Stock GB 2.3.3 Newish (to me) 3week old G2x built in May. Youtube was running fine, saw an auto uodate in the notification bar, downloaded and now the app/screen freezes and phone shuts off/resets. A manual on/off doesnt fix it either.
It freezes maybe 15 seconds in. Troublshooting i played with settings of HD off/on with no luck.
Appreciate any thoughts.
Try this one its modified by rolle3k you can force hd, and download vids.

Can't you just select start in HD with the stock App? the downloading may be cool tho...do i need to root the device or request the code/unlock or anything to try this tweak/app out?

Dont think so bro just uninstall the original and install rolle3k, and yes the dload feature is most appealing.

Yeah same problem, updating busted you tube, so I went back to the market and uninstalled out from the youtube page.
after that the youtube icon on my desktop wouldn't work so i deleted it rebooted and then went to my drawer tap the youtube icon and was back to the stock version.
Can't trust the updates. Even flash player update 10.3 makes videos more choppy when viewing from inside browser.
There is now a newer update that works fine.

Just goto 4shared.com on your phones browser. Search for Rock player.apk. Wait 20 seconds for the link, then download. Then install.
Its still there.

has anyone found that this version of Rock Player doesnt save where you left off when watching movies? I uninstalled this one and went back to using the lite version.
http://www.androidcentral.com/grab-new-android-market-app-while-its-hot
You might have heard that Google was rolling out a new Android Market, complete with book and movie rentals. You also might have heard it would coming in the next few weeks. Well thanks to an anonymous source (possibly with a time machine) you can grab it today.
Hit the download link, and install it from your SD card like any other app. Fair warning -- we don't know if there will be any complications from doing this, but we haven't seen any so far. Use your best judgement. Discuss it in the forums!

Seems a little cluttered but i like it mostly. I'd recomend using something to backup your old market app in case this one doesnt work for anything, in the comments on that post some people said they were having problems uninstalling/updating apps.

Yeah, I just uninstalled and installed an app no problem too. But all of my apps are up to date so I don't know about updating.

awesome looks cool by any chance anyone running Ninja 7061 and using the new market place.
? though since I have the stander market how would I save the .apk for that so just in case I dont like this one? Also do I just add the this new .apk like any other .apk file, I use Android Side Load Wonder Machine when I install .apks

Why bother with any software or plugging your phone in to install an APK? It all seems a bit unnecessary. I just chrome-to-phoned the dropbox URL and bam app installed.

If your running tpgb ninja your rooted, so you don't need the sideload machine, just go to settings>applications>and check unknown sources. Then put this apk on your sd card and use file manager (an app installed in ninja) to select it and install.
Oh, and i am running ninja 7061. but i think i might just go back to stock CM
FOr people who want old market follow these steps:
(Originally Posted By:Chris Chavez of Phandroid)
Go into your phone’s Settings
Select “Manage Applications”
Select the “All” tab at the top
Scroll down to Market app and select it
Select “Uninstall Updates”
Now have your old Market back!
----------------------------------------------------
If that fails, install gapps via rom manager>download ROM>gapps

It's not a "method" really, it's just.. installing the app, the same way you would any APK. Doesn't matter how you get the url to the APK to your phone (email, chrome to phone, typing it in by hand).

Like the title says: I have a T-mobile HTC One S and Tune-In Radio came installed on the device, but it's nowhere to be found. It's not in the app draw or in the Music app so I don't know how to turn the app on. Does anyone else see Tune-In in there app draw?? I'm puzzled.

Yes it does show up in car mode. The only way I can open Tune-In is if I open it in the Market. Weird.
Same here. You can also add the widget, but seriously WTF?

Only the Tmobile version seems to have this problem.
T-Mo made almost every single app a system app, so no uninstall for you non-rooted folk. On the other hand, if you're feeling lucky, go ahead and root that sucker and delete/freeze apps to your heart's content. Like, for example, the 10 or so T-Mobile apps. It's absurd how much crap they put on it.

This issue still exists after the OTA update. Are there any fixes short of installing Anycut and manually making a link?
It's located in the Music app, the one named Music not the google Play Music app... If you can't find Soundhound, it's in there too

Anyone knows if it's possible to get Flash player working on KitKat? I know Google doesn't support it since ICS but we were able to run it on JB using flash player apk and browser that still allows flash. However this trick seems to be not working here, every attempt to play flash content occurs with grey area instead of picture. I tried Firefox, flashfox, dolphin and no luck.
