Hi,
Could someone clarify to me whether is it ok to flash my SGS2 with the below files and one of the Individual CSC Packages?
For example I would to flash them with Hong Kong OZSKE7 CSC because I would like to have Chinese option in my phone.
CODE_I9100XXKG3_CL401405_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5
MODEM_I9100XXKG3_REV_02_CL1040774.tar.md5
Will my phone get brick if I do that? Or I just have to use the come with the download file, GT-I9100-CSC-MULTI-OXAKG3.tar.md5?
Thanks.

Hi all,
I was recently given a Samsung Galaxy S Duos (GT-S7562) which was bought in China.
It already came a bit hacked, since it looks like the people selling it in China changed it a bit. It came with the Chinese baseband S7562ZCLK2, but PDA and CSC corresponded to a firmware from XSG region, which I think is United Arab Emirates. Thanks to this, it came with many languages, and not just English and Chinese, but, since it's quite a "Frankenstein", right now it won't be detected by Kies.
I have complete freedom to work on this phone, since I don't use it, so I was trying to get it flashable by Kies. Whenever I try to flash any non Chinese firmware via Odin, it errors out when trying to upload fat.bin. I've already read that is due to trying to flash a firmware from another region. But at least, I've managed to get the PDA I want.
Then, after examining the files on the firmware tar file (all the firmwares I've tried where downloaded from sammobile.com) I noticed that cache.img seemed to contain the CSC files, inside a file, called sec_csc.zip, which can be flashed using the stock recovery. Using that, I managed to change the CSC to DBT (Germany) and the PDA is now XXBMD6, also Germany.
The problem now is that Kies finally recognizes the phone, but will never find updates, since it still has the Chinese S7562ZCLK2 baseband.
The question is: is there any way I can get the correct baseband, which I think is S7562DBTBME1, so I can have Kies detect the phone 100% correctly and let me install the latest update on it?
Thanks in advance.
In case anyone has thought of it, I have already found this post, but the info is not applicable to the Galaxy S Duos:

Hi guys! I just need some help just to be sure I won't brick my mobo again. Samsung service center replaced the mobo.
I have the SM-G930F. Booloader: G930FXXU1DQJ8 CSC: G930F0JV1DQIL
I just have a few questions which you might be able to answer.
Basically what I want to achieve is get the firmware with least bloat and faster OTA updates.
Currently, my CSC is in KSA and the updates here are really slow.
Questions:
1. I am currently in Qatar, is it safe to flash a different country firmware? If yes, which country should I get base on what I want to achieve? (least bloats and faster OTA)
2. If I flash a new firmware, will I be still able to receive new updates over the air? I have not rooted this device since I got a new mobo.
3. What options should I select to retain all my data when flashing a new firmware? Home or just CSC?
4. What files should I flash? Just the AP?
5. Can I just flash any CSC I want? For example I want the BTU CSC.
Thanks in advance!
Hi guys! I tried posting to a different forums but no luck in replies. So, I tried to go here and find some answers.
So, Im waiting for the official update for my phone (SM-G610Y - here's my latest firmware: PDA - G610YZTU1AQF2, CSC - G610YOLC1AQF1), but Im planning to flash a new firmware. Although, since PH-OpenLine havent rolled-out a firmware nougat update, I want to use Australia's firmware (PDA - G610YZTU1BRC3, CSC - G610YXSA1BRC3).
Questions:
-Will my phone still work if I will do it? And will my device status change from official to custom?
-Should I use all four files (BL, AP, CP, CSC) when flashing the update/firmware?
-Will there be any conflicts/problems?
-If it caused a problem, can factory reset (as others said in other forums) work to revert back to the original and official status of the phone? Or will there be any solutions to rollback?
Thank you!!!
Hi
Install this software .... Phone INFO ★Samsung★
The CSC tab (page 2) will show you the compatible CSC codes for your device. I.e. installing official software from those countries should be ok.
Flashing official software won't change your status, aka trip knox
Flashing your original, official software should restore to factory state.
Good luck!
Thank you for replying and answering some of my questions.
So I decided to use Australia's firmware. I just wanna ask which one is the compatible csc? Is it the available csc from the phone info app? If yes, XSA is not included, what will be the problems when I continue to flash it (if there are any)?
And more importantly, should I flash all 4 files or just AP? And any important matters before I flash?
Thank you!
If XSA is not on the CSC list, you need to take care that the mobile networks in Australia are compatible with those in your home country - both gsm?
Also I would avoid a network specific firmware.
Any specific reason for choosing XSA?
Flash all 4 files.

How about I update using XSA and changing my CSC code after the update is finished? Will it work?
Whats a network specific firmware? Is it the one uploaded in the sammobile (thats where my firmware came from)?
And no, I dont have any specific reason for choosing XSA. I only have 3 options (NZC, VFJ, and XSA).
Sorry for being a newbie and thank you so much

If your home network and Australia use the same radio tech i.e. gsm, no need to change the CSC, just upate

E.g. for Israel (ILO) is generic for rest of Israel. There's also firmware specific for Pelephone in Israel (PCL)[/I]

I see why now .... Here is a faster source .... you can use a download accelerator 610Y firmware on Updato.com
Download and enjoy!

More on the network specific firmware - for Phillipines XTC would be generic (Open Line). XLA Smart and GLB Globe would be network specific.
Okay, I'll try it later. Thank you so much!
Hi all.
I just bought this from eBay
It has some SK telekom FW installed, and it is annoying, almost unusable
Can anyone tell me if I can flash european FW on this? And how to, if yes?

its a Exynos chipset, you should be able to flash any euro firmware on it
You say that is safe to flash FW for G970F ?
I assume still ODIN is the way to go
Thanks
SK Telekom? Are you sure it's not the Korean Variant SM-G970N?
SK Telekom is a Korean Cellular Operator.
In any case you can flash any firmware you want as long as it's made for your model (SM-G97XX) however in order to change the CSC you might need to root the phone and use the CSC Change Tool because flashing firmware does not guarantee change of CSC.

G970N is the Korean variant, you need to install KOO Rom, you can download from Sammobile however if the SK Telekom won't disappear, ease read my last post.
Hello people, I hope you're okay!
I bought an used S21+ but it was not clear that the model I would receive is Korean (G996N). While I don't have any issues, it also misses the eSIM option (and probably Samsung Pay is not going to work in Europe). The eSIM option would be really good to have (SPay I do not care a lot).
I've been searching for an answer in regards to change the region and the responses are mixed and I am out of Samsung phones and firmware loop for a few years. Some say I can just change the CSC region using SamFW and that's good to go. Some say it will not work because my KOO CSC does not allow this change. Also, OTA firmwares are lost until I switch the CSC back (but, from what I understood, if I also change the firmware it would receive OTA normally).
Question: is it possible, nowadays, to just change Firmware and CSC to another region? My phone has an Exynos processor so it would have to be a firmware from Europe or Latin America.
I also understood it will not brick nor trip knox efuse, right?
Thanks a lot!
@angourakis Ok let me give you a clear response about CSCs. ALL Samsung firmware will let you flash a new CSC (as long as you use Odin). This has worked for me every single time.
You need to update your Android to the latest 13 and download and extract this (remember to use “direct download”, this website is the only one with a good selection of firmware) and use Odin (get 3.14.1 non patched) to flash the HOMECSC file (in the CSC slot).
Hey @traman124 thanks for the response!
Why this firmware in specific? I am running a more recent firmware than the one you mentioned. Also, do I need to have the bootloader unlocked?
Thanks!
It doesn’t need to be that version @angourakis it can be any version… that one will work though And you can use Odin with a locked bootloader (with download mode).
@traman124 thanks again!
Unfortunately, I tripped knox while trying to install a CSC from G996B version (kept BL, AP and CP from G996N and only used CSC from B version).
Now I am trying to look for a trade in program to replace the phone.
Thanks anyway, I really appreciate your help!
@angourakis I’m sorry….. this has never happened to me while flashing CSCs but the few times I have I did it with the same variant phone/tablet…..
