I Updated my old HTC hero with this rom, but now my T9 dictionary ( Dutch ) is gone.
Is there a method to get this back ?
If not, then I keep using the rom, it boost my Hero from a cheap second hand car to a Ferrari

I recently upgrage my TyTN II (originally a Orange Swiss ROM) with the new 6.1 upgrade.
With the previous official WM 6.0 Rom, I had to tweak the registry to have my QWERTZ keyboard working with the following key :
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD], layout key to 0407
With this new 6.1 ROM, I can't find this key anymore and Kaiser Tweaks or Schaps advanced config can't change it either.
Anyone to change my keyboard to QWERTZ with WM 6.1 ? Thanks a lot that would be much appreciated !
I also have this problem and it bugs me quite a lot...
I now have the official 6.1 english update setuped, and I found no way to set the keyboard layout back to qwertz.
I tried to toy as suggested with HKCU\Keyboard layout\preload\ but it completely crashed the keyboard ;-/
The key seems to be here in 6.1:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD]
I modified CurLang to 407 in hexadecimal (or 1031 in decimal) and it's working perfectly!

I've tried a few Hero ROMS on my UK Vodafone HTC Magic with varying success, but the three main features I like on the HERO that are missing from the Magic are:
* Searchable calendar - no search feature on the Magic but searchable on the Hero
* Intelligent dialler - dial pad on Magic just does numbers, on Hero you can select contacts by using the dial pad
* Keyboard - the HTC_IME keyboard on the Hero is far superior.
I have found and successfully installed the HTC_IME keyboard on the Magic, and it's great. Can anybody help with instructions on how to get the dialler and calendar onto a Magic using .apk files ? I tried using the .apk files from the Hero ROM package but the Magic won't allow me to install them. Do they need to be cracked / patched ?

after installing NEW BLUE ELVES ROM V5.0, i noticed my default Touch Keyboard is missing!
Does anybody have any idea where an install for this Touch Keyboard is?
I loved it like a child

Anyone's got the stock keyboard that came with Sensation 4G?? I remembered that I could go into Text Input and disable Predictions and my trace would still work. But now the multi language keyboard that comes with all the roms, it's not like that. I must have predictions enabled for the trace to work

i recently S-OFFed my GFs Desire S (Gingerbread) and flashed a custom rom as it became really really slow.
Opening Whatsapp takes up to 30 seconds some time and the keyboard is responding really slow.
So far i tried the following ROMs:
1) Fallout Evolution 5.0 -> Nice, but really slow too. I think because of HTC Sense
2) MIUI V5 (don't know the exact version atm) Jelly Bean -> She really likes MIUI but it's really slow too, also she misses HTC IME with Digits
3) MIUI V4 ICS 3.2.22 -> Didn't boot (EDIT: Although it's a SONY Panel)
Now my question - as i think MIUI ICS should be the fastest ROM (even if you have thousands of Whatsapp messages):
Is there a MIUI ROM which
- runs ICS
- includes language pack for german (i found an ICS build, but there was no lang pack available)
- works with HTC IME Mod or has the HTC IME Mod included already
- is really the fastest available

As for the IME you could download a third party keyboard from appstore.
Rom comparison aren't allowed because everyone is entitled to their own opinion and words like "rom abc is better than zxc" kinda looks very discouraging for any developer.
Dont assume u have a hitachi panel, check out the thread, there are instruction to find out which panel u have.
But sense rom are generally stable, cm/jb roms are hit and miss. But usable for daily usage.
I'm quite sure you have a Sony panel, or else miui v5 would not have booted.
For MIUI v4 it doesn't matter what panel type you have, but you would need to upgrade your hboot first.
Okay, i let her check the diplay vendor and it is a SONY, not a Hitachi. Thanks for the hints.
She tried a couple of 3rd party keyboards but the german dictionary or the handling is really crap on most of them when using the digit keyboard and T9. So HTC IME / HTC IME Mod is really appreciated.
But what i don't understand - why did MIUI 3.2.22 not boot (black screen)? It was the "official" download from here

So can anyone recommend a ICS based MIUI ROM with HTC IME Mod and German language?
