Sideloaded Netflix 1.3 works on the Zoom without any mods because it has the correct lib file. I think you just gifted them $7
Might explain why this "app" does not work on the Asus or Acer (need correct file).

market link?

[APP] Netflix for Samsung Galaxy Tab

Credit for the APK Extract goes to Chinle43. I've tested it on stock GB 2.3.3 Galaxy Tab ROM over WiFi that is found on this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1073854
It works fine, but is a little grainy.
I have not tested it on Froyo. GB only unless someone else with a stock SGT says otherwise.
APK Attached.
Nice, I'll give it a try
Can report that it does NOT work on my stock Froyo T-Mo Tab.

Interesting. So I wonder if GB has some sort of DRM in it that Netflix likes.
Not working on my VZW tab either.

That'd be my guess! An unfortunately since I don't wanna lose my 3G on the tab, I'll have to wait for an official GB update!

it says it run on evos that are only on 2.2. mine is running miui and works fine (based on cm7). haven't tried my tab yet.
Over on the Nook side of XDA, it was found that by editing the build.prop file, you can fake Netflix into think it's one of the supported devices.

Sadly, I'm not brave enough (yet) to try this. So far all I've done with my tab is root it.
Works perfect T-mo Tab...thanks!
Somebody help me out please

Did you even add the final line exactly as post indicates
ro.build.fingerprint=sprint/htc_supersonic/htc_supersonic:2.3.3/GRI40/102588:user/release-keys
I can't get this to work on vz tab. Netflix no longer says it's an unsupported device, but it just closes after I put in username and passwd.

Netflix

I have an unmodded stock ASUS TF101 32gb version running 3.2 and I still get the 12001 error trying to launch Netflix. Anyone know what 12001 means? Does anyone with an unmodded Transformer have Netflix working?
Netflix does not work on the stock TF at the moment.
DRM issue.

Correction: Netflix does not work on unrooted TFs.
Well...? Any links for proof?

Links for proofs? >_> Other than the little teaser note on the asus website, no one has ever said that NetFlix officially works on the TF (although I guess there were some less official sites that confused the rooted with the unrooted).

Lol what do you mean links for proof?
Unrooted: You get Error 12001.
Root and replaced the .lib file: Your Netflix work.
If you won't take the 10+ pages of a Netflix fix thread then I don't know what would be considered proof for you.
@baseballfanz: Some people are "crazy" and like running Stock ROM + Superuser.apk

Cheetah Sync for Files/Folders

Is it possible for anyone to get this app installed to their Transformer. It seems they have optimized this for honeycomb yet it says incompatible.

You don't need to be rooted for Cheetah Sync. I'm not sure why it is giving you such a hard time, it is definitely compatible with the transformer. Regardless, it's a free app. So, here's the apk.
It really is a good app. Thanks for pointing it out
I am glade for your help. Thank You so much.

Sky Go on the Note

Has anyone managed to watch Sky Go on the Note using the latest app?
Nope.
At present it does not work on the Note, nor does it work on ICS which we should be getting soon, and apparently it will NEVER work on rooted devices.
Devs, please fix this useless app for us.
This is absolutely stupid from sky. Why cant this work on Sky note , when it can work on Galaxy and Galaxy S2 phones. Both have same operating system. I hope some dev will be able to fix this.
Regards
Vj
It works on jailbroken iphones and ipads, so why can't this work on a rooted android device. Arghhh

Give it time I'm sure the apk will work when released to a dev.
I remember they said the same about bbc iplayer and Itv player but both work just fine on my note.

It's already been cracked and working on the Nexus, but no love for the Note yet as far as I know. I am reading through the main thread now, if anyone gets hold of a working apk for a rooted Note, please link to it in here!

I don't know for Sky UK, but in Italy we prefer to read the subscription with a Linux based decoder called Dreambox.
You can buy it original or chinese clone (starting from £ 60.00...)
Way better features, streaming of ALL the Bouquets and ALL the channels (no Sky Go bunch of selected channels...).
In my case I use DreamDroid + VPlayer when in LAN and AndroidDreamer when outside under 3G Network!
Use RootKeeper, it disables(but backs up) root access, tested on my SGSII rooted using this method, and i'm able to play Sky Go.
Also hope this is adapted for Note use. why they have only developed it for so few devices is pointless.

I can confirm that Voodoo OTA RootKeeper does hide the root, I've tested this on my Note.
Does Sky Go work on the Galaxy Note though which is not one of the listed working devices?
Woo Hoo! Just downloaded from here and it works on my Galaxy Note!

Since when? When I had a JB iP4 I was using Sky Go. Many others have also been using it on JB devices unless it has recently been patched?

Can confirm this works on my note with rootkeeper running.. unfortunately i cant log in though as i already have 2 devices connected to the account. Any idea on how i can get rid of one? Also i made up a new account but you only get the news with it as you dont have the relevant subscription.
Edit.. Just logged in to sky go on pc and removed one of two xboxes and now logged in on phone.. all channels im subscribed to are working

[Q] Whatsapp

Hi,
Does anyone know a way to get Whatsapp working on a wifi-only tablet such as the TF300. Methods I found on the internet didn't work, do I need to get an ancient version of the apk or what else?
Thanks!
If you're rooted, you could use titanium backup. I'm not sure how to do it anymore on unrooted tablets

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
