camera - Samsung Galaxy S (4G Model)

is there a way to snap pic faster?

Turn of review in the camera settings or download an app

Not sure if there's a way to capture a picture faster.
If you're trying to get a perfect moving shot of something, maybe you can set the capture mode to continuous.

wonder if there is a way to get the camera app from the sensation phone to work on our phones

You can't.. Cause sensation pixel density is way different and its firmware is different

download fxcamera from the market.

Yeah, buy the MT4G slide.
Lol, I kid I kid.
But there's no way to do so in the stock camera app. Maybe a 3rd party camera app will be your best bet.

If you like the things like charcoal sketching, water color effects etc. use Paper Camera. Its got a few fun filters that apps like Instagram dont have.
Search Google....... like this : http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/top-20-android-photography-apps/

Best camera app for the GSIII?

I know that we have plenty of camera apps out there, but I'm concerned about them not being optimized enough for specific devices. I've been pretty disappointed with the stock JB camera, so what is the most impressive app with the most features in the Play Store?
I think the stock camera is awesome. If there was someway to implement it into jelly beans ROMs that would be awesome. All the camera apps on the market are horrible in my opinion.

Camera Zoom FX works for me & it will let you use the volume button to snap a pic.

Unfortunately not an option for those of us who despise TouchWiz.
I'd mainly like something with HDR capabilities and exposure compensation. Taking the photos with a hardware button is also a huge plus.

Currently I'm on aosp and love everything. Except the camera is bad enough for me to switch back to touchwiz ROM. No wide screen? Come on Google.

try camera fv-5 it costs $5 on the android market but it allows you to save the picture as a png format so it shows the true power of the 8 mp snapper. if you know picture formats you will realize that the android camera saves as a jpg which compresses the photo and basically your 8mp snapper becomes like a 1mp snapper but this app saves as a png which is the raw picture format so it shows the true power of this camera.

I've been using Vignette for quite awhile now and love it. Its got lots of filters and always takes great pictures and is easy to use.

4.2 android camera for me, the photosphere is really cool
Right now I'm using snap and it's fantastic, I like the way the configuration works, it's very fast. I bought camera zoom fx some months ago but I've never really used it. It's a good app though, lots of options and filters, but I guess it's just too complex for me.

I use "Camera ICS" found on the Google Market for any ROM i have without any camera app included. It's just like ICS's camera app and it works great

Camera app like iPhone?

Hi. I'm a new z1c user and I'm loving everything except the camera.
Anybody know how I can get the camera to shift White balance according to where I tap?
On the iPhone for example if there's a bright spot and the picture looks too dark, if you tap a dark spot it will adjust the colors shop that the colors balance according to your objective.
Can the Z1c do this too?
I've only seen the manual mode which is far worse send more complicated than the standard camera app on the iPhone (which I hate as a phone)
Sent from my D5503 using XDA Free mobile app
It actualy only adjusts exposure (on iPhone).
I don't know an app that does this by tapping, but you can adjust it in manual mode by taping the icon between the flash and scene mode.
Sent from my D5503 using XDA Free mobile app
It sounds like you want touch focus. Z1c does this: go to settings in camera app and change focus mode to touch focus.

He wanted touch focus with touch exposure together. I know Iphone and HTC does support that but our z1c no.
Or just download Google camera app
It supports touch focus and exposure

Yeah it doesn't balance the whites as good as the HTC (HTC one's white balance > iphone's, iphone's pic quality > HTC one's) but for what we are left with, I guess it does its job done. But can be better. If ill find any other app that can do the touch exposure thing, I'll buy it and use it as my camera app on my phone.
Sorry if you had to waste few bucks on the paid apps I mentioned.
Try to contact snap hdr team and tell them about this exposure feature maybe they might listen?

That's why it required a download from the Samsung Store on mine? Perhaps, Check your device to see if it is pre-installed....would be a better way to say it.

My post wasn't meant to sound condescending and I apologize if it did. And yes that would be a more appropriate way of saying that.
But back on topic: I had the panorama feature right out of the box and after each clean flash. Its possible it was removed in the ROM you're using (if any).

Any workarounds for DPI changes, the camera really freaks out if the DPI is different than stock
360 panorama is different from panorama.

I see no need for anything other than the stock camera as it's fantastic to me.
I agree that the stock camera app is good. I tried the Google Camera app but did not see how to make it save images to the SD card.
