Just make sure you have ClockworkMod Recovery installed... and be sure to wipe everything before you install... Also, fix permissions after it's installed.
Ok so I don't need to upgrade to stilick gingerbread? And I'm sorry but what do you mean by permissions? Thanks alot

No, not unless you want the new baseband because I've yet to see a easy to apply it without the update. Could be wrong. And that's for you to decide, but the the baseband improved signal and gps response on my phone.

The official ICS is already out?!
Also you can install OTA updates and keep root just install 'OTA RootKeeper' from the android market when you have successfully rooted your device
I didn't test it yet because I modded my stock rom too much and there wasn't an update >4.0.3 yet. But the app is from supercurio and will probably work well
you can flash a stock otA ICS 4.0.3 rom after rooting

I am a noob so yeah....
I have bwen rooted for a little while and had A question on roms.
When we get the fixed gb update and I update while I have a rom will it take me back to stock or will I have to flash stock to update?

Any new ROM, unless its an update specific to your ROM made by your ROM maker, it is nearly always recommended to clean flash it (need not go to stock).
Just wait til the update is implemented in the ROM. Done.

I suggest you do not downgrade to Froyo. It is extremely outdated, many of your favourite apps won't work. I suggest you flash ICS. You can look for my ROM here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2409107
But if you still want to downgrade, first flash V10 baseband from LGMDP. Then download v10e zip and flash it through recovery
