to restore your xoom to stock. That would be the first place I would start. Also there is a sbf floating around for stock 3.0 on the xoom

Where can I get the "XDA" App? I bricked my wifi only xoom and even if I find the XDA app, I'mn ot sure i can make it work without a batch file of some sort.
Either way though, my xoom is useless to me at the moment anyway, so I will certainly give anything a try that any of you recommend.
Please type really s-l-o-w though, as I am a noobe and really don't know WTF I am doing...
As i softbricked few days ago i tried to flash FXZ but continuously received error at step 3 in RSD flashing mbmloader.bin.
After a little research i found that the mbmloader.bin provided in fxz is for 2.3.5 and the binaries gets modified during update to 2.3.6.
So to get back from 2.3.6 to 2.3.5 you must have mbmloder.bin of 2.3.6
Also i found that if someone has working phone then partitions like recovery, boot, mbmloader.bin can be cat'd from phone.
I don't know the process of cat'd
So if someone uploads the mbmloder.bin from their 2.3.6 then i can make FXZ which can recover from any type of BOOTLOOP.
MOD EDIT: Please note duplicate posts are frowned upon. General post deleted, as you will get more response in this forum where people know what you're talking about.
Are you trying this: forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=887221&d=1328375358
From beginners guide:
Unzip it and move all the the items in it to the stock fxz. You might get a warning about replacing files, just click OK. NOTE that Windows might not be able to handle the size of the fxz. I have 6 GB RAM but Windows still wasn't able to perform a drag-and-drop through the fxz's zip. I recommend that you just unzip the fxz and then put the files in. (You don't have to rezip it either, RSD Lite will still recognize it and will flash faster).
You should be able to use RSD Lite to flash the file.

So, I'm trying to fix a phone for a friend of mine. I previously put CM10 on it (not sure which version at this point), and he recently started getting stuck in a bootloop. I tried wiping /data & /cache, didn't help. Tried re-installing the rom, didn't help. Tried installing the latest versions (both stable and nightly), didn't help. Tried installing arrgh's kernel, didn't help. Now I'm trying to get it back to stock, just to see if that'll work. I can get into fastboot just fine, and both cwm and skrilax's recovery work, but the only guide I found that has working DL links is this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33391825&postcount=9, and while I can get TWRP installed and boot into it, I'm unable to select anything. I don't know if the program is acting up or if there's an issue with the touchscreen, but it's really frustrating. I've got the .win files ready to go, but not being able to navigate TWRP is holding me back. Is there any other way to install these files, or is there a way to get TWRP to work? I'm using the latest version (2.6.3.0). Would installing an earlier version work? Is there any known way to fix the bootloop issue? Is there a rom more stable than the official CM10? I realize that's a lot of questions, but as I'm at the end of my rope here, I figured I might as well get it all out there, and hope someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

CM10 was never really "stable" on the Q. 10.1 is pretty solid, and 10.2 runs fairly well as well.
If you want to go back to stock, why not just use RSD lite?

I think it was 10.2 that I put on originally.
I would love to use RSD, but like I said, all the guides I found had dead DL links.

Uhm, when you talk about working download links you link to some recovery hack.
I'm talking RSD Lite, and using fastboot to flash all of the stock stuff back.
Please read the link I sent - I can download those FXZ files no problem.

Huh. Must be late, totally didn't see that you had posted a link. I think I wound up on that page at one point, but the latest version of RSD Lite I could find from a site that didn't look sketchy was 5.7. When I search for 6.1.5, I get a lot of random download links (don't usually trust those, and a lot of non-English sites.
Yeah, may need to stop for the night and pick it back up tomorrow. Completely missed that there's a link to 6.0 on that thread. Will try that. Now, when you say to use RSD and then using fastboot to flash the stock stuff back, what do you mean? I thought RSD would take me back to stock.

I posted a direct link to 6.0 here, others posted their links in that thread as well.
Thanks for all your help. Will get RSD from that thread and try the files you linked. Hopefully that gets me further.
Yeah, RSD got me back to stock. The phone is borked anyway; the power button is iffy at best, and the touchscreen has stopped working, so he's gonna haveta try to get a replacement. Thanks for all the help.
I'm sorry if others have helped on this before but I can't find real clean instructions on how to do this. I bought a phone that has CM installed on it but can't active on Sprint because I can't do ##...#. I need to know how to get back to the stock rom that I don't have a back up of. Is there a easy way to reinstall the Sprint made rom? I did not root this phone myself but it came rooted so trying to figure this out with out a lot of back ground knowledge here. Thanks for your help.

Use RSD Lite and an appropriate FXZ file from here.

There's a couple of lines you need to remove from the XML file. Read the first post carefully.
Sounds like you put your phone in fastboot mode correctly, so you are almost there.
thanks so much that fixed it. I love the help from this site.
Greetings my tech peoples.
Just wanted to let everybody know I successfully flashed a BNTV450 Stock Rom on a BNTV460 Tablet. As I said in a previous post, I bricked the little guy trying to get root (it got stuck in a bootloop after I patched Magisk to the boot-sign img and then flashed it) so I thought, why not be creative and see what you can do with the little guy.
Now there are problems. A **** ton of problems. It isn't what I would call functional. Screen keeps going Red on the borders and flickering. Start thing crashed. But I can get in and finagle to developer options and such. Flashboot and ADB still working though. Keep in mind I flashed with SP Tool via scatter file.
But hey - it can be done!!!!
Also, just for note, I've also been able to flash a boot img of the 450 over an installation of the 460 stock rom - did that unlocking the device. Honestly, that caused less problems but I wasn't able to get root. Also, it naturally erased my unlocking but fret not, I've unlocked the thing 3 times in the 12 hours I've had it.
This is my first nook device, and my first timed dealing with new android, Oreo. But I just wanted to give the hope out there.
Hopefully better news in the coming days.
You wouldn't want to share your scatter file and your stock firmware would you? Trying to recover a 450 that won't boot past Nook screen. I cannot unlock it because the volume key does not respond. I have been able to flash 1.02, 2.04, and 2.05 boot and recovery images from ipdev's thread with no change. Also got a 1.02 system.img from him but that did not seem to fix it either. I do not have adb access at this moment either so cannot logcat.

This is the 450 firmware I used:https://mega.nz/#!Ds5lTCRD!MT8za1cUYOfEkSXGZB57gIsWr12ogWs9YotDoHZLwQ4
Scatterfile is in there. Keep in mind I got it from an unverified source - use at your own risk just in case it has that piece of software in the OS that B&N knew about which you can read about here: https://techcrunch.com/2016/12/22/the-new-barnesnoble-nooks-come-with-free-malware/

Sorry bro, it kept redirecting weirdly. I reposted the link in the previous post and it should work.
Here is also the site I got it from: https://www.xsfirmware.com/nook-bntv450-mt8163-android-6-0-firmware-flash-files/
Back up and running. Thank you.

No prob dude.
If spflash tool is working, but you have not a correct scatter file. You can use "Wwr_MTK tool" to read back the whole emmc and read partition table from preloader, the tool will make scatter file and full image copies of the firmware partition by partition
I did this, but now I can't log into the B&N account, and if I try to open nook settings, it asks me to log in, and again, it doesn't let me...
