about the hacked skype
1) can you use the front cam on froyo?
2) where is the link?
I'm looking for it.... I'll report back.
edit: FOUND IT! and yes, you can use the FFC on froyo.

that's the one I use, if that doesn't work they say you should try this one;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1148708
either click that link on your phone and download it through there(you must have the option to download apps from unknown sources checked) or just download the file and send it to yourself through email(still need unknown sources checked) OR just put it on your SD card and use Astro file manager to install it.
this is why i love open source :]

Hello,
Wondering if there is a good torrent app out there. Tried aBTC, but I dislike it, only one torrent at a time, and never finishes
. I'm not looking for one with remote.or anything just an app so I can download torrents directly to my phone.
Sent from my X10a using Tapatalk
I purchase dTor but error for validation, don't buy it.
And there is another torrent app but it's not on the market. It's name is AndTorrent.
You can find it in google code or blapk markek.
But don't instal on 1.6

I bought Swarm from the market. I uploaded a pic of a finished download.
Dont judge me, I've already paid to watch the movie ):

You should check out Transdroid and Torrent-fu, both free. I haven't tried them yet but they are supposed to be the best on the market.

Eh. It's okay. Max was 150 which is the most of my connection anyway.

Hey guys. I use torrent_fu works great. Its a manager for your pc at home. So right now I can see how my torrents are going and search for new ones and download. A little config is needed at the start however is worth it. As 4 downloading on your phone I don't think one exists, bandwidth etc... but eventually it'll be good enough

i would be intersted in trying this program if ne 1 has a version for o/s 1.6
I use torrent-fu too.
Brilliant program. Had to do some tinkering on u-torrent at home, but once you have this is ideal.
I setup a webserver and dynamic DNS on my home PC so I didn't have to change the IP address in the app, you can use a webserver and portnumber instead (one setup, then sorted)
Now I can check my downloads from everywhere
(only legal torrents, of course)
I bought Dtor and works like a charm for me.
Sent from my rooted X10a using Tapatalk
BEST ONE FOR DIRECT DOWNLOAD TO PHONE IS "SWARM"
torrent fu only can manage your utorrent or some else on your pc or notebook...
I got Transdroid from here: http://www.callingallgeeks.org/3-free-and-user-friendly-torrent-clients-for-android/
transdroid is prob best easy to use but sum reason all i tried only seem to work when i am connected on wifi?
I've searched and found no results for this so I appologize if it's been mentioned. When I open the "people" there is a "video call" tab. Is it possible to use this feature?
Ah no there isnt what rom u on ?

alot of people actually believe that to be a fake "leak"
Now what about Google talk video chat? I have it, and it shows a camera next to my name, but doesn't show my fiance's as having video capabilities when I look at her name on my list. We both are running the same ROM and when looking at her list she has a camera next to her name but not mine. We both have it checked to allow video chat in the preferences.

i think it only works on some roms. I see the same thing when testing a chat from pc to phone and the pc will initially see the video but once initiated it will say the device isnt currently supported
Does anyone know if this works and I am just not seeing the video icons in my friends list, or if this is prohibited with the Gtalk pre-installed on the sensation.
IF the latter is there an open APK that will allow this from another forum perhaps?
RW
Official app only works in 2.3.4

only bad thing about VTOK is when I had it installed it never shut off & drained by battery quickly. Even with the screen off, it was always using the CPU & keeping wifi on. Signing out of your google account didn't shut it down either
I've emailed the developer but still haven't heard back after a week.
On my galaxy tab I am running the Overcome 2.0.1 ROM which is a Gingerbread 2.3.3. The version of Google talk pre-installed with it does video chat. Perhaps there it a way to extract the APK from the galaxy Tab and use it with our 2.3.3 phones?
I could be completely wrong on this, but...
I believe that the Talk app is installed into the system folder and therefore we'd have to push the replacement file into the system folder, which we can't do right now?

Hi guys,
What version of Talk actually works on the Sensation then? I have insertcoin 3.3.9 which gives me android 2.3.5 with 3.5 sense but i cannot for the life of me work out how to get the video icons on my contacts. I have tried everything and still nothing as even tapping on my avatar does not give me an option to enable / disable video.
Anyone know what i need to do?
So far it's been working for me with most of the versions of InsertCoin. Just make sure that the contacts on the side has enabled their option to receive video calls.

The skype on the android market doesn't appear to let video chat work. I can get video chat working on my Evo 3D but on the 4G it just doesn't show that option anywhere.
Is a special APK required? It says on there Evo 4g supported, yet it doesn't allow it.
This evo is completely stock.

When I installed from the market, Skype freezes when I do the following:
sign in
click contacts
click back
click menu
choose sign out
...but when I installed the apk I got from the forum, I can perform the steps above repeatedly and it doesn't lock up... It's weird

Get the Google Talk w/ Video installer APK here:

You just install it, and it installs gtalk, then you uninstall the uninstaller...
tongue twister...
And be sure you enable USB debugging mode. - thx galexandr
Working great for me on my Sprint Tab running 2.3.4.
Front and Back cameras work perfectly!
If this was helpful for ya, feel free to add to my thanks meter!
Dont forget:
"enable USB debugging mode"
