I have disabled all type of vibratory settings in my sensation but somehow whenever my data connection gets disconnected the notification comes with vibration and sometimes it happens in quick succession which is very annoying.
can anybody help in disabling this vibratory notification. this is the only notification that vibrates all others are fine. by the way i have a rooted device but with stock rom.
In settings/sound you can disable the vibration. Have you tried that?
i have unchecked all vibrate options like in sound settings, feedback and even in settings of received and sent message options

I do not get any type of notification of any new text msg while I am on the phone and the vibrate function is turned on, any way around this?
Have you looked at your Sounds & Notifications settings to see if the "Vibrate when ringer switch off" is checked for Messaging.
Yes it is checked. Can anyone tell me if they are experiencing the same thing or if it just me?
Hello, I have a SNS since four days and I notice a bug (I believe): when phone is in Silence mode it not vibrate on notifications. No on sms, no on gmail, no on every notification types.
I tried to set "vibrate always" in every application, but the issue remains.
Can you hel me to resolve my issue?
Thanks in advance.
Meph
Hey, try with this...
messaging>menu>settings
all the way down at the bottom check vibrate
I have exactly the same problem. Every setting (main, in apps) is set to "vibrate always" but the phone never vibrates in notifications when the sound is on.
I have been hoping it is a bug in 2.3, but there don't seem to be many threads here about it. On the other hand, how could it possibly be a hardware problem?
it vibrates when i get SMS
and all other alerts when my phone is in Sound ON or Vibrate Only
It doesn't vibrate for me with Google chat, Gmail, pretty much anything other notification wise, than SMS, and my storm8 notification systems doesn't vibrate.
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
My ringer is usually off and I can't keep looking at my screen (e.g., for NoLED) when I'm with patients. I've been unable to get vibration notifications of incoming text messages, although as far as I can tell I've selected everything to do with vibration in Settings.
Surely there's a way to get this that I'm missing.
in the sound settings, select vibrate and choose an option like vibrate only in silent mode or always. in the messages app, choose settings and select vibrate. choose vibrate only in silent mode or always

Right. I've done that (Vibrate Always in both Settings and Messaging), yet it doesn't vibrate for anything except calls.
be certain that notifications are enabled in the messaging app.
there was a similar problem on a couple htc phones i had. i used a program from the market called 'sound manager', i believe it was. then i set everything the way i wanted it, did a test and vibrate worked. then when i deleted the sound manager app the settings stuck and my messages still alerted via vibration. good luck.
I'm starting to think this might be a Gingerbread bug, man, cuz I don't get vibrations on text either
I used to think it was CM7 but I have the same problem on stock.
I've got an interesting problem with CM10 Stable. If I enable Profiles, I get random notifications for no reason. Every 10 minutes or so, the phone will vibrate twice and sound the default notification tone. There's nothing in the Notification Drawer, no incoming messages, nothing. If I disable profiles the notifications stop.
Any ideas?
Figured it out. One of my profiles had a check next to Notifications in Vibrator Overrides. So it was causing it to notify every time JuiceBox or Avast changed status.
Anyone know how to turn off notification vibration completely? I have it turned off for taps, but it pops up for system notifications and some apps. I've also turned off vibration on each of the apps. Maybe I'm missing a setting, I am getting up there in years.
