First off I take no credit I jus followed the directions given by others and decided to post for any of those having troubles jus uninstall your old adobe flash and put this one in using astro or what ever file manager you use and it should be golden. And yes this is the most current special thx to Almighty1 for developing the fix and to the others with signature idea if I left anyone out my apologies.
Will not install on stock Sprint EVO. Do you need root for this?

No jus download this and install like any other app and it will work on the hulu app or or the internet jus change your user agent to IE6 its not a fix its the adobe app with the fix already in it jus uninstall the old adobe and put this in gets no easier
Does not work, i tried it with the HULU App and i tried it with HULU.com -- (and i changed the string to desktop in dolphin browser)
On hulu.com it just said that i need to have flash installed (seemed as though it showed i didn't have any flash installed) -- and once i reverted back to stock flash 10.2 it didn't say that anymore
Dont know what to say Ive got some confirmation from another that it worked for him also worked for me so any feedback from others would be appreciated

Does anyone know how to get 10.3 flash to work on the EVO? I tried updating but when I go to any flash site or use PLAYON or the HBO APP, all that I get is an icon that looks like a LEGO BLOCK where the flash content should be. I have to restore to an older 10.2 version (the version of 10.2 that came out before 10.3 does the same thing).
any ideas???
Same issue. :/

Can someone be kind enough to post a Titanium back (3 files) of flash before these two updates were made, this will be quite helpful for me. TIA
There is a how-to somewhere here that states flash puts a similar file in two places. When one is deleted, flash works flawlessly. Y'all should search and try it.

Ya i know its in the flashable zip but its outdated 10.1 i believe, but it works. I was hoping someone can post the latest working version or one before the recent two updates.
Thanks jamsterzak, will give it a go.
Go to the Market under my apps, pull up the flash player 10.3, and click on uninstall updates
All you have to do is rename or delete that file and then the new version works fine. no need for anyone to upload anything...

what he said. the file isnt needed at all.
Flash displaying box's
When I try to watch a flash video I just get blue box's with question marks. Would setting of the window and transition animations of the app spare part have an affect on the flash because I have the window and transition animations set to fast. What can I do to fix this?
I tried to do a clean install of the latest flash player, by using Root explorer and deleting all the flash player associated files =] Hence i am having issues, I wish i backed up the working version before these two updates.
10.1 works, i shall stick to that for now, or try to get all the files back off my g/fs EVO since we have the same set up =]

I updated just fine. Watched some anime to test it, and this was days ago. Use titanium to uninstall flash, then reinstall flash.
Hi Folks,
I just updated Flash player to version 10.3 from android marketplace.
It apparently "updated" on my DS without issue, and indeed if I check app settings it seems to confirm version 10.3 as expected.
BUT if I use the supplied browser to check on the Adobe web page, it tells me that I have version 10.1.102.64 installed.
So I'm a bit puzzled.
Does the supplied browser use some other flash other than Adobe, or am I just missing something obvious ?
Thanks,
- Steve
The plot thickens, what do you make of this :
http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ tells me that my DS has flash version 10,1,102,64
BUT
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html tells me that my DS has flash version 10,3,186,6 (the latest one I thought I had installed)
So it seems that even Adobe's own web site can't decide which version I have.
Does this suggest that possibly the Flash plugin contains the version number in 2 places, and one is wrong?
For me both websites show proper, same version 10.3... Cheers

Are you able to de-install and then re-install the application as well as clearing all data and cache relating to Flash.
If you have Titanium Backup you could freeze and remove the application and then install only the latest version.
Could be the Base ROM comes with one version and since then you've updated and for some reason now both versions are being reported erroneously.
EDIT: What ROM are you using? S-OFF? Root?

Thanks for that feedback djkac.
Was that using the browser supplied with the DS, or a third-party one like Opera?
I have tried removing and re-installing the Flash update, clearing the Internet browser cache and re-starting the phone and Internet browser application, but I still get the same result.
I would appreciate feedback from anyone else who would do the version tests.

SO it looks like I am not alone in experiencing this issue!
Thanks to everyone who responded. If you have time to do the test, please try BOTH Adobe links that I mentioned,
http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ (the "normal" flash checker page)
and
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html (another page with different info)
Thanks.
Both site still shows same version to me.

It's 10.3.186.6 on support page and I'm pretty sure that's the correct version because it's the one I see in .apk properties through Titanium backup. Flash checker reports 10.1

I changed from CM9 to CM10 one week ago and I'm pretty satisfied with it. Except of that there is no flash player at all.
I searched all threads and posts on XDA and the web but i couldn't find any solution for this problem which works on the one s. This issue is very important to me because 90% of the whole websites still including flash player and browsing without it sucks big time!! I already installed the flash player apk but still can't get it to run. For me its one of the most important tools and i badly need it. Thats why i started this thread. Thanks for any answers :good:

Restore from Titanium backup? Paul O'Brian had a flash downloader app but it was pulled from the Market...maybe someone can upload?
to get the apk isn't the problem. i already installed this, but it will not work. the app by itself is working fine (i open it like on cm9 and it goes straight via browser to settings and it allows me to change the option) but when i open for example youtube by boat or dolphin it opens the usual flash window and it starts to load but this is it..
I remember reading something about Adobe Flash player not getting support anymore for 4.0.4.
The stock browser supports flash anything else like Dolphin will not work.

thanks for all replies!!
I installed the latest nightlies rom of cyanogenmod (from xkonni's CM10 20120815 to nightlies CM10 20120829). After flashing this rom, FLASH PLAYER works for me now. With stock browser and even with boat browser or dolphin browser. I don't know why but i'm so happy with it!!!! Thanks to the developer very big!!!

Hi, I haven't yet the Galaxy s3 but i want to ask you a question.. for me the flash player is important then I read that there is a possibility to install it because in the market android there isn't (i'm italian then in my nation this app isn't in the market)
then, it's secure install an app not recognized by the sytem? there is a kind of lag and things like this or it's perfect?
now, i want to know how i can install this,
1) first of all i must allow Unknown Sources when prompted or else it will not install
2) then I must download the file flash_player version 11.1.115.27, right?
3) finally run the stock browser
right? help me please
You don't really need flash. Just use chrome

You are right. Unfortunately adobe flash is not supported on android 4.0 so just use Dolphin Beta or Chrome. I was a big adobe flash fan but when I upgraded to the S3 it took me a while to get used to not having flash. I found Chrome (specialy the newest version) is not that bad also Dolphin Beta. I use the 2 regularly.

That is so misleading. There are still many sites out there that use flash that you can't view without using the now unsupported flash application and a browser that supports it, like the stock browser on GSIII. I use chrome, but occasionally call the stock browser for sites with flash.

HTML5 may be the future, but Flash is still very much the present. Don't let the Apple-esque mindsets tell you otherwise. Flash is necessary for a complete web experience. Get the Flash APK, install it, and enjoy. It will appear in your market under your apps afterward and will update normally.
I use the Android browser with it, and it works fine. As stated, other 3rd party browsers will work well with Flash, too.

How do I get it to show up in the Play store? I just manually updated from version .17 to .27, although Adobe's flash player test page shows it's still .17(?). Neither version of Flash player shows up in the Play store for me, under the installed or all tabs.
I ~believe~ the process I used was side-loading the Flash .apk file and using Astro file manager to install it. After that, it showed up for my S III in the Play Store.
Hmm. I used dropbox to put it on my sdcard, then installed through ES File Explorer. ES/Astro - same thing, right? Oh well, at least it's functional.
