So I recently freshly flashed MIUI.
I got my contacts synced with my google account. but then when I installed facebook and clicked sync with existing contacts, it synced ALL OF MY FACEBOOK friends to my contact list. I can't remove my facebook friend contacts...help..Its keep on doing that. I have "sync with existing contacts" only and its syncing all the facebook accounts to my contacts..
and how do I manually sync in MIUI?
does anyone have this problem??

that facebook app does that with any ROM anytime you sync...
log out of facebook and reboot then go to menu-->settings---->personal----> accounts & Sync settings---> turn off auto sync ....under that you should see your facebook and google accounts with sync off.....anytime you you need to sync just go back there and click your account to do it manually

for some reason, i cannot sync integrated facebook contacts , when going through accounts&Sync -> facebook. however all the other facebook accounts connect just fine. I had it synced and now i dont. and i have a large deal of contacts that arent there anymore

I'm having that issue also says: login failed, try later
Update: Seems to be working now
Same, I can't login to any other sync account other than Google either.

well i recently installed cyanogenmod 7 and it's amazing but when i was adding some contacts i accidentally selected phone only unsynced rather than creating the contact under my gmail. Now i was just wondering how i can sync these contacts?
Any help appreciated!
Have you tried navigating to Settings/Accounts & Sync and adding your Google account?
yep it's already there. Is there any way i can check what contacts are already synced?
How about if you create a test contact on the google contacts web page and see if it gets synced to your phone?

I synced my phone with Google and I have all contact available. Today I updated contact information for lots of people on Google and I did that on my laptop. I noticed that my phone haven't updated those contacts.
Is it possible to somehow resync my contacts again?

it should sync the at the next sync interval you set your google email account to sync at. You can ofcourse manually sync by going to settings --> email accounts and longpressing the google account and selecting the sync option
Thanks, it resynced but not at regular interval. It took few hours and that confused me at a beginning.

Since upgrading to 4.3 JB, facebook photos are not syncing.
I had CM 10.1.2 with JB 4.2.2 and contacts+ app before. When I add a person's phone number or email to contacts (people) app, contacts+ app would pull the person's facebook or linkedin photo (even though the person is not in my facebook friend's list).
No matter what app I try in 4.3 JSS, only my facebook friend's contact photo is syncing - not all contacts. Anyone has success syncing photos of contacts even if they are not your facebook friends? Is it Android OS thing or facebook thing?
Tried Ubersync, Haxsync, Contacts+, and SyncME (tried different settings, sync over data or wifi, sync existing contacts, all contacts etc.)
Waited for almost a week to sync - was in wifi most of the time
Tried: without facebook app and with facebook app logged in
Tried: autosync checked and also autosync not checked
Tried: PA 3.98 JWR, Carbon Nightly JSS
Note:All the apps listed above asked for facebook permission when i first opened after install and I gave permission by logging in to my facebook account.
Without a facebook or linkedin account, you will not be able to pull the photos.

I am trying to set up Google Contacts. I imported contacts from Outlook fine. Then I synced them to my phone (Samsung Light) -- all fine.
BUT, when I went to my Note 10.1 to sync them I found that in my Google Account there is no option for Google Contacts, only something called People. It does sync GMail fine. Sync is on.
I've tried many things -- deleting the Google account and re-establishing it, clearing the contacts cache, etc. But with no optionon the Google account page for contacts, I can't even try to sync them.
Anybody ever come across this before?

you should have a separate app called Contacs. And in settings under account you can sync. Just use the contac app

Yes, I have been using the native Contacts app and syncing it with Outlook via Kies. I want to try using Google Contacts instead. I deleted all the contacts within the app and cleared all contact data/cache.
The problem is that when I go to Settings>Accounts>Google and then click on my account, there is NO option to Sync Contacts. There are options for App Data, Calendar, Gmail, Internet, People details, and Picasa Web albums -- and that's it.

When you click on your account is it your gmail account..
Yep -- but finally fixed it. I just finished doing a hard reset of the Note, which I hated to do because it will take me hours to get it back the way I want. However, as soon as I did that the Google account started showing all the options, including Contacts.
