I successfully created my 1st custom ROM for the Gold 7 Pro Windows Phone with the new HSPL by cotulla
RUU_Gold_HTC_Europe_1.24.401.01_Radio_5.65.09.25a_22.42.50.21U_NoDo_custom_by_ansar
I used as a base this ROM:
RUU_Gold_HTC_Europe_1.24.401.01_Radio_5.65.09.25a_22.42.50.21U_NoDo_by_ansar
The custom build has the ability to be unlocked and to upgrade to MangoB2 thru zune
In my next build i will try to include mango and dfrouter for those not sync to zune
Thanks to my giant friends ervious, mamaic, bepe and cotulla

ROM installation instructions
To install the ROM follow these steps:
- install RSPL and select your ROM version X.YY
- install HSPL
- unzip the downloaded zip file and run ROMUpdateUtility.exe

MangoB2 update instructions
To update in MangoB2 you must in your PC/Laptop:
- download my NoDo_Public_by_ansar.zip and Mangob2_Public_Trial_by_ansar.zip
- uninstall WPSupportTool-x86.msi or WPSupportTool-x64.msi and
- install Setup-UpdateWP-x86.exe or Setup-UpdateWP-x64.exe
- install StartZuneLocal.exe

MangoB2 Chevron unlock instructions
A. To retain Chevron unlock on MangoB2 in 7403 perform the following in windows phone:
[Optional steps]
- Uninstall Connection Setup after ROM flashing
- Sign in to Windows Live and
1. Run Marketplace, select HTC Apps and select Connection Setup
2. After relevant prompt Power off and then Power on your device
- Repeat above 1 and 2 to install Connection Setup
[End of optional steps]
- Deploy my Unlock_Mango_XBMODDeployer.xap
- Run XBMOD.Files.Deployer and uninstall it
- Deploy TouchXplorer.xap
- Run TouchXplorer and copy CustClear.provxml from My Documents\My Ringtones\ to \Windows
- Remember: do not run Connection Setup now
- Update to MangoB2 7403
- Now run Connection Setup
- Check that you are unlocked by running TouchXplorer
B. To retain Chevron unlock on MangoB2 7712 perform the following in windows phone:

- Uninstall Connection Setup
- Run Marketplace, select HTC Apps
- You maybe wait some minutes for Connection Setup to appear
- When Connection Setup appears install it
[End of optional steps]
- Deploy my Update_Mango_XBMODDeployer.xap
- Run XBMOD.Files.Deployer and uninstall it
- Run TouchXplorer and copy CustClear.provxml from My Documents\My Ringtones\ to \Windows
- Run Connection Setup
- Deploy my Unlock_Mango_XBMODDeployer.xap
- Run XBMOD.Files.Deployer and uninstall it
- Run TouchXplorer and copy CustClear.provxml from My Documents\My Ringtones\ to \Windows
- Remember: not run Connection Setup now
- Update to MangoB2 7712
- Wait for update to finish
- Now disconnect from usb cable and enter SIM pin
- Now run Connection Setup
- Check that you are unlocked by running TouchXplorer

hmm ... I've read the instructions and I've tried many rom including Mango 7713 Gold from DFT Team.
if not use rspl/hspl, installation will stucked in 0%

RSPL allows to install HSPL to device (if you not install HSPL, after reboot device RSPL is deleted from memory)
original SPL dont allow loading custom ROM's... this is benefit... in theory, you can load any ROM (WM, Android, WP7) if available... for now only WP7 custom ROM's is available

Yes, I also can't install this rom, always stops at 1% and restart my phone. Ansar could probably fix it. I am assuming the problem is on the radio 5.65.09.25a_22.42.50.21U, spl version does not match because it always appears message Error [244]: INVALID MODEL ID, but I also could not confirm it, I hope Ansar know more about this issue.
I've been experimenting with installing ROM RUU_Gold_HTC_Europe_1.22.401.01_Radio_5.63.09.13_3a_22.36.50.15U_by_ansar, then I try to install just file spl_signed.nbh from ROM RUU_Gold_HTC_Europe_1.24.401.01_Radio_5.64.09.20_22.42.50.15_Signed_GOLD_RELEASE, and the results radio version is 5.64. 09.13_3a_22.36.50.15U. It works perfectly in my device.
I am still waiting for the new radio version.
Note: based on my experiment: if your device installed hspl with just installing file 'spl_signed.nbh' from stock/branded rom, your spl will be back to stock spl.
(sorry for my bad english)

My Bootloader now is 1.24.2250.0, OS Version: 7713.WM7_Main(DFT)...
Yes, you can do that. I've tried it.
But remember if your bootloader is HSPL after installation your bootloader will be back to SPL and your phone will be resetting your data and application.
I did it, when I start from beginning of installation (from OS 7004) or after install Custom ROM from DFT.

I have problem with update to this version (i need Polish lang). When i connecting by ZONE soft - it all OK but... DFT_HSPL_WP7FG2 dont see my HTC and wingows mobile on win7 too. What can i do?

Read #2 post, Zune must be off and device must be unplugged from PC. You must run DFT_RSPL_WP7FG1_LAUNCH and klik next. At this moment you can plug your device to PC by USB but, phone must be in bootloader mode (off device and on with hold volume down button - you see three colored screen). Now you can instal RSPL and next HSPL.

Hi,
I will today upload an ELL Vodafone custom chevron unlocked PreNoDo ROM
This one can be updated to Mango 7720 easy with the supplied U2M7720 xap
You can select about 15 more languages including ELL before updating to 7720

just installed your rom, but when i try to install some xap tom installer it say that the phone is locked and see if the phone is connected with pc and zune is working; deploy app tell me that something is not working. what i must to do? i need a couple of sideloads apps...
edit: tried even to restart the phone after every "installation" of xap - it seems that the apps installed, but don't work. is very strange, because installed navigon and it works!!!!! advanced config, registry editor, touch explorer and toch experience don't work!!!!!!!!!!

The Trophy has a Vodafone branding although I bought it from O2.
So the problem is that I cannot connect my Trophy trough USB for RSPL or HSPL further.

I've got the same issues with mine.
Unlocked, but not deployable for some reason.
Edit: Nevermind. I did a reboot, and connected everything again, and then it worked for some reason.

You have half bricked phone now. Cause your SPL is 5.0.2250 and this SPL is protected. So you cant flash any ROM now.

I have half bricked Trophy too and I dont wanna sell this great device. Iam waiting for next update, maybe with radio and it could have a part with SPL too. We have a full function device, but we cant flash custom/original ROM, thats a problem, but nothing more. I have mango and thats good enough for me. For few weeks there will be chevron unlock update, about 9USD, so a custom roms will not be necessarry.

9usd is fine but not 99usd as i read.
So I wait
9USD will be version of Chevron Unlock for NON developer, for developers accounts is still 99USD - too expensive, u have students unlock too but its not solution of this situation.

Edit: if someone was hoping for successful restore using http://cleanimport.xda/index.php?threads/1103011/ I have to say that I wasn't able to restore from mine 7720.68 state which I backed up before installing this ansars build.

And im running official mango (7720) but i really love sideloading xapps.
Can I downgrade my trophy to nodo or something so I can put HSPL on it and flash this custom rom? If so, how?? Can someone guide me how to downgrade.

I tried several times to add chinese language files into this rom.
Exacted imgfs.bin, deleted all files of 0407, added files of 0804, then inserted the file into os.bn, changed the hex, used nbhtool to generate RUU-unsigned.nbh, everything looks fine.
But the phone won't boot, always shows the first htc screen. I don't know why...

Hi,
This ROM does not include an SPL so cannot harm a device
Can you specify:
- Firmware version (seen in settings/about) and
- Bootloader version (seen in bootloader)

Sorry, but I try one more time and now my trophy don't want to start.
Screen black and hard reset with button not working.
May the trophy is brick.
Is there any solution or something to do ?
Did you try to enter in bootloader mode - Power Off the device
Press power button and hold volume down button . You should be able to see red ,blue,white stripes .
Attach USB cable and flash with original firmware.

This is for many devices due to roll out delays and errors

i have installed the new rom on my Trophy and all worked fine.
But after the installation i have no data connection (3G).
So i tried the update to 7740. Also this works fine.
But my data connection still missing...

Same happend to me. Had to add APN manually.

Hi,
Data connection always needed a data contract with the operator to connect to the internet
i.e. APN info must be provided and/or user name and password
If Connection setup is deleted then you can download it from HTC or free apps
Remember that an e-mail setup to windows live is required for this

the HTC connection setup and the data connections runs without errors with your ROM [Titan 7720 ROM]Spark_HTC_Europe_5.10.401.08_Radio_5.69.09.05a_22. 50.50.21U on my Trophy.
Now with this ROM it won't run. Even a download oder a installation of the app is impossible (Marketplace).
I have to add the APN manualy to have access to the internet, although i never had to do this before.
The data contract isn't the problem and that's not my first flashed HTC.
I think that something went wrong in this ROM.

Connection manager starts every time after restarting the phone. Detects the right provider but no data connection after finishing. Even after updating and reinstalling connection manager.
Worked fine with orig. rom, dft rom and your titan 7720 rom.

Hi,
Flash a branded (signed) ROM of your operator Vodafone_DE (162)
After that install RSPL/HSPL in order to flash this ROM

That language thing in u2m doesnt even work.. i choose dutch, but it doesnt work.. when i go to language dutch isnt listed there...
This rom is crap man.. it just relocks after a hreset...
cant even add languages or change IE search engine..
Now DFT quite making roms we have some bad roms....
why cant it just be simple with a couple of languages and a WORKING UNLOCK

I think I'll switch to this new ROM version, maybe I will also solve the Connection setup starting after each boot...
23:27 = after reinstalling almost everything (except deployed xaps) and updated Htc Hub and Htc connection setup, I rebooted
the phone. Then Connection setup started...
The only things I made where following step by step the guide in first post and then install apps from Market place and
WP7Applist, nothing else...
Tomorrow we'll see if with HTC repair by heathcliff74 can solve the issue...
Zune and the phone told me about an HTC updated but I refused it...
Ansar, even though I yet havent used you roms yet I just donated little something for you. I think soon it will be time to flash from DFT v3 to your rom. Keep up the great work you do for this device!
Connection setup behaving like a good child sleeping
Oh, finally Connection setup doesn't start after each boot of the phone!!! I deployed Heatcliff74,
ran Connection setup and reboot the device twice waiting about ten minutes... Connection setup gone to sleep finally!!!
I can't remember what I made different when I installed NewTech 7720...

Did you try to use Bazaar app?
Each time I try to install an application it shows the following error:
"BeginDeploy/BeginUpdate failed"
And under the application download bar, it shows "Faild. device is Fully unlocked?"
But if I search the xap file through XDA site or internet with my pc, after downloading it, I can deploy to my device and the application functions...
Any suggestions?
Is there maybe something I have to set?
