This is the most recent recovery image for the HTC Hero CDMA compiled from CyanogenMod source repo. These builds are UNOFFICIAL and are not supported by CyanogenMod.
If you do not know what you are doing, then I suggest you stop now.
Note that I do not take any responsibility for any damage that comes to your phone from flashing these recovery images as you did it with your own free will.
Now that that's out of the way, onto the recovery images! The downloads to the recovery images are embedded into the pictures so just click on the picture to download that corresponding recovery image. Also these are flashable from recovery.

No problem! Those 4 colors are going to be the ones I release with every update. I can try to take requests. Maybe a GL one with the Lantern Corp emblem and instead of CWM-Based I can do something along the lines of Green Lantern for you to match your avatar. Haha

The colors are controlled by the ui.c file under bootable/recovery in the CyanogenMod repo. You have to change the corresponding lines and then compile. These lines here:

I use to use CyanMod before but now use LeeDroid.... can you change that on my rom? I just want it the same as normal but with red text? Plus how safe is this if this is compatible on my phone & rom is this? if you follow the steps correctly?

First off this is a recovery not a ROM. DO NOT FLASH THIS TO YOUR PHONE. This is built for the HTC Hero CDMA. What I can do is make one for your phone though. Just tell me your phone model and I'll make it if it is in the CyanogenMod repo device list.

STOCK ROM QR VERSION
Coming soon. Had difficulties uploading
ONLY KNOWN ISSUE IS THAT IT HANGS AT THE LOCKSCREEN ON FIRST BOOT.
Workaround:
Keep phone on for a while than put it on sleep and than plug in the charger once the screen turns on it should bring lockscreen up about 5 sec later.
Brightness is also a obvious Bug but the thing that works for me is Juice Defender Beta.
Intructions:
1.Download Juice defender Beta from the Market (Its Free)
2.open the app and choose advanced options
3.go to controls and choose brightness
4. change the profiles to -60 25 80. In that order
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
NANDROID BEFORE FLASHING ANYTHING! IF YOU BRICK YOUR PHONE AND POINT AT ME I WILL LAUGH
Step 1: Root (OBVIOUSLY)
Step 2: Download the Rom and place it in your SDCARD
Step 3: Reboot into recovery (i Honestly Suggest AMON RA 2.3 since it never gave me flash problems)
Step 4: Wipe EVERYTHING 4X
Step 5: Boot into ROM (Give it a Minute) and use the Lockscreen workaround
Step 6: HAVE FUN!!
If you are unable to boot the ROM please dont post here before you have tried the above steps AT LEAST 3X
PLEASE POST ANY PROBLEMS YOU HAVE WITH THE ROM AND ANY REQUESTS YOU HAVE ALSO.

Ok a little back story, I have been a member here on XDA-Developers for about 14 months now. And the community has helped me so much and I have learned literally a ton of stuff from the community here on XDA. And for the past several months I have been wanting to give back to the community somehow. So about a week ago I decided to try to put together my own theme for 4EXT Recovery. So with out further ado, here is my first 4EXT Recovery theme, but stay tuned for more themes.

Thanks for the advice as I am still learning about how to make the theme look the way I want it to . I will try your suggestion and see what happens but I think I am going to try it a little different than you suggested as I started editing the theme.prop yesterday to make it a all red them as red is and white are the primary colors in the images. The following is what I will try.

I did some editing on the theme.prop and removed the two images that marc2040 mentioned. I also did some further editing of the theme.prop on both versions. I made all text red, gave the buttons and loading bar red outlines, and made the menu touch response red. I added a download for both versions with these changes but left the original versions. I will try to add screen shots of the red versions tomorrow.
I also moved the hosting to Dev Host.

instead of having a fake btn_tex and ico_xxx files, you should just use 3x btnX_tex (1,2,3) for yes, no, ok.
Your main page is 731px of height (800-40-1-28) devided by 9 = odd numbered 81,2222
You should make your statusbar_shadow 3px high and your menu.row.height = 81 (for 480x800 theme).
Thats how you fill out the whole screen height.
What do you want to run? progressbar (indeterminate1 -6) or my spinner (progressbar.png)? I think you can delete some png´s.
Reduce width of menu_row_selected to your screen width.
At least add ...

Download the ROM zip file to your SD card
Reboot to CWM/TWRP
Do a factory reset
Format /system
Flash the ROM using CWM/TWRP
(Optional) Flash gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip if you want the Market plus other Google apps...
Reboot to the ROM
Let it sit for 10 mins
If you previously had IMEI/EFS problems, flash back to stock with my Heimdall OneClick, then Heimdall OneClick either AntonX's or Hampsterblade's kernel with CWM, then flash CM9 from there.
Flashing from 3.0.2.8 recovery does not work. Make sure the version of your recovery is 5.0.2.x (x being 7 or 8).

Again, I would love to keep AOKPCB going, however the team still has to discuss this past our plans for an R3 ICS release.

We hope you'll understand, and keep watching this thread, the PCB Mini-site, and its RSS feed for future updates!

It looks like GPS doesn't work. GPS apps seem to think that GPS is off even though it is actually on

Dao im still building from source so hopefully one remicks fixes the repo and fb will help me with the libcrypto problem which he got it for thomas so yeah
I LOVE THIS ROM!!!! I love the theme!! So tech-y! Lol. And finally someone that actually themed the pattern lock as well! Awesome job!!
For me build 2 would only boot into recovery. I checked the MD5 and did a factory reset but I can't seem to figure out how to get it to boot correctly. I am staying on AOKP until I can figure it out or until the next build comes out

Here is the step-by-step (on windows):
1. Extract the baksmali/smali tool to a new folder and put the framework.jar in same folder.
2. Run baksmali manager.bat.
3. Select framework.jar by pressing 4 -> 2 in main menu.
4. Press 1 to Baksmali the framework.jar.
5. Make it sure that new 'framework' folder is created and files inside it. (Don't close the baksmali manager window yet!)
6. Open the framework/android/widget/AbsListView.smali with notepad++.
7. Search for ".method private createScrollingCache"
(change red value to green value)

19. Restart your phone and enjoy!!!

Ok cool and another thing i noticed the mms app is the older version with the pop up that takes you the mms app instead of just popping up lol maybe you can update it the latest version with the fixes

Description:
Theme is inspired by, and uses the stylings of Sense 6. You will notice that the color of the header (as well as its title) will denote which section of the recovery you are in. I have extensively reworked the ui.xml and added numerous image resources to achieve a cohesive look and feel with the sense OS.

No because 2.7.0.4 wasn't an official build. It was not done by Team Win. That being said, the fact is its actually the exact same thing as 2.7.0.2 and so it is already compatible, but 2.7.0.2 is the official build and so that is what I support.
